Times were changing and the air was getting cooler. Shaking out her gray and white coat, the beads and buckles of her tack rustling in the movements. Already there was frost in the gardens, or at least where she was stationed. Her solitary watch over the boarders seemed long and very heartless to the age old warrior. Though Andromeda wasn't looking as old as she was in her mind, still the bitter cold seeped into her bones at night. Oh it sucked getting older every day. Scornful brown eyes watched the looming trees where she had lost so many. It also seemed so long ago that a lach came into the grounds and wanted to help bring others back. She didn't know it is had been a wise idea, who knew when those demons would attack again.

"No I stand alone." She muttered laying herself down in the frosty grass. Tail curled up at her side, her tack being more or less like a blanket, though she pondered on taking off the saddle and actually unstrapping her blanket to get warmer.

Much warmer even if her head was still exposed, still the cold had to work hard to get at her bones this night.

Eyes closing, she remained resting out in the open of the fields, a trained ear remained listening to the trees not too far from where she laid as the other listened to the silence of nothing. Perhaps they were right, maybe the demons weren't coming back, but who knew. Yawning Andromeda settled in to sleep, not expecting someone to 'join' her...
