So which Final Fantasy game was the first to reel you in and hook ya? pirate
Whether it was the old school 8,16-bit ones or the 3-D ones, Final Fantasy grabbed hold of our lives and hasn't let go yet! (especially if you're addicted to FFXI like me XD)
Discuss some of your favorite first memories of Final Fantasy too. cool
(I only listed the numbered ones as well only the american releases. If your first was Tactics or the ill fated Mystic Quest, tell us about it! ^^)
*edit: I had FFXI in there, but gaia didn't leave it in there. ><

Mine was FF6. I remember seeing FF1 & 4/2 at friend's houses, but when I saw FF6/3 and it was being played at the floating continent, it was love at first sight!! I ran out bought it with my allowance and have beaten it at least 6 times. 8D *twitch twitch*

My first and only was 7. Hopefully gettign a copy of 8 to start playing tonight at my b/friend's.

I started with 7 and then seemed to work my way back down the list. But 7 was my first. I remember freaking out when I saw all the CG graphics. I called Altana like right then and I think I scared her a little sweatdrop

Hahahaha. I was surprised when I saw VIII graphics compared to VII in the demo I got with VII Platinum.
Have you seen the PS3 edition of the FFVII opening? Aceness~ Cloud looks his age unlike AC.

I was 12 when FF7 came out....so it was actually my first that I owned, although I played my cousins' SNES FF games before. whee

my story's so funny cause i knew about FF for a while, but i didn't start paying attention to the series till i saw the trailer for FFVII... i was in High School, and all my friends were getting their PS just to play it... well, after the rave reviews, i decided to get my own... when i went to the game store, they didn't have it ><... i ended up with Tomb Raider 2 and got hooked on that... i kept trying to get FFVII but some series of weird twists of fate kept me from getting it... i refused to play any other FF that came after it till i played VII... FINALLY, a friend of mine let me borrow it, but the disc was so scratched that i couldn't get past the intro sad
well, as the years went by, more and more FF games came out, but i never played any of them... my interest in RPGs was dwindiling untill it eventually disappeared... untill April 2004 eek ... I bought my HDD for PS2 for the SOCOM content it was supposed to have. It came with FFXI, and some friends convinced me to try it out... well... 190+ game days played later, i'm still hooked... then i met Tikipriestess, Altana, Ariakas and Emiko, who helped spark my interest in the entire series, and now i am on a mission to play through FFVII and finally end the saga that began several years ago...
yeah, ok, i got carried away there >.>... anyway, that's my story... kthxbye...

my first game was X-2 but that wasnt up there. then FFVII really hooked me and im addicted.

i started where the programers started on FF1 i remember first playing it on the old skewl box called a Nintendo i still have my first nintendo and FF1 domokun

I didn't go into the specifics, but FF1 was on NES and FF4 was released as FF2 on the SNES in america. Just a brief FYI to clarify. ^_~

Fiannas_Descendant my first game was X-2 but that wasnt up there. then FFVII really hooked me and im addicted. Hehe, sorry I didn't include that one. m(._.)m That is great one. Some people tried to say it was too geared towards girls, but I think it was rather good for either. It had a very indepth fighting system, and amazing graphics. Now that you're addicted, you should go back and play FFX. smile
