*Owl pellets!* Skywise cursed, looking around. What in the high one's name had happened? Where was Cutter? Blast it, for that matter, where was anyone? This was not a forest he knew! ::he looked up, glad at least that the two moons and familiar stars hung overhead. He paused to find the clumsy human hunter and the wolf at his heels. Then he looked down at his hands and... "OWL PELLETS!" He growled. Zwoot dung! He was now the least wolf of his family and suddenly he was four legged? What was going on? And it wasn't like he had shape changed like Timmian, he was not a wolf. Skywise blinked and thought about that. Had he some how tapped into that most ancient power? He took a deep breath. "Can't hurt to try, can it?" he muttered to himself then closed his eyes, focusing. And trying some more. And some more. *Troll's breath!* Well that wasn't it. And ranting wasn't going to help anything.

He sank down into the grass to think. After a moment he rolled on his back, all four legs curled agaisnt his chest as he stared at the sky. It was... less then comfortable. He forced his legs to lay as they should havein his elven form. It took some doing but he found a close approximation that wasn't too uncomfortable.

How could this have happened? Well one mystery at a time. Being moved to another space and maybe time away from the other Wolfriders... THAT DUNG EATING ZWOOT HERDER! Why didn't he think of it before! Rayek! that Black haired snake! No offense to snakes, of course. That nettle chewing self important stink spray! Of course, Rayak and his self proclaimed mastery of the palace. Sending them through time, scattering them, nothing new. And with Rayek... Winnowill. He hissed between his lips. Winowill the healer turned wrong. Winnowill, the black snake. the high one wannabe dark lord of blue mountian who have that thrice cursed tyldak his wings! Who but her could have done this to him?

Skywise got to his feet, and sniffed the air, hunting fro a trace of either of them, but smelled nothing. He stood still listening, scenting for the slightest change in the wind, for anything to explain what was going on.::


(and a reminder he is scaled to other ponies as the elves were to humans, about half sized, not ll that different from children.)

(it was my plan for my elfquest ponies as soon as I decided to get them. have a whole story arc and ideas and all sorts of fun prepared.)

::he scented something coming a moment before he heard her. spinning to watch her approach he tensed. he felt his lodestone tap his chest as he moved and it relaxed him the smallest bit. Whatever else happened, he still had the lode stone. he'd find the others. But for now... He watched her.

She was pretty in an odd way, he supposed. was she transformed like him? Was she something else. He decided caution was the best, after all, maybe she was a transformed human. He doubted it though. Humans didn't come in pretty.::

"Lost? Where do you think I am that makes you think I'm lost?" ::he asked, wishing he had his dagger, though he wasn't sure how he would have used it.::

::he hesitated: surprised h...owl pellets::he finally mumbled then decided to take the chance:: This isn't my forest. I have a general idea of how I got here, but no clue how to get back, and for all I know my kin is scattered around too. You heard about anyone else like me around?

He paused, then shook his head. in for a seed, in for a forest. literally. "The forest of endless sleep," he finally answered. Would Cutter forgive him for this? Yes. He had to believe his soul's brother would. He would also have to avoid Scouter for a while. He had less faith in this girl then he had had in Aroree. Then again she and Aroree had nothing in common. Except for being exceptionally pretty, that was. Even in this odd form he could see there was a beauty. She was four legged, like Timmian, like he was now. She was bigger then him, but she didn't act like a human. And Timman was taller in her Elf form, as was Savah, and Aroree. So height didn't mean human. Her ears were pointed same as his. And she was pretty....

"It has cocoons all over," he prompted, hoping it would stir a memory. Preserver wrap stuff. Sticky, trapping food... and other things live...." He shook his head. "Of course, they could be as lost as I am. Highones take and keep Rayeak" he looked ready to spit.

"The black haired nettle chewing sand snake! It's his powers that dragged me here and scattered us, I'd wager a wine skin of dreamberries. I have to find the others." HE had to. But his eyes took her in again, lingers on the draperies she wore, and on her wings. How close to the stars could she get? As close as Littletrill had brought him and Aroree? Closer? He licked his lips lightly, wishing he had the time to find out. A thought occored to him... if she was game. A small smile spread. "You know, it might be easier to find them if I had a higher vantage point...."

"Either would be.... helpful...." he said with a nod, pushing back Scouter's accusations that his loyalties could be sold for a pretty face. Not his loyalty, just his attentions, and she had to have more then a pretty face. "Can you manage getting me up there?" he asked, glancing longingly at the sky. His forehoof moved to touch his lodestone, though the gesture was so natural with hands that he had hadn't noticed he had done so.

He nodded. "I think I could be okay with that," he said, smiling. This wouldn't be unlike riding Littletrill, he told himself. Of course in that case it was the rider he was attracted to not the mount. At least he was smaller then her, that had to be useful somewhere. He tried to figure out how to climb onto her back, and frowned. looking around, he found a stone to step on, and perched on it, the small rock a bit too small for all four of his feet to balance on, but tall enough for what he had to do. "Puckernuts" he muttered as he launched himself at her back as best he could without hurting her or falling. At least he was still wolfrider agile, he noticed, as he adjusted mid leap. it was just when he thought of having four legs that he tripped up, it seemed. All the same, it would have been comforting to have a healer nearby.....
