Yesterday (Fri 5 Dec) I was a discount queen with all the great stuff I found.
At a local opportunity shop that I don't visit often, I found these beauties:
A grey denim bodice top for $3:

A gorgeous red Chinese vest for $8:

Cute pie earrings for $4:

I also bought a random gift for a friend. She wants to make a smocked dress for her granddaughter, and there just happened to be a lovely magazine with beautiful smocking designs and instructions in it. The shopkeepers only asked me for 50c for it, even though it was in mint condition. Score!
Just before I shopped in the op-shop, I went to an emporium right near it. They had a bucket of "new" clothes for $3 each. I had seen a skirt that I wanted the day before, I just didn't have time to buy it before.
This is what I bought from the emporium:
My very first sailor style shirt:

I'm pleased with the price because it still had its tag stating the original price of 89.80 Chinese Yuan, which would be about $24 New Zealand Dollars at the current exchange rate.
My other item from the emporium is definitely a do-up job. This skirt requires severe intervention, even though it is "new". It is super short, too small for me, has rust stains all over it and the elastic has perished. But it has potential and I wanted to rescue it:

You can't see the rust stains very well from that pic, but they're very noticeable flecks up close. The skirt is currently soaking in Napisan. Further modifications will be made if I am happy with the outcome of this step. Extreme makeover for clothes, hehe.
Then once I got home, after a trip to the movies with two of my best friends I got a delivery.

New socks I bought off my country's auction site. Altogether they were $23 including shipping. That worked out to be cheaper than my department store socks. I have since found even cheaper long socks in temporary stands in my local mall. I just have to find out which place has the best fit for me
smile Then today, Saturday the 6th (International Loli Day) I went retail and spent a bomb buying clothes and Christmas prezzies hehe.
