OK. At first, this was some GIANT rumor but....... somehow it has been confirmed. The new Nintendo DSi! To start things off, the screens are larger than the DS Lite and it is also thinner. Some interesting features of the new DSi is that there are cameras in the front and in the back of the DSi so u can take pictures and send it to your friends. Also, there is going to be an Internet browser the DSi and a "Virtual Console". Meaning that u can transfer your Wii points to the DSi and purchase any handheld classic games (very cool feature). Another cool thing about this is that you can use your Mii from your Wii and also transfer it to your DSi (so there is SOME use for the Mii). The only thing I think that was a disappointment was that they removed the GBA slot. I think the menu screen has changed as well, but im not exactly sure yet. I will update this when new information has been released about the handheld console (and hopefully put up a picture). What do you guys think? I actualy see no reason for it having a camera, but I guess that would be neat, and I am always up for a media player.... you should post links in your first post...

It has a shorter battery life though, so that might put some people off. Plus, flash carts will probably not work. Jap release is first of November, although a us or uk release has no confirmed date, USA should be late 09 at $180

I heard about this. I personally wouldn't buy hey... they know there are going to be people who go for that sort of thing. I personally love my GBA game slot...even though I still have my SP.

It's pretty cool, but not really worth it. I have an old school DS, and not a DS lite, so I might end up getting it.
But you don't really need memory and two cameras. DS is for playing games, so it's not really worth it. Anyways, I use my PSP, phone, iPod, and laptop for storing other stuff.

Yeah, the DSi is like a pocket knife to someone living in an apartment building. Half the stuff is useless. Pretty cool, but unnecessary.

While I do like the DSi I think I may wait for the DSi XL which is a bigger version of the DSi, has a bigger stylus which looks more like a pen. It seems more like the size of the original DS only with a bigger screen. But Game Informer said there maybe some problems with older games since the resolution could be much higher on the XL, which means older games could look choppy. Plus I may not like to color options of the system.

Don't hate me for saying this but if I had a DS I'd prolly use it just for playing classic GBA games
