If you could read anyone in or out of a book, would you? -- 新しい世界 ~ A New World Plot There are many people in this world with special abilities. Or at least, there was. In 2000, the government found out that a number of people mysteriously got the power to read things in and out of books. There were only a select number of these people- children, youth and adults alike- that had this power. Still, the government found this very threatening, and banished these people from this world. Really, they were scared that they would be harmed themselves. So, in the spring of that year, they took action and had these mutants, as they called them, read themselves into a special book made just for them. A book called 新しい世界- Or 'A New World'. And so the 'mutants' could not return, they burned the only copy of the book ever made. The public was never made aware of this. They were sheltered by this. The government told the loved ones of the 'mutants' that they had been killed in an accident, and so the loved ones believed. But in the book, there was nothing but chaos. Most read themselves into other stories, while a small number of them stayed in the story created for them, liking the idea of a new world. But what they didn't know is that this new world already had inhabitants.. It wasn't until three years later that the original inhabitants met mutants- Who now called them- -selfs the 'Ink Dreamers' -and took them to their land, forcing them to start living a life that was like their old life in our world. The houses were made of bricks and concrete, some had siding, there were glass windows and the roofs weren't made of straw. Yes, everything was back to normal. Minus their family and friends. The Ink Dreamers lived happily for a while, until a new ruler was announced. A Cruel man who loved chaos and seeing people cry with pain. He liked to kill small animals just for amusement. He never pitied, feared or sorrowed anything or anyone. His clear eyes were always so emotionless and cold. He even enslaved children. His name was Capricorn. After he started ruling, the happy life was shattered. People wouldn't come out of their houses in fear. Capricorn did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. If anyone stood in his path, he'd slaughter them and their family. What would happen in this land now that chaos had spread? Of course, they can always leave into another book.. What will they do? Bio: She always knew she had a gift, but she didn't know what.
Then, after reading Tinker Bell out of Peter Pan, she knew how she was special.
After living a normal life as an only child of a rich family, this was a change in her normal life.
Her parents didn't love her after they found out, and, within days, abandoned her. She was alone
for quite some time, until she was read into the story. Luckily, people took care of her there.
Until Capricorn came, that is. He killed her adopted parents and left nothing of their house.

Rainy season. The season Resa dreaded most. This meant she would have to walk through the mud and grime on the busy and slippery roads to get home everyday. But it really wasn't home, just a temporary one. A kind elderly woman let her stay with her, but Resa knew it wouldn't last long. They always kicked her out about this time, when they find out she's been stealing their valuables. Oh well, better than being killed by Capricorn.
Today was a special day, though. Her 12th birthday. Not that anyone would know. She herself almost forgot it. No, no cake or friends, or presents.. She thought she was too old for any of those things now anyways. Sometimes she wished she could be a fairy or fire-elf, not caring about such stupid things.
Sighing, she trudged through the mud-covered street with grocery bags in either hand. She couldn't help taking her time getting home, due to the harsh weather conditions. But as soon as she got back, she saw a note taped on the door. "You little witch! I found out about your thieving! Do you think I wouldn't notice that the silverware was gone? I'm sick of you dirty children, ruining my life one by one! I've read myself into a much happier story, without any of you brats! Goodbye!"
Resa sighed and dropped the bags. She knew it. At least she had the house to herself.. Right? She tried turning the nob. It didn't twist an inch. Good thing she knew where the spare key was- The flower bed.. It wasn't there anymore. 'GREAT, just great. Alone again. And on my birthday!' She cursed under her breath and picked up the grocery bags again.
It wasn't long before she was on the road again, looking for another place to stay. All that was in the grocery bags she carried was two loaves of bread, some blueberries and milk that would spoil soon, if she didn't get it refrigerated. But it would last about two weeks, she guessed, because she didn't mind spoiled food or stale bread anymore.
It was about an hour later when she stopped for a rest. She was at a bridge, that had a couple benches and a nice view of the now stormy sea. Shivering, she huddled up between a bench and a tree, and ate a slice of bread before drifting to sleep..

Oh Mischa...
Yuna whispered to her cat, while patting her small head.
Yuna Sighed, then peered out the Window. Rain, again? She sighed again. Might as well get started on my latest entry. Yuna burried through her drawer, and pulled out her Diary and pen. She put the Diary down on her bed, and opened the pen lid. She Elegantly Placed the pen onto the Paper, and started writting. Dear Diary, Today, Is a rainy day. I don't know what I'm going to do, read, draw, imagine? Yuna peered out the window. She closed her Diary, and put it, and the pen back in the drawer. She pulled out her book, and started to read the newest Chapter, 'Nightmare' She made sure NOT To read aloud.
Hour's Passed, Yuna put her book back in her drawer, then looked at the clock. 'Hmm..Almost time for Dinner Mischa.' She smiled, then left her bedroom for the kitchen. Yuna pulled out some Vegatables, some Pasta noodles, and boiled them. She sat down on her bed as she waited for the timer to go off. She Pulled out her Diary once more, and wrote. 'I'm preparing Dinner now, Pasta. This is the last of the food...I guess me and Mischa Will have to go Grocery Shopping tomorrow.' Yuna Giggled. Just then, the timer went off on the Stove. 'Oh, Food's Done Mischa.' she smiled, then ran off into the kitchen.

 I am who I am...
A young girl walked down a narrow path, her whole body dripping wet from the rain that hammered down to the earth. She didn't mind. She liked the rain. She had been sent to pick up something and it had started raining on her way back. The old man must be worried sick by now. She had been out for a while now and he might get even more worried now that it had started raining. She cared about the old man, but sometimes she thought that he worried to much. What could she do about it? Then thoughts of her old family came to her and a sad expression crossed her face. She missed them dearly. She wondered how they were doing. She alwasy wanted to find a way to go back but she couldn't. Ever since Capricorn started to rule the land, she wanted to get out of the world she was in. But she couldn't find a way. The little house that she now lived in came to view and she sighed. Well, her stroll was over. She went inside and looked at the old man, who was already staring at her with a worried expression. "Look at how wet you are, young lady," he said, looking at her wet form. "Don't worry, I'm fine," she answered. She grabbed a towel and started to dry her golden hair. She placed the bag that she had brought on the table and said, "I'm going to go dry myself." She went over to her room and closed the door.
...you can never change that.

She awoke to the sound of a cat softly purring on the rough ground beside her. Where was she? Ah yes, she had fallen asleep on a bridge. It seemed to be morning now, and it wasn't raining anymore. The birds above her chirped happily as they chased eachother around. Resa smiled. 'At least the birds in this world are happy and unaware of the terror surrounding them..' She reached for one of the two bags she had and pulled out a slice of bread, tearing it into small pieces for the birds. Then, she poured a small bit of the now-spoiled milk onto the ground for the stray cat. The cat suddenly open its eyes to the smell of the milk and meowed as a thank-you. "You're welcome.." Resa whispered, stroking its gray fur.
Again she was walking on the rough cobblestone road, nibbling on a piece of bread. People stared her way, she could feel their wandering eyes looking at her. They probably wondered why she wasn't in school. The truth is, Resa hadn't been in school since she got here. But she never told anyone she lived with that she was un-educated, or else they might send her to school again. 'No, stay focused!' She thought, 'No daydreaming about being a regular child, you need to focus on finding a new home at the moment!'
She looked into the lit windows and sighed. 'Which will I pick today?' Was now the thought in her mind. She stopped at a small and simple house. When she knocked on a door, a tired old man answered. "Are you one of Tukiko's friends?" He asked with a questioning look. "No sir," she said, bowing, "I-" Her stomach started to hurt badly. Probably from the milk she had drank the previous night. She collapsed to her knees, clutching her stomach, before fainting..

I am who I am...
Tukiko, now fully dried, sat on her bed, still thinking about the family she had left behind. She had to stop thinking about them. It would only bring her sadness. With that said, she turned and looked for her journal that she kept on the bookshelf. Ever since she had come to this world, she had started this journal to let her feelings out. If she didn't, she would probably go insane. She grabbed a pen and started to scribble down what had happened to her that day. How excited she was that it had stared to rain and what she thought about her family. After she was done, she closed the journal and set it aside. Hm, she should go help the old man. She got up and went over to the door. "Hey, Akihito, do you need-" She started to say, but she noticed that he was hunched over a young girl on the floor. She quickly went over and said, "What happened?" The man looked at her and said, "She justed fainted. I think she ate something rotten." Tukiko looked at the girl, "Hm, come one. We should bring her into my room." With that, she helped him pick her up and take her to her room. The both layed her down on the bed, and the old man said he would get something for her. Tukiko sighed and sat near the bed. Well, this was interesting...
...you can never change that.

Yuna awoke. 'Ah, I must have fallen asleep..' She looked at herself in the mirror, then headed to her Dresser. She pulled out her favourite Peach Top, her favourite blue miniskirt, and her black pumps. She walked to the bathroom, grabbed her hair brush, and started to comb through the tangled bits. She placed her brush on the sink, and headed to the kitchen, and opened the Cupboards. 'Oh, right..' Yuna sighed. Yuna grabbed some old burlap bags she collected from her last Grocery Trip, and headed towards the door. 'Watch the house Mischa, I'll be back soon!' She giggled, and walked out the door, closing it behind her. Yuna Shuddered. 'Brr, I should have brought a sweater!' she said under her breath. Yuna eventually reached the Store. She bought a carton of milk, some fruit, some loaves of bread, and of course, cat food for Mischa. 'This should last a bit, until I can scramble up some more money..' She Walked home. 'Ugh, I won't be surprised if I develop a case of Phneumonia..' Yuna opened the door. 'Mischa? I'm home hun.' Yuna yelled into the empty house. Mischa came strolling out the kitchen, and purred. Yuna put the Grocery Bags down by the door, and took the Carton of Milk out. She put it in the fridge. 'Hmm, Are you hungry Mischa? I made sure I remembered! I bought your favourite, chicken!' Mischa Meowed. She Reached back into the burlap bag and pulled out Mischa's Can of food, and put some into her bowl. 'There you go!' She walked into her bedroom cheerfully, and started to write. Dear Diary, Today I went Shopping. I Picked up some Milk, Fruit, Bread, and some Cat food for Mischa. Hm..I'm getting a little hungry myself. I migh-.. Just then, Yuna heard a knock at the door. 'Hm, Who could it be at this time of day..? I'm not expecting anybody..' She opened the door carefully, and peered out. 'Hello..?' It was a little old lady. 'Hello Deary' said the lady. 'It's wet out, and I'm wondering if you have a spare room for me?' Yuna thought for a moment, and said. 'Well, I do have a Spare room..but..' she paused. 'Well, it's alright, I'll just go knock on somebody-' 'No!' Yuna said. 'You..can stay, for now! Until you find a house, alright?' 'Well, aren't you a cute young girl..' Yuna showed the lady to her room, then went back to hers. 'Anyway, I just got a knock on my door! A little old lady is staying with me, she seems harmless..I don't know, just until she finds a home..' Yuna closed her Diary, and went off to prepare Dinner for herself, and her new house guest.

Username:Twisted Turnip Character Name:Guy Age:20 Gender:Male Ink Dreamer/Mutant or Original Inhabitant?:Original Inhabitant Bio:Guy lived a decent life until Capricorn had come into the picture. Generally Guy was never interested in politics, but he saw first hand what Capricorn was capable of when he killed his family. And he saw how the streets were now full of fear and sorrow rather then the happiness that once existed. He knew he had to do something, if not for the town, for himself. He must avenge his family. So he spends most of his time training, and hoping to find alliances. Anyone that had the nerves to face that monster with him. He soon found that most of the town was too scared to even dare talk to Guy. He was now associated with the 'Ink Dreamers.' He didn't know much about them, but it seemed the town tried to blame their problems onto them. He wasn't quite sure what to think of this, but soon found that these 'Ink Dreamers' seemed to be what he needed. They would fight with him. And so he lives in his house, and continues to look for assistance. Guy made his way along the bridge that connected the town. He skimmed his finger along the railing watching the water roll off it. It had rained last night. And the roads still seemed damp from it. He sighed and stopped turning to face the lake that divided the town. He leaned against the railing, placing his elbow on it he rested his head on the palm of his hand. I am beginning to feel like I am wasting my time.. He glanced over at the tabby cat that had jumped onto the railing and seemed to be heading his way. 'Hey there.' He stood straight and reached out petting its head and began to rub along its neck. He smiled as it began to purr. 'What are you doing out here with all this rain?.' He didn't expect a response, he just hadn't had many people to talk to since he tried to get the town to turn against Capricorn. Most people stayed away from him. He sighed as the cat just stared at him blankly. 'Heh.' He gave the tomcat one last stroke and then continued his way along the bridge towards the housing. He always like how the town was set up. The river divided it, to him it really could be two different towns. One half held the housing for the middle and poor class. And on the other side of the river was the market and businesses along with the wealthier housing.

Bio: Tasuki had found out about his power accidentally one night when he was younger. His mother had been reading him a book about a magical world, and being a young boy he was enthralled with it. One night when his mother left the book beside the bed he attempted to read it to himself. He wanted so bad to have powers like the men in his book. With out knowing it he had transferred himself into the book. He found himself in the village that the mother had spoken about and was scared. But over time he had become accepted and soon found a family that cared for him. He had found that he took the place of a boy and began to develop other powers that he couldn't explain. He was becoming a fire demon. The one his mother had read to him. As he grew older he played his role but began to wonder even more how it had happened. It plagued him how his real mother must be worried about him. At the age of 18 he had a dream of his old home and life. And that morning he awoke in his old room. It still remained the same..he began to wonder if it was all a dream, but realized he still looked the same. Once his mother came into the room finding him there she screamed and began to hit him. She saw him as an intruder and not her son. With that Tasuki fled the house..he no longer had a home or family. Over time he found what his power was...he was unsure why he remained the same from his book. But was glad seeing that fire came in handy during the cold seasons. But once hearing about 'The New World' he decided it would be best to try a new life and now lives from house to house thieving and plotting against Capricorn.

Tasuki woke and sat up from the bed. He scratched his head and yawned as he grabbed his pants and got dressed. He glanced over at the women who had let him stay the night. Good she is sleeping He grabbed a few things to eat and walked out the door. He nibbled on his breakfast as he walked along the streets of the market place. It was nice to have showered again..he had gone a few days with out a house to stay at, which made him pretty desperate. 'What to do today?' He asked himself out loud as he leaned against the side of an alley and watched as people passed him by. He didn't bother talking to anyone. Most of them just stared at his markings and eyes. He began to be annoyed by it and just decided to not even bother interacting with most. After finishing his meal he began to pick pocket, which became a routine for him. He had gotten so good that most didn't even turn to look back thinking they felt something in their pockets. To easy. He smirked to himself and made his way across the bridge to the poorer housing. 'Here Whiskers.' He pulled out a small plastic bag and placed a small fish on the railing that he stole from the market. He smiled as the cat darted to it and began to eat it. He stroked its back as the cat meowed at him. He smiled and continued down the bridge.

Guy placed his hands into his pockets as he strolled along, he slowed as he heard a slight commotion and turned to look, but the door had closed as he did. Must not have been anything..probably just hearing things. He didn't really believe the excuse, but it was his neighbors house, so if anything was wrong he would probably find out. He sighed as he unlocked his door and took one last look at the house and then walked in shutting the door behind him and locking the top. 'I guess I should start training..' He stretched and then headed out to the back. He still felt a little stuffed from breakfast. He always went to 'Laura's' for breakfast. A restaurant in the market, he liked the elderly lady that owned it, and she seemed to like him to. He wasn't sure why she talked to him, but he gladly had meals with her on her break. He walked out the back door and headed over to his make shift punching bag that he hung from a thick branch. He never really saw much of his neighbors. He figured they were all old hermits. He had moved into the house he lived in now a few months ago, seeing that his other house kept having random fire accidents. He tried to keep a low profile since then, and always made sure no one was following him home. He wrapped his knuckles with bandages and began to put all his force into his punches. He soon began to dodge and hit as it game swinging back at him. One day this will all pay off! He continued to punch now ignoring his surroundings and zoning in on the punching bag.
