It was starting to get somewhat chilly out, what with Halloween just around the corner. The air was slightly nippy, with a strong breeze blowing along the ground now and then. The weather didn't stop the weekend shoppers, though; there were packs of people as usual, occupying the shopping district in Durem. They seemed to ignore the cold, instead being happy with the sun shining down on the cold streets.
Walker breathed into his hands, cracking the knuckles in his fingers to warm them up a little. He didn't like the cold very much, though it wasn't too bad yet. As it was, he had a scarf wrapped around him, and a thin sweater on underneath his blazer. His hair was hanging down in his eyes, the rest of it tied back in a tail as per usual.
He was waiting for someone, possibly two someones. Walker wasn't entirely sure which he would see first, only that one of two, or both, would be nearby soon. Very soon, hopefully. This damned breeze...

In a rather sharp contrast with the rest of the people who where at the very least starting to bundle up thank to the cold, there was a woman, wearing only a light shirt with no sleeves and pants, standing out like a sore tumb as she ventured from shop to shop by her lonesome.
Blue skin also did not help much with the whole "blending in" aspect of things, but she didn't seem to care at all, even when people outwardly stared. With summer giving in to fall, temperatures where dropping to something that was a bit more comfortable for the ice elemental.
She stopped in front on one store, peering at the display to see what might be inside.

If he had had dog or cat ears, they would most likely have pricked upwards in interest. With his lack of furry appendages, though, he instead turned in the direction he felt the energy from. It wasn't particularly strong, but at least it was present now.
His green eyes went through the crowd, orienting on each face before moving onto the next. No, no, no... That one! Walker finally spotted her, leaning forward to look into a shop window and studying the display.
An ice elemental? Her appearance made him think dark elf maybe, but her energy felt nothing like the other elf's from a little while ago. Plus the small amount of clothing she was wearing compared to everyone else, she couldn't really be much else.
Feeling in his pocket, just to make certain the little metal bookmark was still there, he walked in the elemental's direction, both his hands stuffed in his pockets. It didn't take Walker long to be near her, at which point he stopped next to the window display as well, peering in to see several paintings on display. Replicas, more then likely.
"You like paintings?" He asked cheerfully, standing next to her with his shoulders hunched slightly, keeping the cold from his neck.

When Walker spoke, the woman tilted her head to look toward him. "Oh, yes. I do paint a little myself, when I have time. Those are nice reproductions, arn't they ?" It was easy to see that they weren't originals, at least for her, it had been - but those where definitively nicer than most she had come across.

He nodded in agreement, glancing at her briefly before his eyes returned to scan over the paintings on display. Walker could recognize one or two of them, but they didn't really matter particularly much to him. He'd seen so many paintings in his lifetime, they were just pieces of paper to him basically.
"Thinking about buying one? They certainly look lovely." Walker continued agreeably, crouching to look at the small price tags stuck under each frame. It wouldn't take too long to drop the bookmark in her pocket, with a strong Ignore Me thought tied to it. It would wear down eventually, at which point the woman would be left very confused.
Just need to slip out of the conversation now...

"I might..." Lyra, of course, did not notice anything odd, even less the fact that he was sliding something into her pocket. "Not quite sure where I would put it, however..."
That, and Adrian would probably not be pleased with her spending so much. Thankfully, Lyra was very good about not spending too much money, at least usually. Paintings where a bit of a weakness on that front. "What about you ?"

Walker put on a thoughtful expression, tapping his chin with a finger while admiring the paintings. "Erm, well, they're certainly lovely. I don't know where I'd put it either, though. Small apartment and all." He said with a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of his neck briefly.
"Well then, I really must be going now. I have a class soon, though it was nice talking to you." He started to say in a rush, standing up and brushing himself off. Walker offered his hand, a friendly smile on his face. "My name's Walker, though I'm not sure when you'll be seeing me again." His words could be taken as questionable, but he hurriedly shook her hand before disappearing down the street, his fast walk seemingly uninterrupted by the heavy flow of pedestrians.
A smirk curled onto his face, very like the Grinch's, as the man fled the district.

The man's words did indeed made her raise an eyebrow slightly, but he had fled the scene before she could really question herself. The ice elemental shrugged and turned back to resume what she had been doing, still clearly very unaware.
