Papillon slowly walked around the new land. He didn't exactly know where he was going, but he figured he knew the way back to where he started out. A blue butterfly flew ahead of him while he followed close behind his friend. His long tail dragging on the ground as he walked and the tips of his mane would drag when Papillon's head was lowered enough. With each step he took, Papillon was reminded of the chains on his back. The high pitched rattling made his purple ears flick every now and then. After so long of having the chains, he still wasn't used to the sound they made.

A purple butterfly rested on the stallion's back as he walked along. His butterfly friends were always hitching rides on the stallion as he walked. It was much easier than flying. When the blue butterfly leading the way turned a little to the left, Papillon followed. He trusted this butterfly enough to simply follow it wherever it decided to go.

Papilleon, More commonly known as Leon ( And affectionately called Pilly by his younger sister, though he would never admit it ). The night has left but the air was still soft with the golden light of dawn... not quite sunrise but the day was still so new that it still had that quiet calm feel of night, as if the animals were enjoying a lazy start. He had settled down in the grass, enjoying the crisp dewiness against his side, the creep of winter evident yet not overwhelming.

The moths were leaving now, a few still flexing their wings as they resting on his braids, one tickling his ear making it twich before they headed off to seek camouflage amongst the trees. Almost as soon as the last moth left him a small white winged butterfly floated to him, its wings soft and delicate as a flowers petal, it landed on his back, clinging to him as if he were the last rays of summer sunshine. It was always like this with him, as if the moths and butterflys were drawn to him. HIs sides were painted with fings, as if some great insect has landed on him and the wings melded to his sides. The pattern was vague enough that it couldent be pinned to either creature, the pattern not definite, but streaked along his body, mimicing patterns along his face. It was like that with all of his family, he though. He lounged some more, annoying the stillness of the morning when a glimmer of blue caught his eyes, his ears perching at the metalic sound of metal against metal.

The purple stallion hated ending the peacefulness of the morning, but he couldn't help the chains that were draped around his body. He sighed as the keys rattled amongst themselves and the lock stayed just out of their reach. If the keys went to this lock, the stallion wasn't too sure.

Papillon's blue eyes glanced towards his five friends. They had been together since he was stuck in that tiny basket. His parents didn't quite know why the butterflies were attracted to his basket. The viewed their son as a blessing. Papillon continued to follow the blue butterfly. It obviously knew where it wanted to go. His pace quickened as another butterfly rested on the roses in his mane and another in his tail. Suddenly, in the distance something caught his eye. A large soquili who had... wings? A quizzical look appeared on the stallion's maw as the butterfly grew closer and closer to the other stallion.
