[After a fight with Prim, Sin's panda xD]

Rue: -__________-;; FINE. -trots off to bed and winks at Titan before leaving-

Titan: Is that some sort of code???

Rue: -flicks her tail- Maybe.

Titan: ...

Rue: So what? Not going to speak? -looks blankly over to Titan, flicking her tail-

Titan: -racks brain wondering if blink and tail flick mean something; doesn’t want to sound stupid so is keeping silent-

Rue: Well? >_>

Titan: Hello.

Rue: Hey. -smirk-

Titan: So... what do you think about today?

Rue: O.o

Titan: .____.

Rue: Erm. The night is late?

Titan: I guess... it's kind of.... dark.

Rue: ._. Yup.......................

Titan: It'll be light in a few hours... most of the time.... -glances about nervously, knowing he sounds stupid-

Rue: ....Yeeeah. >-> Why are you dressed up in tin foil for?

Titan: This is titanium.

Rue: Ah. -trots over and nudges the metal with her snout- Don't you get cold?

Titan: Not really, it doesn't absorb much. -glad to be talking about something he actually knows about-

Rue: Really? Hmm. -sits on her hunches and stares at the shiny metal- Where did you get it? -paws at it-

Titan: -shuffles away- My old pack leader gave it to me.

Rue: -cocks her head and scoots closer- Are you the new alpha or something?

Titan: -shuffles away some more- No, the pack got disbanded. I have no interest in being a leader.

Rue: -annoyed, stands and walks closer- Same here.

Titan: -annoyed, too; jogs a few feet away this time- What happened?

Rue: -glares slightly and sits where she was- I just grew out of my pack.

Titan: -glad she stopped following him- I see.

Rue: No. You don't, not really. -moves a little closer, feeling 'feet' is to far away to a conversation-

Titan: True. -watches her, to make sure she doesn't get too close-

Rue: -glowers a little more- Why are you so distant? It gets on my nerves.

Titan: -glares- Your distance gets on my nerves, as well.

Rue: You were the one moving away! -stands to her feet-

Titan: I meant your closeness. -stands up, too, just in case she comes closer-

Rue: -glares a few moments then lays down, front paws crossed- Fine. I'll behave. -rolls her eyes- Who are you anyway?

Titan: -glances at her, unsure, but lies down, too- I am Titan. And yourself?

Rue: I'm Rue. An ex member of the Lavish pack. ((Lavish is her and Kash's father. A warrior alpha.))

Titan: Ex Second-in-Command of Asmodeus's Army from the North.

Rue: -smirks- Nice to meet a former enemy.

Titan: -immediately hardens and mentally growls at himself for not realizing it- Lavish pack. One of the last pack standing I presume.

Rue: -slowly grins- The very one.

Titan: -frowns- Did you run to the last pack left like the rest of them? -wonders why he doesn’t recognize her-

Rue: I went after my little brother. He had eye injury and he couldn't see. -growls slightly as the memories unfold- And the two of use were bombarded. We ran in opposite directions. -sharply looks away from Titan's face- and I haven't seen him since.

Titan: -growls, thinking she's accusing him- Well, I suppose it served you right if you could not defend your pack in the first place.

Rue: -lunges up from her lying position, aiming her body towards Titan, snarling- Silence your mouth ingrate.

Titan: -immediately up and about to attack until his natural instinct to never harm females gets to him so instead he backs off, flicking an ear as if her sudden attack didn’t faze him- No need to get angry about the truth. -growls-

Rue: -shakes slightly, looking away, towards the ground to mumble to herself- He was just a child.

Titan: It doesn't change what happened, and mulling over it won't help.

Rue: -sharply glares up at him- I'm aware you can't change the past and revenge is foolish but don't you EVER tell me that I could not protect my pack, my family. -gets in his face, glaring him down-

Titan: If you could protect them, then why does one lie dead and the other alone without you? -snarls-

Rue: Because I was bearing children that your pack killed, before they even had a chance to see the light of day! -snarls loudly at him-

Titan: -shocked and his eyes widen before he regains control of his features- You are not the first, and you will not be the last so don't use that as an excuse. -growls louder-

Rue: Then don’t dare use the amount of mothers murdered with children who have done NOTHING for your wars as an excuse to execute them. -yells in his face, jaws twitching for something to grasp and break-

Titan: -notices the familiar bloodlust in her movements and flattens his mane a bit, trying to calm her down; can't come up with something to go against her so he settles for growling-

Rue: You KNOW that murdering innocence HAS no excuse. -shakes and turns around, knowing she was bound to attack him if she continued-

Titan: Knowledge and action are often conflicting.

Rue: -laws down holds her paws over her muzzle-

Titan: -glad she's calmed down but stays standing in case something else happens-

Titan: -sniffs at the air, looking for a distraction-

Rue: -flicks her ears back, glaring at his attempt to avoid her- WHAT?

Titan: -mock politeness- Was there anything else you wanted?

Rue: -stands to her feet and glowers- None, thank you! -slurs her thanks-

Titan: -he glowered, hating the fact she treated him as if he was another stupid being, he growls and once again takes an offensive position, going closer to the nearby woods for cover. Having limited knowledge on trees, he presses against one with a weak base which cracks and moans but Titan, thinking it's normal, stays close to it-

Rue: -plops back down on the ground, crossing her paws and resting her head on top of them. She closed her eyes and mumbled intelligible as she tried to lower her anger-

Titan: -glares at Rue, not sure what she's doing, when he hears a giant popping sound and the tree beside him falls, crushing him-

A soft oof escaped his lips as the tree toppled. He was too stunned to answer Rue's calls and only when a sharp pain exploded in his side did his brain finally register what had happened. The tree had fallen directly above him. It was old and slightly hollow which was why it wasn't as heavy as it should have been. His armor protected his spine from cracking but gnarled and protruding limbs had attacked his ribs and one of his hind legs was crushed. He clawed at the surrounding dirt, trying to get himself free but he was too weak and the branches snagged at his fur. He lay panting as the dust cleared and he could see Rue's frightened expression. Not expecting any help from her because of their former argument, he turned his face away in shame and once again tried to claw his way free, yelping involuntarily when he felt his crushed leg move.

His ears twitched and he would have wondered what the sigh was for if the pain wasn't forcing out all other thought. He was surprised to feel her body next to his and he growled instinctivly at the contact. He writhed, trying to snap at her, since the only time another touched him was to battle, before he realized what she was doing. Calming a bit, he managed to use his sudden burst of adrenaline to stand. At first he slipped, having accidentally used his crushed foot but he got back up soon after and crawled out swiftly. Blood was dripping from his sides and the scent almost blocked off everything else but he could smell a foreign substance on one of his armor spikes. Laying down to rest his injured paw, he twisted to see what was there.

Titan was stunned to see it was Rue's blood on his back. She had harmed herself to help him. His head shot towards her when he heard the tree fall but he was glad to see it didn't hurt her. He worried, seeing the blood pool around her and he felt sorry for trying to-- He shook his head. Why was he feeling these things for her? The memory of Sonet was still fresh in his mind and he looked away, resting his head on his paws. His ear flicked to acknowledge her and he was startled when she came towards him instead of leaving. Her closeness made his fur ripple in agitation but nothing more and he stayed still, not sure what she was trying to do since his face was still turned away.

He jumped when he first felt her tounge since it was something he had least expected. An attack? Sure. Dirt being kicked at him? Maybe. But he hadn't thought she would try to help him further. He felt foolish, lying around with a female licking his wounds, as if he was too weak to help himself. He also felt that he owed a large debt to her. She had just saved his life after all. He turned, giving a reluctant grunt as an apology for before, before licking the blood off of her side. He might as well help her while she was helping him, right? He respected that she would help him because he was wounded, even if he was an enemy. She reminded him of Sonet once again but instead of pushing her away like he did moments before, he suddenly had an urge to know more about her.

"I'm cleaning your wound. What else?" he asked, his voice a bit rude because he was embarraessed since it made it more obvious he was actually trying to help her. She sounded tired and he brought his body close to her instinctivly, so she could lean on him if she wanted to. He had done this often with Sonet when she was pregnant with the pups and the action had yet to leave him completely. He noticed her looking around for something but he was too tired to ask what it was.

Titan only realized what he had done when she left to get some leaves. He stared after her, too busy wondering why he had done that to offer help. When she came back, she seemed to be made of flames. Her warmth was suddenly blazing and he took care to make sure not to touch again. The leaves she chewed released a putrid smell and he wrinkled his nose but when it was on him, his wounds suddenly stopped stinging and he stared at it curiously. Taking some on his nose, he smeared some on her side, too. He was hoping it would help her but, not wanting to admit it, he just told himself that if she had poisoned him with the leaves then she would be poisoned, too.

Titan watched as she rested and dragged himself away slowly so she wouldn't notice. He, too, was tired and he knew he couldn't sleep with someone so close to him. But when he curled up, his injured leg sticking out at an awkward angle and his armor spikes pointed in her direction to make a point, he found he missed her prescence. He closed he eyes and tried to stop thinking about her, shifting often in discomfort. It was late when he fell asleep, the sound of the night creatures and his thoughts keeping him up. By the time he woke up after a few hours of rest, his whole body was sore. He knew this often happened after a large amount of physical energy was used, such as in a battle, so he stretched, trying to loosen his muscles so they wouldn't hurt as much. Only when he yawned did he remember Rue and he turned his head sharply in the direction of where she slept last night.
