Tall lamps had been set up across the FEF castle courtyard, casting warm red light and orange light across the green grass. Tables sat to one end of the courtyard, legs bowing ever so slightly under the weight of all the food piled atop it, with a smaller one nearby to hold all the dispensable tableware. Haybales were stacked up in an erratic pattern, and strewn everywhere were rather authentic-looking spiders and bats. Jack-o-lanterns were placed in a ring around the makeshift stage, with a red curtain hung across it. Each was carved with a different face, light glowing from within.
The orchestra played a rather dramatic, moody measure to the far left, to the left of the stage when looking at it. The tempo started to pick up as people arrived. As the music reached its crescendo, the curtains rippled, and out came Amelia, one hand on her broom, the other held high in the air, as if to command all attention.
“Welcome one and all, to the first annual Fire Emblem Forever Host Club Halloween party!” she called loudly; she was a loud person naturally, and now shouting, she hoped her voice would project across the courtyard, at least to where the farthest person was standing. That's sure a mouthful, she thought towards her name for the party as she continued, “I'm glad to see such a great turn-out tonight! We have our orchestra for live music entertainment, as you can see,” Amelia said, gesturing to the men and women to her right. A few lifted their bows in a semi-hello. “and we've prepared all sorts of delicious food for you all! We've still got a few tricks up our sleeves for later tonight, but for now, please enjoy the food and atmosphere. Mingle! Talk! Dance! We're all friends here, there's no need to be embarrassed!”
Amelia paused, then added, “Everyone remember, this party is for both the original Fire Emblem Forever members, and Miss Madriana and her friends. There is to be no fighting during this party. Anyone caught in any sort of altercation will be made to leave.”
She smiled sweetly, putting her hands behind her back. She pressed a small trigger she had kept in her palm, in the hand that held her broom, and a mechanism in the floor of the stage activated. Dozens of pink and white roses sprayed out behind her in an arc, petals floating about in the lazy wind. “Everyone enjoy the party!”

Madriana called for the morphs to come out of the castle to join in on the party. She walked out, surveying the scene quietly. She was impressed by the scenery.
Faceless morphs stood as guards at every entrance. Their purpose was only to keep the peace and make sure no weapons were brought inside. Madriana went to each one, giving them specific orders. Then she looked around for the punch table. She wondered briefly what the "Tricks up their sleeves" consisted of.

Melethia stood under a tree in her knight costume. She did not feel right with this party. With the necromancer around she would be fighting her darkness. Her lances were with her, but they were plastic or were they?
"I wonder.....if Soren will be here." She asked herself. She felt very alone.

Not being one for social gatherings, Alcyone stood quietly away from the main group of the party. Her cloak was pulled tight around her delicate frame as she leaned her back against the way. No thoughts pervaded her mind for the time being and she was content where she was. Swirling her drink slightly the morph took a sip of it never removing her eyes from the partiers.

Stefan walked in, giving a short farewell to Soren on his way inside. Shifting about uncomfortably. He felt weird without his swords on him... He hadn't come in costume either because he was too poor in addition to not being interested in that sort of thing. Hr quickly scanned the room for Vaherianslyeri.

Amelia hopped neatly off of the stage once she had finished her opening address, then smoothed down her skirt. "That went quite well, I think," she decided with a smile. She rested her broom over one shoulder and went over to get herself something to drink. She could hear crickets chirping faintly, the sound all but drowned out by the orchestra's music.
"Ah, Madriana!" Amelia smiled over at the woman as she went to the punch table. "Do you like the decorations?" She poured a glass of punch for herself.
[[I figure Rhys' appearance qualifies as a 'trick up our sleeve' since no one but him knows how he's going to appear. xD]]

"Hm..." She mused distractedly. "I do like them.. They're very... nice." She glanced around to see if Soren had arrived.

Soren had no desires of attending the heart of the party. He hung near one of the entrances where the guards were posted, his arms crossed and a stern and tired gaze cast out toward the others of the company. Soren had already seen to the neglected wyvern in the stables, so his mind would not be stressed over the fate of the beast. He silently prayed that a little merriment would illuminate the blackness within his dying soul. Being amongst a social gathering did him little benefit, but hovering on the fringes of the energy signatures could heal and ease the mage.
Nevertheless he displayed no such intent. He kept his hopes to himself, his disheartening and icy silence contained within his shadowy corner near that guarded entrance.

An enormous birdlike figure shot through the sky. He soared high above the castle courtyard, then folded his wings and suddenly shot straight down like he was fired from a cannon! The small figure on his back had to hold on against the force of the wind pounding against her, and was probably quite relieved when just above the ground, Tibarn flared his wings and landed. He shifted to let Lyre climb down, then with a flash resumed his winged beorc shape and extended his arm to the beast laguz girl. "Well, shall we make our way inside, Lyre?"
He was in somewhat different attire from usual. His green overcoat was exchanged for black, a color that dominated his outfit tonight. He had exchanged his shoes for warm black "talons" he had slipped on over his feet. He didn't really think his date would mind; she was used to having feet like that.

Amelia smiled brightly. "Why, thank you," she said. "We worked hard to make the atmosphere just right."

Her eyes were focused, aimed. Frivolity, though the purpose for the evening, was not at the forefront of her mind. Something kept gnawing at her. Though she fought it, a mantra had repeated itself in her mind since the supposedly innocent brushing of fingers...
Traitor, traitor, traitor...
It wasn't until she found him that she felt even remotely at ease. Moving to him, making sure no one else could pinpoint a definitive path she could take towards him, her fingers entwined momentarily in his.
She felt naked and helpless without her bow.
"Stefan."

"Yes. I like the atmosphere." She caught sight of Soren standing outside near the entrance. "Why isn't he coming in...?"
