hmmm where to learn how to make your own guitar

equipped with a crap load of power tools and random logs of wood hanging around I decided I want to try to make my own guitar. Thing is, I don't exactly know how. Is there a class or school for that?

My brother says that making an acoustic is a lot harder than making an electric. Is that true?

Yeah. Acoustics have to be perfectly braced and constructed so they won't collapse under the tension of the strings. Electrics are just a slab of wood with enough room for the electronics.
