Recently, as in during the past week or two, I have been hearing my name all over the place. Its really kind of creepy...sometimes its a really loud shout, and other times its this really weird inhuman sounding whisper.
At first I didn't think much of it because it was usually just during school in the hall or other crowded places. I'd hear my name, like someone was calling out to me or something, but when I looked around nobody was paying the slightest attention to me.
Its not like I'm some well known person around my high school either, since there are several thousand people going to it and I'm a shy person. I've always kept a low profile.
So I figured I was just hearing things, because I've heard my name like this before, just not this often.
However, earlier today I was sitting alone in my house, watching tv, when I heard my name on the tv. It wasn't like there was a character with my name on some show, but during a transition between commercials. It was really weird because that has never happened before.
Anyway, I think that my grip on reality is slipping away. Its the only explanation I've got for this. I'd rather it wasn't though, and if anyone has any sort of idea about what is going on here I could use the help.

Im betting its a demon playing tricks on you. My suggestion is to call to it or just to ignore it.

Thanks! Would I be able to talk to you on Saturday? My mom wants me to get off of her computer right now and I won't get home tomorrow until 11. But I really appreciate your help, I don't know much about demons at all.

Most probably coincidence and you getting paranoid about it. And anyway, it's just your name. Could be slot worse, I wouldn't worry about it.

It can sometimes be just your hearing things if there are a lot of other noises when you hear it.
But if it's quiet and you hear them, I understand that feeling. I'll just be reading or something and all of a sudden I'll hear someone whisper my name, but it sounds like it was recorded and the volume was turned up all the way.
Try to ignore it if you can, if you react to it it'll happen more.

You could be a medium so spirits are naturally drawn to you like a moth to a light bulb. That would explain why you're hearing your name alot, because they all want your attention, they're excited to see you, or they're frustrated because no one will pay attention to them {the shouting ones}.
On the other hand, it could be your brain "hiccuping", I heard that they sometimes do that from a friend of mine. Don't get too worried about it, alright?

I hate stuff like that. :/
I used to hear my name called all the time, mostly in my aunt's voice. A few times it was just the music I was listening to, but other times it happened when my aunt was thinking about me. XD It got to the point I'd ignore it, and she'd get mad because I would think I was hearing things when it really WAS her calling me. XD
I haven't heard anything like that from the TV, but I could've sword I saw a face one time. XD (My tv is weird though. At times it changes itself to channel 2 by itself when you turned the tv off, I guess. XD)

I've heard my name being said, whispered at times (though not as often as it seems to happen to you - and I've never actually hear someone shout my name).
Don't worry about it - just keep on the look out. If things start to get worse, get a variety of help from: good non-phony paranormal investigators, psychologists/psychiatrists and spiritual leaders (if you can afford it), and you'll be fine.
Just experiment and try any exercises, though, at first, and see what works to calm you down or to stop hearing your name or engage with whatever's causing this.
