*Continuing from the thread*

Thamin
Fonn flicks her ice tail, a chiming sound ringing throughout the thread as she munched on an apple.

Syaoran-Puu
Maion: *His ears flicker softly as he hears a sound, it was so soft and beautiful to him. Leaving his spot he attempted to find the source*

Thamin

Fonn munched quietly, continuing to flick her tail, oblivious to all around her for the time being. It was only when she heard footsteps that she stopped eating, pausing to listen. "Hello?"

Syaoran-Puu
Maion: *Moving his head gently so that his hair caressed softly over her face.* Hello. *He continued to watch her cocking his head to one side.*

Thamin

Fonn looked around, but didnt notice anyone. "Hello? Where are you?" She called out once more before looking down at her half eaten apple. She poked it with her hoof curiously. " Did you talk?"

Syaoran-Puu
Maion: *Taking to the air softly he flew almost silently towards her before setting down before her* ...I have never been accused of being an apple before. *grunts in his distaste, yet there was a slightly playful hint to his mannerisms.*

Thamin

Fonn stared wide eyed at the male before her that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. "Oh my!" She hurried to her hooves to get a better look, somewhat in awe of his wings. She could vaguely remember a male in her past with one set, but never two. And what was on his forehead?

She blushed a bit, her cheeks matching the crimson color of her fiery mane as she realized she was gawking. "I... I didnt mean to call you an apple. I couldnt see you, so I thought it was the one talking to me." She took a small step forward. "My name is Fonn, by the way."

Syaoran-Puu
Maion: *He looked at her, cockinghis head once more to take her in, she was 'different' from the others he had met, yet that 'difference' simply made her unique. He smiled softly towards her before bowing her head gently in reply.*
My name is Maion....
*He paused, wondering if he should announce his full title.*
I am the guardian of the Ocean, like the Moon I watch over the fierce tides.

Fonn chuckled a bit, blushing at his title. It sounded so formal and defining. She felt odd not having a title herself and blushed harder because she didn't. "It is a pleasure to meet you Maion, Guardian of Oceans." She smiled weakly and flicked her tail nervously, tones echoing once more her crystals. She felt awkward, having not spoken to another in so long. "So, where are you from?"

Maion looked at Fonn fondly, his smile was sweet as he examines her details carefully, she was a pretty little thing. There was a different that rang out from her like the light from the sun, yet she seemed a little uncomfortable around him. Unsure why he flapped his wings softly before tucking them tightly in at his sides, the feathers seemed heavier today than usual, perhaps he was slightly exhausted. As she spoke about his title he blushed, why had he mentioned such a silly thing? Bowing low in an attempt to beg for her forgiveness he said only a few whispered words, "my apologies, fair lady."

Raising himself up to his normal position once more he smiled at her again, he didn’t actually know the name of where he originated, but his mother had looked after him deep within the mountains. "The mountains, yourself?" The memory of his mother stung slightly, he longed for her to be with them still in the land of the living, yet that would not happen now. A silent single tear slunk softly down his cheek.

"Why say sorry?" Fonn asked as Maion bowed before her. She honestly could not think of anything there was to say sorry about. Had she said something wrong? A moment later though she had forgotten what she had been thinking of. She stood there, somewhat blankly until Maion spoke of where he was from, and in that moment she remembered their conversation once more.

"Honestly, I dont remember where I'm from..." She started to say before noticing the single tear glistening down his cheek. Something didn't seem to be wrong, yet she knew enough that things didn't have to be wrong around you for something to be wrong inside. She stepped forward softly and wiped his tear away with her nose. "You okay?"

He ignored her question about why he was sorry, it didn’t need to be explained it was just important to him that he said sorry, now that he had that was enough. His lips curled softly to form a gentle smile once more.

She didn’t know where she was from either? Was that just a coincident, or perhaps it was a sign that they where destined to meet? That is of course if you believed in such things as destiny and fate. To him he imagine them as a threads spinning in an endless flurry of tangles and knots, depending how tangled these knot were dictated how long an encounter lasted for. But somehow they where all connected in a web that was life, a web that dragged each individual together in what appeared to be ‘random’ encounters yet obviously had more of an impact on the larger scale of things.

Yet before he had time to react to her statement she moved into close proximity to him and wiped away the tear that was rolling happily down his cheek. Although he felt as if he could trust her it was not time to open up. He smiled happily once more and decided to say just one word. "Nothing" although it was a cold response it was not intended to be like that, so he added with a little bit more warmth. "Please do not worry. But thank you." Her touch was a warmth that he did not recognise, it was nice.

Fonn smiled and nodded, backing up a few steps. Things didnt feel right to her, but she didn't think it was wise to push the matter. He would say what it was that had bothered him so when he felt the time was right. Not to worry, it was what he said to her. She wouldn't, she was already forgetting. She managed to mumble a soft "Your Welcome," as the conversation slipped from her mind.

A soft breeze blew, sending her fiery mane whipping around her head and face. It distracted her for a moment. When she recovered, her hair no longer covering her face, she eyed Maion for a moment, taking in the vast amount of hair he possessed. "Um..." Fonn stammered, not wanting to seem rude speaking about his appearance. "How do you manage to keep you hair under control?"

User ImageHe watched her fiery hair flicker gently past her face and imagined it caressing her tender flesh for a moment. He became entranced watching it and almost wanted to caress her face also, resisting the urge and forcing himself back into reality he laughed happily at her question, how had he managed to keep his hair so well kept? What a strange question ask. In a moment he forgot himself completely and found himself talking freely to her, almost as if she was on the same level as Elijah. "Well I have a special friend who helps." And with these words his wrinkles slowly started to move as Elijah’s little nose peeked through and then eventually her head was fully visible.

A fox of similar colourings to himself that had always allowed the little star coloured fox to blend in perfectly with him. "She has always looked after me. Haven’t you Elijah?" He knew now that Elijah was a masculine name but on the day that he had saved her life it was the only name he could muster; yet the little fox didn’t seem to mind.

Elijah wiggled her nose curiously as she watched Maion’s new company. She also believed that she was a pretty creature, yet there was defiantly something different about her, perhaps it was something about her Aura? Smiling softly she spoke, her voice was higher pitched than Maion’s yet it carried well. "Sure do, it would be nothing with out me." She wiggled her nose again and then snuck silently back into her hidey hole deep within Maion’s hair.

He laughed again, somehow she was right, now that he had travelled with her for so long he wouldn’t be without her at all. Those was always his greatest fear about letting a female into his heart and life, unless they could keep up and fly then he would be forced to leave them while he protected the Ocean. It was a shame. He longed for a family. He longed for a place to call home.

Shaking away this thoughts he smiled softly at Fonn and spoke once more, "Elijah keeps my hair tidy, but also tries to wrap up my injuries." Gracefully his picked up his front left leg and gave it a gently shake indicating the bloody bandages that hung tightly to his fur.

Fonn's eyes widened as Maion mentioned a special friend. She was curious, a special friend meant so many different things. Could be as the words said, just a friend, or it could be someone he loved. A mare? A... Stallion? She didnt like the Idea of the second one much, he didnt seem the type.

She pondered these things silently for a moment, nearly missing the movement on Maion. But a glimmer caught her eye, the waves of his mass amounts of hair were rippiling it seemed, the folds and wrinkles giving way to something. It was only after what had been hidings head fully emerged that she could see who the special friend was. The fox blended well, and had it not been for the bright teal eyes Fonn never would have been able to discern her from Maions own coat. Fonn stepped forward, wanting to see the little fox more, it was so cute, but as soon as the fox spoke it disappeared. "Oh she is so lovely!" Fonn couldn't help but whisper as she stood fascinated. "And she does such a wonderful job." Fonn stated in a matter of fact way as she backed up once more to take a good look at how well kep Maions locks were.

It was the first time since they first started speaking that she really took in his looks. He was beautiful. No that was an understatement. She couldn't find words on how to describe him. After all, who's tong could ever be blessed enough to adequately describe the beauty and wonder of a clear night sky. She found herself blushing once more as she gazed at him.

She was pulled back to reality though by Maions movements, fluid and graceful, to show his front legs. "Oh!!" Fonn's expression changed in an instant from that of awe and wonder to that pure worry. "What on earth gave you those! Are you okay?" She couldn't stop herself from asking so many questions.

Maion watched the mare’s actions carefully; she seemed to be thinking a thousand thoughts all at once, which had him, slightly curious about her. Although Elijah hadn’t been visible for too long she seemed some how fascinated by her, it was a shame that Elijah barely came out these days it had been rare to see her for even that long when there was company around. He had always imagined it was perhaps a hidden jealous from Elijah’s part, perhaps she had been so use to it being just them for so long that perhaps she could not accept the presence of others? He shook this thought from his mind, she would just have to get use to it, after all his hearts greatest desire was to find someone else who could share the wonders of the world with him.

The wings on his back lay heavy and tight, he stretched them slightly in an attempt to remove the numbness before bringing them back to their original position tightly tucked in at his sides. His eyes did not leave Fonn for even a second, she seemed to be intrigued by something as she began to stare, taking in every detail. He could not believe it was himself, perhaps she was hoping that Elijah would show herself once more?

Suddenly her expression changed from curiosity to worry, he couldn’t quite understand it as he showed her the bandages on his legs. Why would anyone who knew so little about him be worried about such trivial injuries? Yet she had asked and he could not ignore such a polite enquiry. His cheeks blushed softly, it was almost embarrassing to admit he had every allowed himself to be injured. "Skinwalker accident." He grunted as he recalled the incident, there had been a lot of blood, he remembered Elijah desperately attempting to stop the blood flow yet it had not been an easy feat.

"Skinwalkers are a nasty business I hear, cursed or pure..." Fonn mumbled as she took a closer inspection of his wounds. She wondered if he needed any additional treatment, any medicine, any new bandages. "Are they okay?" She asked meekly, nodding to the wounds. She had an urge to help him, but at the same time something pulled her back. She knew if she left him to find any of those things she'd end up forgetting, and it would be quite rude to walk off to get something and to never return.

She bit her lip as she eyed the bandages before gazing back up at Maion. "How did you meet up with one anyway? How did you get away alive?" She seemed to remember a small soquili (or was it a normal sized one?) telling her about a black and white one that roamed this very area. You could tell who it was by the lack of color in it's eyes. She remembered Scars on the one she had spoken to, scars from their own encounter. She seemed to remember, but it was all faded as if it had only been a dream. She decided not to tell Maion this, it would make her feel horrible if it had actually been a dream. Her brow furrowed out of her worry, she wondered if he would be able to fight on his own if another skinwalker came.

He watched the concern build up in her body movements, he turned and smiled at her before walking slowly towards her and nuzzled the mares main gently in attempt to comfort her. It was strangle warm within her fiery locks. Standing up tall he listened to her words, she seemed to be very concerned considering they had never met when the incident had occurred.

He lowered his head, watched the blades of grass flow in the gentle breeze, should he tell her the whole truth? Maybe it would best to only tell her the key details, for the time being at least. After all he didn’t want to worry her further.

"Skinwalkers"

He spat the word out, a soft growl accompanying the word, how he despised the vile creatures with a burning distaste.

"He attacked a helpless mare and her three foals."

The images skimmed in his mind, he could see her, begging that he left them alone, left them to live their lives in peace. He could still remember her screams as the Skinwalker had leaped towards her with an unstoppable ferocity. Blood, tears and sweat. The three little foals had cowered near the corpse of their mother, he could tell they desperately wanted to see her move, they didn’t understand the concept of death, they should never had been forced to witness it at all. The very memory stung at his mind. He looked teary eyed at Fonn once more.

"I thought him off, such a monster."

In the struggled between them the Skinwalker continued to attempt to gouge with his claws towards Maion, panic had led him to defend himself, he had swung his mighty wings towards him, stamped at him with his legs in an attempt to knock him out to allow enough time for him to save the foals.

Eventually he had managed to overpower the Skinwalker, but the cost for his victory was two deep wounds on his legs. Bleeding he walked towards the three little foals, he nuzzled them all softly in an attempt to comfort them. Examining their mothers’ body he noted that she was definitely was dead; his next task had been to save the children.

A tear ran down his cheek again, Elijah peeked her nose through his main once more and reached around with her fluffy paw to wipe away the tear.

Fonn leaned into the nuzzle from Maion. She closed her eyes and tried to relax a bit, she knew she had to be making their meeting tense, asking so many questions, worrying so much; but she couldn't help it. She left her eyes closed untill she heard Maion speak. His voice was hard, full of wrath, and it startled Fonn somewhat. His composure though was quite the opposite. Head lowered he seemed to be intently watching the grass he stood on, as if some sort of new and fascinating bug was crawling up a blade.

His eyes, so full of anger and sadness. She could feel these emotions coming from him as she watched and listened to his words. Something horrible had happened, something had hurt him, not just physically. Maion turned to her, tears once again in his eyes and she could feel tears welling to her own eyes as she listened to his few words, thought they dared not fall.

Fonn stepped closer, unsure of what to say, unsure of what to do. What could possibly be done in a time like this, when something troubled someone so? Impulsively and without thinking, knowing nothing else to do, Fonn nuzzled Maion, trying to comfort him as he had done her just a short while before. "I'm sorry..." She whispered to him.

Maion tackled with his deep emotions and to his surprise she did not run away in fear but instead came closer, so close in fact that he muzzle made contact with his warm flesh. Once again he could feel the warmth from her fiery main, and in an attempt to settle his emotions he closed his eyes. Her warmth was settling, it wrapped him in a warm aura that calmed his spirits suppressing the depressing memories once more. Impulsively she returned her gentle nuzzling; he didn’t want her to feel he was being rude.

He remained in silence; he felt there was nothing left to say just the opportunity to embrace the situation. Yet her apology was unfounded, it rang in his ears sourly, smiling he licked the top of her cheek softly without thinking. A flushed filled his cheeks and he fumbled to speak "No need for apologise M’lady."
PostPosted: Thu Oct 09, 2008 4:33 am

The sadness and hurt seemed to ebb away, washed away by something. Fonn was glad. She didnt know why or what urged her to do and think so, but she wanted Maion to be happy. She felt him lick her cheek, it made her feel something in her tummy, something fluttering. Had she eaten a bug? She didn't think she had.

She pushed the thought from her mind for the moment. She felt as though she needed to explain her sorry, to tell him that it was because she could not do anything to keep his memories from hurting him more, but she knew it would only bring back the feelings of sorrow once more. She smiled softly and took a step back so she could see his face when she spoke.

"You hungry?" She asked sheepishly. It was a massive change in topics, but she felt it was needed.

Maion stood up tall as she moved away, there was a momentarily loneliness that swept over him yet it evaporated pretty quickly. He smiled softly towards the mare, she looked more beautiful than he had originally noted, her hair and markings where stunning. Blinking to suppress these feelings also he listened to her carefully.

She wanted to eat? Before he could control it he let out a gentle chuckle, and nodded. Food of any description was a welcomed guest. He could tell she was desperately attempting to change the topic and he was happy to follow her lead, in that moment, she seemed to him to be one of the most considerate souls he had ever had the pleasure of colliding into. "That sounds lovely." His words where strong once more, his mind was clear.
