just wondering what you guys (applies to girls too) think is the best common ever made. i think that the best common ever made is Hymn to Tourach. i really wish that they would reprint it.

My personal favorite is rancor although lightning bolt ranks up there as well.

It's that Wild-friggin'-Mongrel. It's basically invincible to Dark Banishing and grows bigger.........

Pacifism. My favorite card EVER. Though Cowed by Wisdom is looking pretty right now as well. heart
I leave the game for a few years and they have LOTS of pretty cards to choose from. whee

Indeed. No one card is used for everything. It depends on what you want it's deck to do.
Red burn? Lightning Bolt.
Blue control? It's all about Counterspell.
Playing black, and need quick mana? Dark Ritual.
Running green, and want to shrug off an onslaught? Fog.
For white, want to either gain some life, or perhaps save a critter that may otherwise die? Healing Salve.

Best common, eh? There a lot of best commons in my opinion, but off the top of my head... Wellwisher and Dampen Thought.

Hmmm... for green, maybe even a taunting elf. Woops, I didn't notice that your creatures were distracted with my 0/1 who I accidenty put Alpha Status on, and then attacked you with 7 other elves. Must've slipped my mind.
