Gusty was sitting with her babies in a patch of mushrooms only a few feet from the creek that ran through the garden. It wasn't far from here that night. That night... the one that often seemed only like a dream. That night that Gusty would have thought never really happened in any actual reality; Except.. now she had 3 children.
She looked at her beautiful children. What kind of wonderful blessing someone thought to drop into her life. Even with this great nad overrunning joy, she looked down at them. She looked at the one who bore the fins of her father. The poor thing... her fins must crave for the water. Still.. it was uncomfortable for Gusty to submerge herself in water for very long periods of time. The cat in her disliked being overly wet at all.
She thought about the father... the handsome Lachkynd that happened on her. That night she had been hyper after getting into a batch of cat nips. She had been rolling around on a patch of sand not far from this spot. She had rolled on her back, looked up, and saw that emerald face looking at her. Even now.. it felt surreal.

Mitsukuni swam down the creek in the moonlight, thinking of the beautiful female he had met that one night. He wondered how she was doing. He had not seen her since then, had not even been back to this area. But tonight, something drove him here. He stepped onto the sandy bit of beach where he had first seen her, rolling in the sand like the smallest kitten. He had found her enchanting, and, well... He froze as he heard movement to his right. He crept forward, his green skin blending perfectly with the green bushes. He peeked through the bushes, and was stunned. There lay the beautiful female from that night. And around her... there were three tiny kittens. He felt a surge of jealousy, until he noticed certain similarities between them and himself. When one stretched, showing off it's tiny fins, all jealousy left him, to be replaced with guilt. He had left her to bear and care for their little ones on her own. He could not change the past, but that didn't mean he couldn't do his best to make amends now. He stepped out from the bushes, careful to make some noise so as not to startle her.

Gusty's senses had felt heightened a tad since having her daughters. Something in her was geared up to protect them from anything. She was keeping her eyes peeled.
She glanced down at them again. They were sleeping so sound. She was enjoying motherhood so far, but the past week or so had made her wish she could just... walk around. Not far.. not for long.. just a little.. the only thing that she had known was her babies.
She started to think that it would be nice to find some adult company. Even someone to talk to, but no.. she wouldn't go find any of that. She'd stay right t here and be a good mom. Only after she started to pull herself from her internal monologue, she looked around. She realized she felt presence of someone else there. She pushed herself up from the soft grass.

Mitsukuni took a step into the moonlight. She was every bit as beautiful as he remembered, perhaps more so with the glow of motherhood upon her. He watched her, wary, unsure of his welcome. "Hi..."

Gusty's ears turned slightly forward. The character of that voice was quickly translating inwardly. Her tail flickered behind her as her frame took a second to start to respond accordingly.
She walked up a little closer to see better in the night. "Hel...lo..."
She squinted a tad as she moved in to look. She took a quick peek behind her. She wasn't far. Feeling better that this was still ok, she sighed with relief.
Then, she looked up at him, at the babies and back at him again. "Oh. You should.. come over this way... That is.. if you'd.. like to meet your daughters."

Mitsukuni looked down at the tiny balls of fluff. He was startled and oddly pleased to notice that one bore his aquatic adaptation. Looking to their mother to make sure it was alright, he nuzzled his little daughter, smiling when she rolled over and nuzzled him back in her sleep. "They are beautiful." He turned to the female again. "I didn't know. I'm... sorry. To have left you on your own. I wish I had known." He looked down, ashamed.

Gusty smiled at him with a glance of empathy. "I went into a slightly over protective mood, so I'm sure it's for the best. I was careful with myself the moment I realized they were with me."
She started to walk a circle around him, her tail wrapping itself around his person. "You could just stay, this time." Her eyes then started to look around. The nesting feeling that came with motherhood hadn't missed its calling either; now that he had come back.
She then sat herself down next to him. She looked at her daughters wanting to give them everything she could. Maybe... a family even.. if that were possible. Was it... possible?
