No idea what's going on, then. My bad. Well, let me explain!

*various more projectiles fwoosh in, leaving Rei to Matrix dodge everything and contort his body into all kinds of uncomfortable ways*

Ugh. Where was I? Oh yeah! You, as an FEF member, gravitated to the Halloween area, and have found yourself bewildered by one thing or another. Don't worry, I'll explain everything!

Huh. Now, where to start?

I guess the beginning works!

The Premise:

Nino, Rath, and the rest of our lovable Crew were preparing for the incoming Halloween in the FEF Castle. But, the Crew quickly came under the attack of a group of morphs, led by a woman by the name of Madriana. With this new evil on the rise, she defeated our Crew and locked them all away, except for Huey, who is a morph's mount. But, there's already a thread that literally tells that story! It's called 'Read the Story!'

Madriana and her Minions:

Madriana: Necromancer, and leader of the morph army, a semi-sadistic woman whose desires are unknown to all but maybe a select few. Either way, she personally revealed that she was raised by Nergal during early childhood, leading to her attitude and affinity for morphs.

Tacitus: Stoic to a fault, Tacitus is a Nomadic Trooper who lets his actions do the talking, as opposed to his rarely used words. But, that doesn't mean that he can't handle himself in a fight, being able to take down both Rath and Isadora in quick succession. His power has placed him at a place of great trust at Madriana's side. Recently, it seems that he has been warming up to Sue, acting as if he were her real father, which culminated in a brainwashing of the young girl. But, Sue snapped out of it at the last minute, and returned to the Resistance.

Alcyone: A somewhat vain, but powerful morph in the service of Madriana. She is possibly a Magefighter, able to wield both magic and blades with dazzling ease. Very devoted to Madriana, she is quick to question the actions of others if they may conflict at all with her mistress.

Vaherianslyeri: The name is hard as heck for most to remember, so they just abbreviate it. That doesn't mean that this Sniper is to be trifled with. Created solely for battle, Vaherianslyeri is a master of combat, somehow using her own blood with her arrows, producing an unknown effect. But, as strong as her devotion to Madriana is her sense of honor, so she occasionally tends to start waxing philosophical if given a good mind to exchange words with. Recently, she has done such verbal jousting with Stefan, and has chosen to learn a bit about Human Psychology, in hopes of this knowledge allowing her to aid Madriana even more. In this pursuit of knowledge, she has gained an appreciation for humans, and has now made a pairing between herself and Stefan. But, this screeched to a halt during the Party, where Madriana had captured Vah, threatening to 'reprogram' her, or something to that extent, at least. She is currently in an exchange with Grishelda, which is showing a crazy side to the Sage.

Grishelda: Another morph as vain as those during Eliwood's crusade against Nergal. She is a powerful Sage, and she knows it. She's not afraid to laugh at the weaknesses of other directly to their faces, either. However, that is about all that has been known, other than her unwavering loyalty for Madriana. Recently, she approached Renault, with questions about Morphs and their creation. With some knowledge gleaned from this, she seems to have gone a bit crazy, completely blocking out the queries of Vaherian, while laughing maniacally.

Synra: A Falcoknight created by Madriana, with our beloved Huey as her mount. Rather mysterious with her cloak, she tends to hang back, and only show up when Huey drags her around somewhere. Sadly, her taser incapacitates our buddy, at which point she makes her leave. Although recently, she has discovered a ... 'friendship' with Vika, which has now turned into a romance. This relationship also slowed to a halt as Synra was taken by Madriana, much to the dismay of Vika.

Maln: This Summoner has never been in a fight since the guild was taken over, but chances are, he's very powerful. But, he tends to be Madriana's watchdog, hanging back and managing things from a nice distance. His blunt nature also tends to make his point come across as quickly as he comes and goes.

Weiss: An enigmatic Assassin who is antisocial at his best, and hiding in the shadows, about to kill you at his worst. Due to his lack of contact with FEF, nobody really knows anything about him. But, it has been rumored that he has a fanclub of at least 3.

Merenoff: The..... Janitor of Madriana's forces. He acts as mostly comic relief, so he is probably not the best fighter. ...But could it be that he's so skilled that he is only used to 'clean up' the morph's messes...?

Mika: The peppy happy mascot of the Morphs. Obviously, she is a Shaman. She normally tries to end conflicts before they start with her happy-go-lucky demeanor. Recently revealed that she has some relation to Nergal. Her sister is very jealous of her for unknown reasons. She is currently with the Resistance, in the Fefga House, but has done little as of late.

Ikirru: The newest morph, and a very single-minded Hero. He appears to be even more battle-focused than most, leading to him rushing head-on into conflict, whether it wanted him there or not. But, in the last event, this hunger for battle tried to overcome Madriana's orders, leading him to practically have a mental breakdown.

Nedoma: She isn't the last morph to be created, but she is the last one to show herself. She's a rather self-absorbed Druid, thinking she's the sexiest thing ever created, by man or god. But, she likes to be 'playful,' and this could be either a playful nature, or the choice to have as much fun as possible causing the deaths of her enemies.

The Story Thus Far:

The Battle of the Host Club:

Although the event itself started on October 1st, things didn't really start to heat up until the 2nd, where Rhys had created Halloween Thread for the FEF Host Club. Now, at first, it was just another random hangout, until it had turned into a discussion regarding the morph takeover. This change happened about 5 minutes after it was made, since everyone was hyped up about it. Now, with the majority of the Host Club posting and plotting, this is basically a recipe for trouble. And, of course, trouble came in spades, with Madriana herself busting down the door, threatening to destroy the lot of them. But, total crisis was averted with the selfless sacrifice of Alihi, who let herself be captured for the safety of others. Two days in, and there was already drama out the yin-yang...

The Key Hunt:

Now, a few days later, on the 5th, things got a bit intriguing. Rei, in an unexpected show of guts, managed to get into Madriana's room, and ended up finding a note that told where all of the keys to the Crew and Alihi were. The moment he showed it to everyone else, they all scattered in pursuit of the keys, and found them all in the course of about 3 and a half hours. Now, all the keys were given to Rei, except for Heath's which Soren decided to hold on to. But then, like the last time, Madriana comes busting in, ranting about the missing list. Of course, you'd expect everyone to just play dumb, right? Yeeeeeah, not so much. Melethia Dagon then proceeded to rat out Rei, causing him to need to flee for a bit. Now, while fleeing, Rei gave half of the keys to Nils, although this was not stated in a post, due to the pure craziness that was going on with at least 3 posts per minute, Now then, immediately after Rei had fled, Madriana tried to attack Nils, and ended up taking Alihi's key. So, the Morphs had two keys, Nils had 5, and Rei had 5. It was now that Melethia started going into her character's backstory, which has it's own thread in the Fanficton Area. Go look at it there.

The Miscellaneous Events:

After that little...escapade, things temporarily calmed down for a bit. But, the same day as the Key Hunt, Ikirru tried to attack the remnants of the Resistance, swearing to kill Ninian. Chances are, he'd have done so if Alcyone had not appeared, pointing out that the conflict was meaningless, due to there being no order from Madriana. Ikkiru then came the next day, and basically gave everyone a stare-down, before leaving again.

A subplot that is increasingly gaining interest is the relationship between Vika and Synra. At first, they were only talking idly. Now, though, it seems to have blossomed into romance, that continues to arch through the plot.

A Show of Power:

On October 8th, another even had occurred. Madriana, in a 'show of power,' as the topic was named, would give everyone a reason to fear her. She planned to drain the quintessence out of Alihi, in front of all of FEF. To make sure that this would happen as easily as possible, she had many morphs stationed around, including he personal guards, and her followers. But, at the precise moment that Alihi was to be killed, Rei, along with Mika, blocked Madriana's attempt, while Vaida, who had returned with a vengeance and was determined to save Tori, came and set Alihi free. At this point, fighting began to break out. Renault and Vaida were going at it, and Soren almost slit Rei's throat, but chose not to, for unknown reasons, and gave his key to Aidan. Then, Melethia and Soren began to fight each other, and it was revealed that they were lovers. During all of this, Vaida and Madriana both order the respective sides to flee. Everyone did, except for Ikirru, who had a breakdown, Melethia, who was enraged and destroying things, and the emerging couple of Synra and Vika. So, the Resistance now had all of the keys that were usable, had rescued Alihi, and gotten out of that conflict with no casualties.

The Execution Aftermath (Morphs):

After the failed execution, Madriana was on edge. Synra had disappeared, and all of the morphs were rather out of it. While she was trying to relax, a young man, named Isamu, approached Soren, with a note from Melethia. To make things even more confusing, it turns out that Isamu is the child of Soren and Melethia. Roy, for reasons unknown, seems to be possibly plotting something with Soren. But, who knows if they are, until they might actually try to do something. Also, Renault has pledged himself to Madriana's service, being a personal weapon for her. But, other than that, things have been rather uneventful among the morphs.

The Execution Aftermath (Resistance):

After the huge success with rescuing Alihi, the Resistance all met up at Fefga's house. Vaida had immediately started telling some of the members to train, as thy slowly trickled into the sanctuary. After most people had already arrived, Vika appeared, with Synra in tow. The two were rather overwhelmed, and came to the Fefga House as the safer alternative to returning to Madriana, who would probably scold them for not acting during the execution.

After some more idle chitchat, Uther entered and said a few things that got to Rei, leading to Rei's angry leaving of the room, and resulting in Uther joining the Resistance. But, during Rei's angry fuming in his room, Saturnos appeared and started 'showing off,' or whatever you may want to call it. This display of behavior started the moment that Rei came back out of his room, followed by inspirational speeches from Rei. But, if you wanna read them for yourself, then go on ahead and go to page 9 of Fefga's House, and go up from there.

The Host Club Halloween Party:

The Host Club is up to more wacky schemes. This time: a Halloween Party! Now, this was approved by both the Resistance, and Madriana herself. Now, on the 15th, this all went down. It started with a marvelous opening post by Amelia, followed by Rei, cosplaying as Zelos, trying to make the party especially enjoyable. Shortly after it started, Rhys decided to drain the Host Club's unknown savings account with his astonishing entrance. Now, everyone was mingling, some grouping up. Stefan and Vah paired up, as did Vika and Synra. But, Madriana ended up with Rhys, which really made Amelia mad. Sue, who had been captured by Tacitus was at the party as well, but she was not herself, as she secretly attempted to kill Rhys, but was stopped by Tacitus, because it was supposed to be a peaceful party. Once older Soren approached Sue, she came to her senses, and Tacitus backed off, having achieved his goal of having a daughter at one point in time. But, everything hit the fan AGAIN, when Nino, of all people, somehow escaped, and was found by Soren and Melethia. Madriana went inside and discovered that Nino was missing and screaming very loudly in rage, leading to a huge conflict between both sides, yet again. But, the conflict was quickly ended, for the most part, by Rhys, who pulled some Warp Powder out from his little stunt, and got almost everyone away, save a few others. The Morphs then proceeded to fight the stragglers, all of whom managed to get away after a while. Vaida swooped in and rescued Alihi, but was forced to retreat, because the morphs had prepared for her by setting up a brigade of archers. Tacitus did a lot of fighting in this battle by taking out a number of people. such as Amelia and Nometal, but they were spared and able to eventually get away. Aidan and Abel showed up late, having stopped off for costumes, but couldn't fight past the generic morphs, so Abel forced he and Aidan to retreat by carrying Aidan on his back, because Aidan wouldn't go. However, once they got back to Fefga's house Aidan ran back to the castle, to fight. His whereabouts are now currently unknown. Synra ended up fighting Grishelda, and was taken away after Alcyone stopped the fight, causing Vika to be VERY mad. Vaherianslyeri was also taken, but Tibarn tried to save her, but was taken down by Madriana, with a last minute help from Tacitus, whose body was partially destroyed by blocking his master from the aftershock of her attack. Madriana healed him, and Tibarn was captured as well. This also marked the first appearance of Chibi, the Vendor Lady, who was rescued by Matthew and Luna. Ikirru showed up very late and secured the gates, officially ending the main fighting.

The Party Aftermath (Morphs):

Nothing extremely monumental has happened here, yet. The 'Within the Walls' topic has grown, and is now a good way to see how all those who have been captured are faring. Ayra's angry, Tibarn is freaking out, and Roy tried to save Lilina. But, this attempted rescue is not only still in progress, it seems to be doomed to fail, due to plot reasons. Melethia has also attacked part of the Castle, enraged at Soren, which sparked an appearance by Maln, who showed his first act of summoning skills. Synra was confined to her room, and was visited by Tacitus, who told her not to worry about being killed by Madriana. Synra put her hood back over her face, signifying her old self had returned. More recently, though, Vaherianslyeri and Grishelda have begun an exchange, showing Grishy's inner psycho, and a possible look into the origins of the new morphs. But, this is still in progress, so it's best just to sit back and let it all unfold.

The Party Aftermath (Resistance):

Now, after the escape from the party, everyone was a bit shocked to find Nino in the house. Rhys, Abel and Nino were then carted off to beds, and healed by those nearby. Vaida was slightly injured, but she didn't require very much healing. Amelia soon made it back, having fought for her life against Tacitus, and was also tended to. The last one to arrive was Vika, who joined the Resistance due to a severe hate of Madriana. Huey also came in, leading to a comedic exchange between many people, and some hair-eating. Now, everyone has been recuperating, including some slight AbelxAlihi, when the Vendor Lady comes in, and has set up a deal to provide arms for the Resistance, in exchange for protection. The most recent event is the Rei's approval of a search party to go find Aidan, whose whereabouts have been unknown since he ran back to go fight at the castle, during the party.

The Search:

The search was approved, and consisted of Blossom, Pent, Sue, Rhys, Luna, Abel, Alihi, Valter, and Older Soren. This group scoured the forest searching for Aidan, and soon found him, and about 6 faceless morphs. The Resistance Group killed the morphs, and returned Aidan to the base, where he was brought back to stable condition.

Streets of Blood:

This was a Hurt and Heal style battle, pitting the Resistance against the Morphs in a final showdown. During this battle, Soren had defected to thee Resistance to rescue Heath, while Roy defected to help rescue Lilina. Both sides suffered losses, with the Morphs ending up losing everyone but Renault, and the Resistance losing Alihi, Ed, Ashnard, Nometal, Aidan and Uther. Shortly before the end of the fight, Vaherianslyeri had went back to the Morhps's side, due to Stefan's lack of an appearance. Her poetic death and burial at the hands of the Hawk King Tibarn was one of the most awe-inducing things in the thread. As Madriana was brought to critical health, she ran off to the Fefga House, pursued by the Resistance.

Behind the Door (THE REAL FINAL BATTLE):

Madriana had made her way to the Fefga house, and ran into Mika. Their altercation ended in Mika being knocked unconscious, and Madriana using a new key to enter the mysterious door in the back of the hangout. After a very short preparation time, the remaining (online) Resistance members entered the door, prepared for just about anything. Now, nobody expected a nice, little old lady to be inside, living in a small cottage in a vast field filled with black flowers. The INSIDE of the cottage was a bit more chilling. Right on the floor at the entrance was the mangled, dismembered corpse of Madriana. After a bit of questions, it became apparent that the little old lady was Nergal' Mother, an inside joke among some guild members. Upon a bit of invasive questioning into the fate of Madriana, the Mysterious Granny Figure, also called Granny N or MGF, became angered, locked the door out, and turned into a large creature reminiscent of Formortiis. Now, the only guild members behind the door, and therefore in the cottage, were Rei, Rath, Ninian, Nils, Soren, Sue, Rhys, Pent, and NoMetal. Basically, an epic battle ensued, with everyone attacking the hulking beast. It turned out that the beast was vulnerable to Wind, allowing Soren spells' and Sue's Myulgre bow to do great amounts of damage. After a few pages of combat posting, the creature died, causing an earthquake and what looked like an inter dimensional rift or something. Then, everyone ran outside, and the door was closed, ending the conflict. To end the event's plot, MGF had made a nice, semi-poetic post leaving a positive feel to the whole thing.
