A logging and continuing rp from the main thread between Leiko and Mahina. Others may come in later if Apple wishes. <3Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *Runs into the ocean* VG Cat Mahina: -runs after Leiko, jumping into the water with glee- Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *swims playfuly underwater sneaking up on Mahina* VG Cat Mahina: -splashing around happily before noticing she couldn't see her sister- Leiko? -blinks, looking around above the water- Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *Jaws theme plays as she swims underneath Mahina and then comes up from behind and *GLOMPS* her* VG Cat Mahina: Ah! -screams as she's unexpetedly glomped from behind- Leiko! -laughs- Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *giggles with her sister and then continues her exploring underwater* VG Cat Mahina: -holds her breath and goes underwater with Leiko, looking at all the colorful fish- Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *swims and swims, then sees a kind of fish her Daddy always brought home for dinner, and chases after it intending to eat it* xD VG Cat Mahina: -spots something large and gray in the distance with rows of sharp teeth- Uh oh. O-O -gulps and tries to catch up to Leiko- Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *notices her sister swimming fast towards her and stops chasing the fish to let her catch up* VG Cat Mahina: -finally catches up, pointing frantically in the direction of the fish as it grew larger while approaching- Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *Leiko sees the large fish, but doesn't panic. She motions to her sister to the surface so they can speak quickly* VG Cat Mahina: -nods and surfaces, she was running out of breath anyways. Gasping for breath she looked at Leiko- What is that thing?! It doesn't look very friendly with so many teeth! -she said in a rushed whisper- Apple Blossom19 Leiko: *surfaces and breathes deeply* "I agree." Leiko said smiling, "I think we should return as fast as we can to dry land" VG Cat Mahina: -nods and begins to swim in the direction of land, luckily they didn't swim too far out to sea- I bet that thing is a better and faster swimmer than us, hopefully it hasn't even seen us. -feels something scratch her- Ow! -looks down and sees that some sharp coral had cut her a bit, not enough to make her bleed but enough for the shark to catch it's familiar scent as it turned in their direction moments later- Oh shi-! -swims faster-

Apple doesn't mind others comming in ^_^
*Leiko turned to check on her sister and saw that she wasn't swimming as fast as her...Leiko had to atribute that to her love of water and swimming from a young age. As Leiko turned back towards shore, she heard Mahina yelp and stoped truning back to see what was the matter. She saw the shadow of the large creature turn towards them, and Leiko lost all happiness and carefree aditude as she made way back to her sister quickly to help her get to shore faster.*

Mahina noticed that her sister was a better swimmer than her, and she wasn't surprised. When she swam it was more like splashing around in the shallower parts where she didn't have to work so hard. Leiko on the other hand loved swimming, as could be seen by her adaptability in the water. No matter how hard she kicked and paddled in the water she was still feet from her sister, and the shadow in the water was slowly getting closer. "Faster Mahina, faster." She said to herself, trying not to panic as the green and brown lioness turned back to help her. If only her wings were of any use in the water!

 Leiko's muscles in her legs were hurting, and she knew a cramp wasn't far away, but she had to keep it up, she had too!!! She saw the shadow keep getting closer and closer to Mahina, her mind filling with anger at it. No one would hurt her family!!!!!!! This thought caused her to swim harder than she ever had before. Then a thought darted across her mind like a cub romping in a felid without a care.
"I could try that.....but would it work? Would I be safe too?" she thought.
Her sister struggling to swim confirmed her decision.
"I have to try it."
She took a deep breath and dove under the water and prayed it worked.

The blue lioness dared to look behind her at the shadow growing nearer and nearer, letting out an 'eek!' before facing the direction of the island in time to see her sister dive under water with a gasp. "Leiko?! What are you doing?!" She shouted worriedly.
When she followed the form of her submerged sister she noticed something solid and close to the surface of the water. Whatever it was made shallow water so she started to swim in the direction of the submerged 'island'. After a few moments of panicked swimming she reached it, her paws touching the permanently wet sand that lifted her out of the water, the ocean now only up to her ankles. Panting and tired she turned to see where her sister was. Man am I pathetic in the water.

*Leiko smiled with releaf as she saw her sister dissapear above water, and she had to smile larger as she realized that she was still there. Leiko turned sharply in the water again as fast as she could opening one of her wings pulling on the water to whip her body towards the shore. Pulling her wings towards her body as close as she could, she swam quickly towards the surface. Her lungs burned for air, but the surface was very near. She smiled ruefuly. Even with wet wings, and less than graceful flying skills, the speed and angle she had would launch her enough to get her out of the water to land and saftey.*

Mahina looked down at the crystal clear water, spotting her teal and brown sister. "Hurry Leiko, hurry." She said in a frantic hush, her tail twitching wildly and paws doing a strange little dance as she shifted her weight around. It wasn't long before the other lioness shot out of the water and landed on the wet sandy shallow, the blue lioness tackling her sister. "Leiko! I was soo scared you wouldn't make it! That gray thing was so close!"
She got up off her sister and looked back at the water to see where the terrifying fish had gone. It was circling the little island, waiting for them to get back in the water it seemed. "No worries, we can just wait for our wings to dry and then we can fly back to the island. Right?" Mahina said, still panting lightly as she turned to her sister and sat in the shallow water.

Landing next to her sister, Leiko fell in exsustion. But her releafe was intrupted by her sister jumping on her. She smiled at the love of her sister as she spoke. She closed her eyes not really paying attention to her, her whole body ached.
She opened her eyes as her sister got off her, and looked out at the water. The strange fish was swiming around them, and Leiko smiled as she did down in the water. She heard Mahina this time and looked up tiredly at her.
"Yes." she laughed, "It would be wise."
She then crawled over to her and nuzzled her sister's hanches with a sad look, "I'm sorry....." she said chirping, "I wasn't fast enough.."

"What do you mean?" The blue lioness asked curiously, looking down at her sister. "You're the fastest swimmer I've ever seen Leiko! You saved me from that...thing." She looked out at the water. "Daddy'll know what that is, he's smart like that."
Mahina looked down again and noticed that when she moved her paw, a stinging feeling in her ankle. "I forgot I cut myself on some coral." The lioness frowned slightly and shrugged. "It'll heal. Are you ok?"

Leiko closed her eyes tightly feeling sad. "I just don't want you hurt..." Leiko relaxed her eyes, fatuge setting in. She on other occasions had thought about what would happen if one of her family memebers would be seriously hurt...let alone worse. She knew though that it was just the fear her love of her family had if it happened. But her sister talking about her father made her happy again that Mahina was alright becieds a small cut. Leiko forced her eyes open and looked up at her sister as she asked if she was alright. "My body hurts," then she smiled brightly, "but when we dry I can fly if I force myself a little more. Don't worry about me."
Some time after, Leiko felt tired, but her wings were dry enough to fly. She thought about landing on the beach and staying there for the night. She didn't know what her parents would think, but she wantted sleep, and the den was so far... Meanwhile, she looked for the creature that had chased them, but couldn't see it. But she wasn't about to take chances. She looked to Mahina and smiled tiredly, "Are you dry?"

Mahina felt bad for her sister, the only reason her body was aching was because she wasn't a fast enough swimmer. If she could have swam faster Leiko wouldn't have had to come and rescue her. Her ears were laying flat when she thought this, but perked up moments later when she started thinking about how they'd tell their mother and father about this little adventure.
Time passed and the blue lioness spread her earthy brown wings, fanning them so the last bits of moisture would evaporate in the afternoon sun when the teal and brown lioness spoke again. "Yeah, I'm dry. Ready to get back to the island?"

Leiko nodded and stood. She streched her wings, they ached, probably from the swiming and from not moving for so long. She forced herself to start to fly, feeling tired already from a few flaps. She smiled though at her sister and hid her problem, knowing she could make it to the shore with Mahina by her side.
