Quote:
Okay I have a description, but I'm not putting it up right now.

Basically, Draeutia's last Queen has died, leaving her only Daughter, Lunette Delano as heir to the Draeutian throne. she is young, but wise beyond her years.

When you are posting, bear in mind.
-Draeutia is a mountainous land of continuous twilight.
-It is a matriarchal monarchy. Women have higher standing than men.
-If you have read stories about Faeries think of Draeutia as the Unseelie court of the demon world, full of carnal pleasures and forbidden delights

The rp will take place in the Palace, during the festivities celebrating Lunette's coronation which will take place the next day.

I don't think This is going to be extremely elegant, but it will serve its purpose for the time being. Which is to start t3h rp.

The Kingdom of Draeutia

Pronounced: Drow-tee-ah (Drow like the elves)

Nature/landscape: The Kingdom is in constant twilight, the sky a dark purple lit with multicolored flames (think the Aurora Borealis 24/7). The cities are lit by the light of the moon along with various light bearing crystals that line the roads and hang from street lamps. It is a mountainous kingdom, the capital city is ringed by the five tallest peaks in the land, all of which are inactive volcanoes that still belch soot and steam on occasion. The valleys are densely wooded, for harvesting the forests for timber is a crime punishable by Death. The inhabitants reside in castle like dwellings built out of colorful quartz, or in elaborate tree houses shaped out of the bellies of ancient silver oaks with magic. Their cities are one with nature, the cobblestone roads winding through ancient tree trunks that often rise hundreds of feet in the air, and are carved with runes for protection and health. Tiny bluebell like flowers grow in abundance throughout the kingdom and sing like bells when disturbed by motion.

The Palace where the Queen resides is situated in the center of an amazingly clear lake filled with tiny silver and cold fish that dart in and out of homes made out of colorful coral. There is always music, tinkling and faint echoing through the ground filled with cherry trees in constant bloom and breathtakingly beautiful gardens and fountains. The petals on the cherry trees are blue and purple instead of pink, and shower across the grounds with every slight breeze. The palace itself is enormous, and magnificent. Constructed entirely out of a pure white marble veined with gold. Fluted pillars, engraved with pictured of flowers and birds support it. The palace is always open, for the temperature is always warm and perfect, gauzy curtains provide its many inhabitants the privacy they require.

Basic Government: Draeutia is a matriarchal monarchy, ruled over by
their queen, the lady of the moon and her council of advisers, the five clan leaders. The crown is passed down from mother to daughter, but the queen need not marry. Although it is her sacred duty to provide her kingdom with an heir to the throne before her jewels darken for the third and final time, or declare another girl child of noble blood as her heir.

Lunette glided down the stairs effortlessly, White roses and silver maple leaves had been tastefully pinned into her long silver plait. Her pale skin literally gleamed in the light from the crystals hung around the main chamber where her new subjects had gathered. The celebrations had been going on all week, but now they had finally reached their peak. This gathering would last through the night until early tomorrow morning when she would be crowned the new queen of Draeutia. The years ahead of her seemed daunting, but she had no doubt in her abilities. Things would even out in time. Although, she mused, it would be interesting to see how her advisers planned to enforce the laws requiring her to bear a girl child before her last darkening ceremony, when she had no jewel to darken. Lunette was the enigma of her race. And that was how she liked it. Her pointed eye teeth glistened wetly as she smiled to herself. She reached the ground floor, her skirts whispered agreeably as she curtsied demurely for her court. She found it ridiculous, but it was no large matter. In a few hours, she would be named queen, and a queen curtsied for no one.

The music began again, hauntingly beautiful, as she moved foreword into the crowd.

(Ok well I'm not sure if it was confirmed if my characters could stay here but...screw it i haven't posted in a while because i got lost.)

Kalas search for Sinis came to a dead end. She wasn't sure how but Sinis managed to disappear from Draeutia. "To think that Sinis would just leave our homelands so quickly... He is going to get a Mind @#$# once I find him!" She thought to herself. With no clues as to where Sinis went, she decided that it could possibly be a good idea to seek help from the Overworld.(Currently I don't know where Sinis is. @_@)

Little did she know, the new queen of Draeutia was to be announced. To avoid any obstacles that may interfere with her Kalas took it upon herself to be the representative of her underground race. Even though her people always accepted the government on the land. The underground was different.The underground was land where the government did not and could not touch. Communication between the Overground and the Underground was rare and neither of them ever sent representatives to seek each othe for help or trade.

Kalas made it to the capital. Moving through the crowd was easy, simply because her race was hardly ever seen on the Overworld. Kalas found a nice spot in front row of the crowd blocking some people behind her. The Overground's music begun a joyful tune as the new Queen stepped forward.

(lol, Elda is my drifter character. She's only got one real goal; find Dios and beat him to death for leaving her with all his backed up paperwork.)

Elda, having not found Dios in Enthelda, had left and decided to head to the nearest event she felt might attract her truant ruler. The coronation of Lunette, new Queen of Drauetia, was the biggest event she had heard of in ages and was a prime location for the little b*****d to show up.

She mingled with the crowd, pausing to watch as the future Queen curtsied for the court. It was a bonus that Elda got to attend this event, she could attempt to make political ties between Rodasia and Drauetia stronger. With Dios lazing about for the decade since his coronation, ties with all the realms had fallen lax and Elda was going to take this opportunity to fix some of them.

Guen got tired of sitting at home reading her book, which she found to be boring despite what the summery said on the back. she walked outside to tend to Haseo, and overheard a drunk couple shouting something about a coronation in Drauetia.

She looked at Haseo and smiled, "Wanna go to a party?"

Haseo rolled his eyes and snorted, if you really think we should... After all we have no business there...

Guen sat on a bench and pouted, "Awww, come on! they've probably seen my art! i'm pretty popular, please?"

Haseo stamped his foot and snorted again, i dont think its such a good idea, but i'll be there for you if you need me...

She smiled and hugged her elk before running inside to prepare for the party.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Now in Drauetia~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Guen makes a rather quiet entrance, but is quickly noticed by the style of clothes she wore.
Tight pastel clothing with white fur trim.
it was common for the people on Aquious to wear fur, and light colors, so she had quickly given away where she was from. she didn't care; she was half their people, so if they attacked then i guess... she'd run outside hop on her elk and make a break for the gate.
she couldn't help but look around the crowd for her mother, although she had no clue what she looked like. she was thinking it would be amazingly odd to find her here, but would she try to kill her thinking it might affect her father?
She took a seat at a near-by bench and watched the people congradulate Lady Lunette, dance, drink, and converse about things she didnt understand. Soon she found her eyes wondering the castle looking for artwork; seeing if she was in any of them... but none such luck. she took a seat back at the bench with her arms crossed and pouted... but only slightly. she didnt want people to notice.
Damien waltzed into the ballroom with Dios and the rest of his traveling companions (there an in for people who need an excuse to be here). His long sable tresses pulled back into a tasteful horsetail with twin strands framing his face. His tailored suit was impeccable, with no trace of grime from his hasty travel. His mismatched orbs scanned the room with curiosity. He was surprised to notice Guen lurking off to one side of the room, looking absolutely stunning in her pastels, but also completely out of place compaired to the bright, gaily dressed members of Lunette's court. Speaking of whom, he glanced around once more, easily spotting the soon to be queen in the crowd. Her pale moonlike face, surrounded by a halo of white blonde curls. It was enough to leave even him breathless, despite the fact that no female had ever quickened his heart beats like Dios managed to do on a daily basis, and with little or no effort it seemed. Damien started back to reality when Dios gently pulled on his arm and realized that he was standing there, grinning like an idiot. Wonderful, just absolutely peachy. Lunette's perfect features has transformed into a mirthful grin as she shook the hand of yet another foreign dignitary. Her laugh, like a chorus of tiny bells echoed throughout his mind.
Damien pushed his way through the crowd until he stood before his patron queen. "My Lady," he greeted somberly. Her eyes danced with merriment, "Damien, my darling, how wonderful it is to see you!" she kissed each of his cheeks carefully. "I had begun to fear that you'd abandoned your own kingdom," Lunette pouted prettily as she gazed up into his eyes.
Guen got bored of sitting and walked out onto a balcony, "Gah, there's nothing to do here... i can't really congradulat Lady Lunette because she'd be like... 'ha ha... thank you! now... who are you?' And i doubt anyone is going to even think of talking to me considering what i am..."
Just relax and have fun, Lady
, Haseo grumbled, enjoy this night. who knows when you'll be around this many people again.
Lunette politely withdrew from Damien and his cohorts, and stepped out onto the balcony for a breath of perfume free air. This particular balcony looked out into her private gardens, she gazed at the flower beds and twisted trees with longing, her fingers itching rebelliously. Her beloved silver maple trees gleamed in the moonlight, their leaves making light dance across the surface of the crystalline pond. It was exquisite.
Lunette couldn't help but notice the oddly dressed woman leaning up against the railing. She seemed to be talking to herself... How strange.
It piqued her interest, even more so than the patchwork of colors and accents currently adorning her palace's great hall.
"Hello?" she called softly, "I don't mean to cause offense of course, but I was wondering where your from? I've never seen clothes like that before."
Guen jumped and spun around, "Oh, hi... i'm from Aquious... the Ice side, but my mother was from Draeutia... so i decided to finally come here." She peered into the dimly lit balcony to see none other than Lady Lunette addressing her, "Oh...OH! a thousand pardons Lady Lunette... i...er...ummm... i was just getting some fresh air. it's a...a beautiful view.. heh... if you'd like i could leave you be now... sorry..."
Guen scooted along the boarder of the Balcony so as to not get too close to Lunette. though She couldn't help but admire Lunette's beauty. she found vampires to be amazing, and had hopes of dating one, but never really got around to it.
She made her way to the Balcony door then struggled to open it... After a few more giggles she paused and turned to Lunette, Matching her paleness with a sickly green... "i think we're locked out..."
Lunette watched with thinly veiled amuzement at the woman's antics. "Aquious hm?" She pondered that for a moment, " That would explain a great many things I suppose."
She walked over to the door and gave it an experimental push, "How strange, I can't recall closing the door let alone locking it." She laughed softly, "Do you do much climbing in Aquious dear? I could try levitating us to the ground I suppose, but I can't guaruntee a safe landing. I can't recall the last time I fed and my magic stores are most likely running low. She ran one delicate hand over her unadorned collarbone, "It is sometimes very inconvenient to be jewelless..."
She was both amused and charmed by the woman's behavior, "I'm afraid I didn't catch your name?"
Guen grins stupidly and scratches the back of her head, "Heh, I'm Guen, and of course i climb a lot... i live in the mountains."
She looked over the edge of the balcony, "if you don't mind a bit of ice i could create a stairwell leading down to the ground..." she turned to face Lunette agian, "but i don't know how i'll get rid of it."
Kalas tried to speak to the new queen but, she kepting being obstructed by the hundred of people walking in the ballroom. She could have spoke to her with her mind but, she did not want to be rude towards the women. As the queen went to the upstaris balcony, Kalas decided to wait and went outside to the moonlit pond that sat still next to the castle and the maple trees.
Lunette smiled widely, her pearly eye teeth glinting wetly in the moonlight, "I think that would be absolutely marvelous! I'm sure it will melt on its own, and if not... Well it shall be a new and unique part of my palace." she glanced towards the sky critically, "The ceremony is to begin shortly, we should hurry, we can deal with the rest later."
Guen began chuckling, her laugh slowly grew into an all out belly laugh till she basically fell over on the floor gasping for air, "Oh...oh... i'm sorry but we both overlooked something... its... its quite funny.... he he, i have wings dear... i could just fly you down to your garden! wow... thats great..."
Lunette laughed along with Guen and held out her hand, "Well, shall we then? We really must hurry, it wouldn't due for me to miss my own coronation."
She thought she spotted a shadowed figure lounging near the pond and a small frown creased her angelic features. The guards should have prevented anyone from entering her private gardens, her subjects were too devious and whimsical to be trusted near her priceless maples and they tended to trample the flower beds during their frolicking.
She shook her head slightly, dislodging the blossoms that had lodged themselves in her silvery tresses during their constant fall. She had to admit the effect was breathtaking, but for someone who had lived in the constant downpour of flower petals, it grew quite bothersome.
