Sososo.
I love my hair dearly, when it's behaving. Right now it's the longest it's ever been, and I really like that.. but at the same time I'm bored with it, because I can't dye it right now.
I can't dye it, because the past 5 years of constant dying have finally caught up and my hair is going "RAWR I HAYT U!!" so. .__.;
Since I can't play with colors, I want a haircut. (:
Contrary to popular belief, I didn't get this idea from anime, or video games. It just happens to be a somewhat popular style, that I've liked since before I ever saw it in an anime, and then later in games D:
Anyways I want it to be kind of like a cross between Yuna's hair, in FFX-2, and Reno's hair, from FF7 / FF7: Advent Children.

That is.. semi-short to short, with a long tail. I say a cross between the two, because Reno's tail-length is closer to how long my hair is now (his is still quite a bit longer thanmine, sadly), but I'd want the rest of myhair only as short as Yuna's, if even that short.

One of my friends thinks it would be really pretty, and another thinks not. xD
But it'snot like I can't fix it if I don't like it, yanno?
I'm sure I will like it, though.

I think it would take a lot of gel to get it in the form you want it, but I'm just an amature.
What is it that is making your hair undyeable? Has it gotten darker? I dye my hair green without bleaching it, and it produces a very sublte greenish sheen/glow effect.

Well I don't want my hair sticking up all over the place. neutral
I was just focusing on having short-ish hair, with a long tail.
And it isn't actually that I can't dye it, but I'd rather not becaise my hair is starting to get brittle, so I'm giving it a few months.

My hair is a smidgen past my shoulders and I just dyed it medium red copper. I was originally sporting medium brown hair with blonde highlights but I felt it just washed me out, it made my complextion look dull, I think I look much brighter/more alert with my new do.
I say go for it girl! It's hair, it's meant to be played with...who cares what anyone else thinks, if you like it that's all that matters. And if later on you feel you don't suit your new tail, you can just go and get that hair cut to match the rest of your hair length.
Do whatever makes you feel happy! 4laugh

My hair is never normal, I've had it dyed for the past 3 years.
However, I never did any drastic cutting until this past may.
I went from having hair that was a little over 25 inches long, to 3 inches long.
It was quite fun ^^
All that to say this, go for it.
If all else fails, it'll grow back.
Experimentation is quite fun, and hell, it'll be quite unique.

lol I say go for it. I like that hairstyle myself. My hair will never be long enough to do it....so....if you can be my guest. You will have to put up pics so we can all see how it looks on you. ^_^ Besides...I agree with Kitty. Hair is meant for experimentation. It will grow back as long as you take good care of it.
My hair? Barely shoulder length and currently unruley. I am between perms (straight kind mind you) right now. I still want to dye it auburn...but my hair never comes out that way... Last time I tried it had purple highlights for months. I thought about bleaching it and then coloring it...but bleach and perm spell disaster in my book. I just can never find anything strong enough to get my hair the color I want it. sad Oh well. I'll just have to keep cutting it back to just below my earlobes and hope to find something one day.

do what you like. 3nodding i have yet to dye my hair any colour. at all. i really want to dye it a bright sort of blue, like Manic Panic's "Shocking Blue" (they have colour samples here: http://www.manicpanic.com/creamswatch.htm ) i'm waiting until after halloween (janis joplin never had blue hair!) and then i really think i'll do it. wheeeee. whee

Gah, I understand the old lady thing,
try being a little girl with large gray streaks in your hair.
I was born with ash coloured hair, mouse brown and gray.
Incredibly annoying.
Also the main reason I dye my hair.

ugggg.....I personally really really really dislike tails like that on anyone, it is like a petpeave of mine, and whenever I see someone with a tail like that I really have to hold back the urge of running up with a pair of scissors and cutting it off..and then running off like a maniac screaming at the top of my lungs....
but that is just my oppinion and since we try to be united and friendly in this group I say do whatever you heart pleases, and since I will never see you or your hair...go for it 3nodding

And my bf had a rat tail until recently when he started growing out his hair. ^_^ Yeah...I asked him to keep it. mrgreen XD!! i wish i were proficient enough with a set of curlers and maybe mousse so that i can get my hair to softly curl and stay curled, then i would consifer getter my own Super Streak but seeing as though my hair sometimes usually hates me, i keep it braided. i want to get it really long. and if it keeps growing like its growing now, it'll have it at a satisfactory length in no time.

Kaka - I just had my hair dyed close to the "bad boy blue" colour. Right now it's green with random blonde streaks, due to fading. whee
Claudia - I had my hair a lot like this before, except where her hair is brown, mine was burgundy, and the blonde on me, was silver.

the first hair cut would look nice. Its not so un-normal. It use to be instyle a couple years ago. It does look amazing on some people. Try it out. See how it goes. If People like certain hair styles they should not worry what people think. Personal its your hair.
