Halcyon gave a slight smirk as he stepped into the training room at the museum. He had it shifted about and mats put down, all the tables were shoved out of his way. He also looked over the file he got from Nara so that he knew what Luna's abilities were.
He sat down upon the floor as he set it aside. He meditated while waiting for Luna to arrive, "...Glowing...And the moons..." he was looking over lunar charts when he opened his eyes. It was night, well, the sun had set a little bit ago and the moon was already rising, a nice, brilliant full moon at that.

Luna kept muttering the room number to herself as she walked down the hall. She was lucky her mom let her come at this time, regardless of the restrictions, although the timing made sense. She looked at the nearby doors - she should be close by now... She found the room and knocked once before opening the door a crack and peeking in. Hopefully she wouldn't look like a Templar, all covered in a dark cloak as she was to try and hide her glow. "Erm... Hi?"

"Come on in Luna, I've been waiting for you." he stands up and stretches before he turns to face the door and Luna once she enteres, "Go ahead and take off your cloak, let's see how bright your glow is before we get started okay?" he smiles at her warmly.
He wasn't anything like the teacher that he had previously, no drill instructions.

Luna slipped inside, closing the door behind her. She pulled back the hood and lowered the mask, revealing her glowing face. She then opened the front and shrugged out of the cloak, draping it over one arm. She then stood there, tilting her head to one side as she regarded the charts while she waited to see how bright he decided her glow was.

Halcyon smiles as Luna enters and stands up, he actually had his shoes off but that didn't matter, just a habit he got into after a trip overseas, "Hello Luna, are you ready to start learning how to control your glowing?" his smile was nice and warm as he waited for her to respond.

Luna eyed Halcyon's bare feet, and after considering for a moment, kicked her shoes off as well before stripping her socks off, allowing her now bare feet to glow as well. "I've been ready, I've just never figured out how." She hesitated before adding, "I thought I had once, but it turned out that the moon was just waning at that point instead of me actually dimming my glow..." She dropped her cloak onto her shoes and walked further inside, looking around before coming to a stop before Halcyon. "Well... Where do we start?"

He smiles and sits down cross-legged style, "ever learn how to meditate Luna? Why don't we start there hmm? It's all about learning to focus the mind, with a focused mind you can do a lot, ignore pain, ignore hunger, work past emotions...Even control your powers."

Luna blinked before copying him, squirming for a bit with the cross-legged posistion before finding one that didn't make her legs hurt. "... I think I tried once or twice on my own... My family kept waking me up, though..." She wasn't certain she like the ignoring everything part - it sounded like you could die if you meditated for too long... Then again, you ignore everything in your sleep too, so that just confirms that meditating is a form of sleep.

He smiles a bit, "That's not meditating, that's sleeping...Meditation is meant to be done awake...where you just clear your mind but keep awake...um...like ninjas or monks..." he looks up and smiles, "Let's try this...I want you to think of nothing but...a lightbulb growing dim..."

Luna fought down a frown as Halcyon pointed out that meditating wasn't sleeping. "... Clear... my mind..?" She didn't think that was possible. She was always thinking of at least one thing if not another. She actually did frown in thought as she tried hard to think about a lightbulb growing dim.
For several seconds it seemed like nothing was happening, but for a split second, the glow surrounding her wavered, growing dim for just an instant before flashing bright then going normal as her head snapped back up and she opened her mouth, every thought in her mind spilling out. "There's only so dim a lightbulb can go dim before it goes out... and why do I want to think of a lightbulb growing dim? Don't they just blink out? How can you tell if you're meditating properly?" She shut up for a moment and rubbed at her temples, wincing. "Meditation hurts my head..." she grumbled to herself.

He smiles warmly at Luna, "Typically once you've begun meditating, you forget you are. Just like once you're asleep you don't realize it until you're awake again. But you did very well Luna, You did for a bit glow a bit less so hmm..."
He gets an idea and forms in his palm a small crystal Luna, "Here you are." just as she was sitting, "I want you to imagine that your glow is just as bright as the glow of this luna." he puts a small light inside and it begins to grow dim, until you could just barely see the light. To make it even more apparent, he turns the lights down in the room so that the glow of the crystal Luna is easier to see.

Luna's eyes were glued to the crystal version of herself. "..." She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them to slits, watching the crystal as she tried to think of her own glow like that.
The glow surrounding her stayed steady for several minutes before her eyes slid shut and it started to waver. Dimmer, brighter, dimmer, brighter. Each version was more extreme than the last. Soon, the bright steadied out but the dims got dimmer and longer until her glow was mostly dim with a few bursts of very bright at random intervals as she lost her train of thought and had to find it again. At one point, the dim glow lasted several minutes with only a little flicker towards the brighter end until she groaned, her glow getting brighter as it reverted to it's normal state.
She put her head in her hands, not bothering to open her eyes. "...Ow..." was the only thing she could manage right then. It felt like the room was spinning, flipping, and doing random reverses all at once.

He set down the glowing Luna statue before moving to rub her back, "That was excellent Luna, but let's take a break for a bit and let you rest okay? We don't want you pushing yourself too hard and hurting okay?"
He smiles warmly at her, "But we know what we need to do with practicing your power...Soon I am sure you'll be glowing only when you want to."

The first clue Luna had that Halcyon moved was the fact that her back was being rubbed. She knew she ought to move, complain, something... but... but... it felt so gooooood... She could feel her headache ease in small margins. She let out a low moan is response to his statement and rubbed harder at her temples. Break good. Bit late on the "don't push too hard" part.
The last part was enough to make her sit up straighter and twist to look behind her at Halcyon. "Really? You think so?" Her back started to complain of the new posistion. She settled back down and faced front so Halcyon didn't have more problems to rub out. She dearly wanted to be able to decide when she wanted to glow or not glow. Her mother was already nervous about her going out at night - it was worse when she could use the excuse that the Templars could find Luna easier then because of her glow. Luna hadn't managed to come up with a counter to that until now. "... You think I could also learn to glow brighter than normal if I need to? As well as learning to not glow, that is." She still remembered some of the other scroll kids she met telling about the good points of her skill. Glowing brighter than normal could help sometimes.

He laughs a bit and nods his head slightly, "I am sure you can glow as bright as the mid-day sun if you practice at it." he sits back and moves so that he's facing Luna, "So while you rest, why don't you tell me about your day, then we'll continue for a bit longer."
