Omg i had to say that, but basically i'm in the bay area and my school is fairly homophobic but whenever i'm in San Francisco it seems to dissipate. That city is all nice and rational. Anyway, i'm so close why does my school still have homophobes. Omg also it was annoying, for a current even in my history class someone did gay marriage and they asked how many people were against it and like a bunch of people raised their hands, i dont think they should lose rights because they are religious. Ebil ebil ppl *hits the with a *. How can someone hate someone else just because of a book? Seriously. Bible 'tis pretty empowering though, even with it's fakeness (some parts were written later and by different people then said to people). Omg i'm straying again, sry can someone edit up my first post so the topic doesnt die. Here i'll break this up when i have time into other stuff, snap i'm talking in first person. Here:

We get that a lot here. We're so close to Mexico that we're influenced a lot by the culture. Mexicans, and hispanics in general, have a philosophy called Machismo. The manly masculine man is the ideal for them. The word gay exists in spanish, but there's no positive way to say it that I can think of. All of their terms for homosexuality are negative epithets.
