Harpy

In Greek mythology, a harpy ("snatcher",[1] from Latin: harpȳia, Greek: ἅρπυια, harpūia) was any one of the mainly winged death-spirits[2] best known for constantly stealing all food from Phineas. The literal meaning of the word seems to be "that which snatches" as it comes from the ancient Greek word harpazein (ἅρπάξειν), which means "to snatch".

The harpy could also bring life. A harpy was the mother by the West Wind Zephyros of the horses of Achilles (Iliad xvi. 150). In this context Jane Harrison adduced the notion in Virgil's Georgics that mares became gravid by the wind alone, marvelous to say (iii.274).

Though Hesiod (Theogony) calls them two "lovely-haired" creatures, harpies as beautiful winged bird-women are a late development, in parallel with the transformation of the siren, a "creature malign though seductive in Homer, but gradually softened by the Athenian imagination into a sorrowful death angel".[3] On a vase in the Berlin Museum,[4] a harpy has a small figure of a hero in each claw, but her head is recognizably a Gorgon, with goggling eyes, protruding tongue, and tusks.

Chinese dragon

The Chinese dragon or Oriental dragon is a mythical creature in East Asian culture with a Chinese origin. It is visualized as a long, scaled, snake-like creature with four legs and five claws on each. In contrast to the European dragon which stands on four legs and which is usually portrayed as evil, the Chinese dragon has long been a potent symbol of auspicious power in Chinese folklore and art. The Chinese dragon is traditionally also the embodiment of the concept of yang (male) and associated with the weather as the bringer of rain and water in an agriculturally water-driven nation. Its female counterpart is the Fenghuang (phoenix).

The dragon is sometimes used in the West as a national emblem of China. However, this usage within both the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China on Taiwan is rare. Firstly, the dragon was historically the symbol of the Emperor of China. Starting with the Yuan Dynasty, regular citizens were forbidden to associate themselves with the symbol. The dragon re-emerged during the Qing Dynasty and appeared on national flags.[1]

Secondly, in European-influenced cultures, the dragon has aggressive, warlike connotations that the Chinese government wishes to avoid. It is for these reasons that the giant panda is far more often used within China as a national emblem than the dragon. In Hong Kong, however, the dragon is part of the design of Brand Hong Kong, a symbol used to promote Hong Kong as an international brand name[2].

Many Chinese people often use the term "Descendants of the Dragon" (龍的傳人) as a sign of ethnic identity, as part of a trend started in the 1970s when different Asian nationalities were looking for animal symbols for representations.[1] The wolf was used among the Mongols, the monkey among Tibetans.[1]

In Chinese culture today, it is mostly used for decorative purposes. It is a taboo to disfigure a depiction of a dragon; for example, an advertisement campaign commissioned by Nike, which featured the American basketball player LeBron James slaying a dragon (as well as beating up an old Kung Fu master), was immediately banned by the Chinese government after public outcry over disrespect.[3]

A number of Chinese proverbs and idioms also feature references to the dragon, for example: "Hoping one's son will become a dragon" (望子成龍, i.e. be as successful and powerful as a dragon).

ahuizotl

The ahuizotl (or ahuitzotl) is a legendary creature in Aztec belief. It was described as otter-like, with hands capable of manipulation and an additional hand on its tail. The ahuizotl was feared due to its liking for human flesh, especially nails, eyes, and teeth. It was said to live in or near the water and uses the hand on the end of its tail to snatch its prey.

Personality: Genri is a calm and collected seeing as he lives in solitude when he meets people he becomes shy and and doesn't talk a lot, but if they are hurt he tries his best to help them so he is known as the healer in the town he lives near, he practices Herbology but still can't tell some plants apart but he still tries because he want to help people even though he id a little scared of them.

Bio: Genri is a kind person he had a very unusual upbringing but it made him stronger this is his story.

After his village made a deal with a dragon that was attacking the village, the people decided to give Drako (as the dragon was called ) a boy in order for it to stop attacking the village. Drako saw that the boy had exceptional capabilities, so he accepted this a took the boy to the mountains where it lived, as Genri grew up in the care of the dragon he learned many things, the one thing that interested Genri the most was Herbology, the use of plants in medicine, and the dragon passed on his wisdom of the subject to Genri, but nothing else for Genri needed to learn some things on his own, many years passed and Genri grew into a man (he was around 13 then a full fledged man to the dragon ) Drako decided it was time that the boy go out into the world and explore new things. As Genri went into the world he found many things he did not understand so he didn't talk very much to anyone, he learned how to build houses and built one in a forest off the beaten path that was near many herbs that could he use if he got injured or sick. Cut off from most of the world he decided that he needed to learn how to defend himself so he went to a Dojo in to mountains to learn the ways of the sword, after about 5 years of study he went back to his home and kept working on his Herbology he gradually started to know some of the people of the town and told one person what he does and then the whole town knew so he was like the town doctor, people came to his home to see if he could help them with some problems they had, the most he saw was sprains, and colds, which were easily treated, he warmed up to some of the people in town but when some one came to him he didn't know he was very cautious, but as time went by he moved into to town and became the towns doctor and helped them though many things with his knowledge of plants but must refer to books on some plants, because they look so alike he can't tell them apart

that does help quite a lot thank you!! and i tweaked it some i liked the idea of it just constantly shifting for safety i made it so it would shift to the strong metals but when i put that in to a Raeven it would eat the weaker metals and make them stronger

Fenrir, as well, is a literal god of Norse mythology. I listed him once in my thread when I first started. He's not usable, too powerful, irreplaceable, etc.
I'm also feeling strange about the Níðhöggr considering the Yggdrasil Tree is pretty much the center of Fel Essence creation. Seems to over lap too much, but I could just be talking out of my a** for that.

First and foremost, the art. Is stolen. I'd highly recommend actually getting a commish or drawing up a picture yourself, because that character isn't actually yours.
His age concerns me, as well. A couple billion? If you must, it'd be nice to have a description of his race and why they can live so long, why he was able to live so long, anything. As it stands now, it just seems like he's some immortal dinosaur or something.
His profile is really weak, too, we need to know more about him, there's so little that we're likely not going to care about him, whether he comes to own a Raevan or not [but if he does, we may worry because we don't know if he can actually care for it], etc.
