 Kalina sat across from Hazu as they waited for their food to be brought to them. "So...do you have anything you liked to be called?" she asked hesitantly. She knew some people didn't like nicknames and she didn't want to just start shortening his name without permission. Although Vaden did his best to control his temper, living with a male with a sometimes short fuse taught you to be conscious about others' feelings on certain subjects.
She shifted slightly and fiddled with the edge of her napkin as she waited for him to reply.

 Hazu nodded as he made himself comfortable in the padded booth. He was stretched out longs ways, kind of laying across it but you could see his head over the table very well. "Yes, instead of being called Hazumei, I prefer to be called Hazu" he shrugged for a moment to himself, "Hazumei just seems to be a mouthful, don't you think?" Hazu asked, curling his tail around his body and watching the people in the booth across from them interact.

Kalina nodded. "It is a bit much. Its a nice name though. Are you named after anyone? I'm sort of named after my dad's mother and Papa I think...although Dad would never admit to the second part. He's always trying to hide that he's a big softie underneath his hard dark exterior." she giggled and smiled at the dark male across from her.
She glanced over and followed his line of sight. "What are you watching exactly?" she asked.

A blush spread across Hazu face when he was caught looking away from her, which he would have considered very rude, "Uh oh, sorry. I was looking at that um...couple over there" he gestured to the two humans over in the next booth with his head before turning back to her. "Im not named after someone, exactly, more of the japanese word for 'spur of the moment' which is Hazumi, except my name has an added 'e' after the 'm" He smiled lightly at her, just as the waiter came back with their food.

Kalina leaned out just enough to glance over at the couple. She nodded as she looked them over. "They'd make a pretty picture." she said. "The lighting is very nice." she finished.
She then turned back to him and listened to his explain his name. "Well its interesting to say the least." she said. She then thought for a minute. "I think Dad once told me my name means 'rowan tree'. I think it was just luck of the draw it sounded like two different names at the same time. She smiled back at him and then looked up as the waiter sat down their food in front of them.
Kalina looked eagerly at her plate. "Looks delicious." she said.

Hazu shrugged and glanced at the couple again, "I guess they would..." his eyes stayed linger for a moment more before the lady look over at him funny and he quickly snapped his head back.
"Rowan tree, eh?" he looked down at his spaghetti and took a bit before washing it down with a glass of water "It is"
Hazu sat up regularly now and ate for a bit more before looking up at Kalina, "So...do you go out often?" 'do you go out often with other males'

Kalina took a bite and sighed happily. "Almost as good as Papa's." she said happily taking another bite. She chewed thoughtfully before answering him.
"Not really, Dad and I are real home bodies...we really only go out when Papa's around. And I don't know all that many foxes at the shop. Its not that I'm not social...I'm just a bit picky...I don't really know how to talk to other females...And I like to make friends...but you know...I'd really like to find someone who could be more than a friend...I guess I'm lonely...I don't know..." she trailed off and took another bite.

Hazu snorted in amusement, but not in a mocking way, before speaking, "Almost? His must be pretty good"
He pushed is now empty plate over towards the edge of the table so that the waiter would be able to take the plate without interrupting them. It was starting to get late, and being the classy kind of restaurant, they turned off the tv's, turned the lights down, and put on light music for the people who would be coming to dinner here with their dates. "Hmm, I don't know how you could not know how to make friend with other females..." he looked at her with an emotionless expression before looking up at the stain-glass hanging lamp above them
Hazu smirked for a moment as 'Stop and Stare' drifted above their heads, "And as for lonely, if you haven't noticed, I was kind of hoping you'd consider this a date" He stated, being slightly blunt, not really caring what she'd say. Although, he was hoping for a certain answer.

Kalina nodded. "Papa's a really good cook." she said as she slowly finished eating. She soon followed suite and slide her plate to the edge of the table.
She shrugged. "I was raised by two males...and Dad doesn't like females at all except for me, but I'm his daughter so..." she trailed off and listened to the song drifting over them.
She then smiled slowly as he offered his thoughts on the evening. "Really?" her purple eyes lite up slightly. "I'd really like that, too." she blushed slightly and looked away slightly as she restrained herself from giggling like some annoying school girl.

Hazu chuckled for a quick moment before settling into a smirk "Good, that's what I was hoping you'd say" He sat up a little bit straighter and flicked his tail a bit.
The waiter came over with the check before smiling at them and setting it on the table. Once the waiter left, Hazu took some money out of his collar, including the tip and put it down next to it, then looked up at Kalina, "Shall I walk you home?" he asked politely and waited for her to answer.

Kalina nodded. "Yes, thank you, that's very nice of you to offer." she said smiling. She then waited for him to get down thinking it would be rude to get up before him.
"We could go through the park." she said. "Its always nice this time of night...especially with the big fountain in the middle." she said.

Kalina hopped down and started towards the door. She smiled back at him and waited for him to follow.
Once outside she cut across back towards the LN and entered the park. "Dad and I come here to draw a lot." she said. "He does landscapes mostly when we're here...or he works on portraits. I just sketch whatever tickles my interest." she smiled and chuckled slightly. "My dad is way more disciplined about his art than I am."
She slowed as the approached the center and watched as the fountain in the center began one of its timed routines. "It's so pretty..." she whispered. "The interchange and play of light and shadows..." she sighed happily as she watched. "What do you think?" she asked turning to look at Hazu.

Hazu walked over to an open field of grass and laid on his back, looking up at the stars, "I think....it would paint a beautiful picture, as if gives inspiration for many and a beautiful picture it has painted before" he said with a smile before looking over at her, "If you understand what im saying"

Kalina walked over and laid down next to him with a giggled. "I think I understand." she smiled at him and gently bumped against him. "You'd make a good picture yourself." she said teasingly letting her violet eyes light up. She then looked up at the stars. "They are pretty, aren't they."
