-History of Planet Earth-

Required for: School of Magic

Class Description
Students take a look at the geological development of the earth and how certain conditions influenced flows of mana or human ingenuity. Particularly studied is the Middle Ages, when all races but the humans fell into darkness. It is necessary to understand as much about the potential allies as possible.

Classroom Description
Various pictures of the world are posted on the sandy-colored walls of this circular room. Students bring their own Tablets here and sit on a very comfy carpet so they can face the walls. When not being used for a classroom it is a favorite group-study room.

***

Striding into the classroom, Nash didn't look his usual chipper self. With bags around his eyes and his usual rosy cheeks pale and sickly, he flopped onto the carpet quickly pulling out his tablet. Lately he had been eager to learn new things but as of late, his chipper personality had drained considerably. He'd been moving about with a brooding personality snapping at the littlest annoyance. Hopefully with class in session he could focus on his studies and drain some of his frustrations in the books.

Even as he looked at the walls he realized one simple fact. He didn't' know what he was doing. This had been one of the few classes he hadn't taken and required if he were going to learn anything close to magic. His meeting with Master Shinji had put his mind in a tailspin lately, wondering if this were the right course to take. Did he really want to learn magic? Or was this an excuse to chase his father? Sighing he pulled out his father's fob chain and watch realizing the thing didn't work but needing something to quail the jitters in his stomach. By now he ventured a look around the room wondering if there were anyone he knew attending.

Sasha really didn't want to come back here. Of all the places!! He almost had to crawl to the room since his legs were being so unreasonable. It had taken him days to muster the courage to come back and get his books he had left in there. Because of Wei! Ugh, even after all this time the heinous event still knotted his stomach.

But he needed his notes! That was kind of the whole point of school and if he didn't have them well... it would be inevitably bad. He just hoped they were still there. Oh gosh, what if Wei took them with him? And... was doing things to them?! No, he couldn't freak out right now. Gotta cool! Alexander really doubted Wei would just be sitting in there waiting for him.

Holding his breath, the little boy opened the door and peeked in.

Oh thank God.

"Hi, Nash!"

It took a moment for Nash to register his name being called but when he saw who it was a soft smile spread across his features. "Hello, Sasha. You have this class too?" He inquired relaxing a bit more now that a familiar face had entered the room.

He looked around noting the lack of students. There were a few sprinkled about but for the most part it was a quiet session. Sighing he nibbled on his pen looking to the walls then back to his tablet. "I uh.. need some help with this subject." He confessed hoping they could work together in sorting things out. Nash was a natural for learning but today was a slow day for him, he couldn't quite get his mind in working order for studying.

"... Weelll.... I've actually..." He was walking about aimlessly, his head bobbing from side to side and he could barely string together a competent sentence. He was too busy looking around the desks, under them and around the computers to find his notebook. "... Uhhmmm...." He squatted down where he had been that fateful day. "uhhh.... uh, I've actually taken this class before..."

Ugh! His books weren't here. Wei must have took them! Noo!! He bumped his head on the desk in defeat. What was he going to do? He didn't want to go see that kid. What if Wei kidnapped him and hid him in his room?! Ahhh!

Nash looked perplexed, Sasha seemed preoccupied with something else on his mind. Looking just as stunned he stood to his feet following skittishly behind Sasha before the boy knocked his head on the desk. Whincing, Nash came over holding a hand out toward Sasha with worry. "You okay? What's wrong?" It was obvious the other boy was looking for something but he couldn't tell. "Can I help?" Questions fired off he barely managed to soak in the fact that Sasha had taken the class.

"Huh.. but.. oh that's great then you can help me of course if you want." he quickly added toward the end looking around the room as well though he had no clue what the other student was looking for. Maybe some notes or books... it seemed likely thing to look for in a classroom.

He finally came back to reality and sighed. "I... left my books in here a few days ago, but they're gone. I think another student might have taken it..." Sasha got up under his own weight, bracing his hands on the table and pulling himself up.

"Oh well... I guess I can still help you! I don't.... remember much unfortunately..." Because he had been too preoccupied with worry over Wei and his dirty deeds! With a disgruntled huff, he took a seat beside Nash, resting his frowning face on a raised hand. "Shouldn't be too hard. It's just history really... Just names and dates and all that..."

Nash turned a curious brow to the boy wondering who would take his books without returning them. Rather than pry he turned back to his own books glaring madly at the various dates and names. Chewing on his pencil he turned to Sasha. "It's the History of Planet Earth, how am I suppose to know it's development..." He huffed. Sitting back on his hunches he looked around the room then back at Sasha. "Hey, why did you come to this school? I mean if you could choose to be here or not would you have come anyway?"

"Uhh well..." He knew why he had come to ShinKami, but he wasn't sure what he stayed for. Alexander combed through his hair anxiously, pulling his long purple strands over his face.

"I came because my brother came. But he had to leave back for Russia and... it's been hard all alone. I usually don't do things on my own. But... as hard as it's been adjusting here. I don't want to go back. After my dad died, we lived on government welfare and it just didn't go far enough for the three of us. My mom sent us to an orphanage and... it was just horrible. I like it here... And, I've started to really find a passion for magic so I have, you know, something to keep me afloat here. So..... yeah I like it here..."

"I see." He commented looking down at his book. He glanced over a few lines of text but didn't much comprehend what was being said. Looking back at the Russian he could understand how lonely it felt when someone you cared about left you but at least he had learned to cope with it. Nash didn't feel he was coping but more being delusional about it.

Shaking his head vigorously of those thoughts he smiled putting on a chipper mood. "I wouldn't go back either. There's nothing or no one to go back to so I have to make this work or all I have is a slow, lonely death awaiting me." He shrugged glancing at his book. "I'm curious about magic, not as passionate as you are but there's something driving me. It's just that I've been chasing ghosts for so long I'm not sure what I want anymore..." He looked up violet orbs seeking. "Hey what do you know about this invasion? I feel like the only one vaguely aware of it."

The door slid open with a loud bang as a person kicked it with their foot, hands obviously way to full to use since they were carrying several books in them as well as an apple, and behind the foot came the sandy-blond head that belonged to one Micajah Ackart.

"Oh hey, sorry for coming in so late. I had to get the books for this class as well as something to eat on the way, hope you don't mind."

It was like he was speaking more out loud than to anyone in specific, which was okay considering the books he held obscured most of his vision of the two boys save for maybe their feet. He had to have been able at least to see where he was walking and it looked like he followed the ground more than anythign else. How he'd found the classroom was amazing considering he'd never been to that room before and he had his arms full, not forgetting his poor sense of direction, and he set the books down on a nearby desk before he glanced to see who else was around.

"Oh. Oh! It's you! Both of you!"

"Well--" At the sound of the door opening, Sasha's eyes bugged in paranoia and dived to the floor. And it was then that he heard a young voice, he felt like a jackass, hiding under the table. Like it was really going to be Wei. Get a grip man!

"Uhh..." The young boy did his best to sit back in his seat with the last of his dignity. "Well.... There was an attack on Russia, but I am from the north by the arctic circle, they didn't bother us up there. We only heard about it over the radio...." Alexander dared to look up at the new student, remembering him from the Halloween party, who joined them. "H-Hi..." Oh God, this guys was going to think he's so weird!

Startled momentarily by the bang Nash looked to the door to see who it might be and was prepared to respond to Sasha but found him missing in classic anime fashion. "Uh..." Looking around he saw the student crawl from under the table trying to situation himself somewhat. Seriously what was he hiding from he seemed jumpy the whole time he had come into the class.

With their previous topic all but disrupted, Nash pushed it aside for that brief moment. Besides it was by this time he noticed the shock of blond hair and smiled standing to his feet to help the poor guy. "You really need to get a backpack or something." Nash informed. The familiar voice could only be Micajah but he couldn't be certain until he saw the boy's face from behind the stack of books.

Turning to Alexander he gave a lopsided grin. "Well to be honest nothing happened in our area either. Mostly some special reports on the TV but I wasn't allowed access to the TV, so I'm honestly in the dark about a lot." He shrugged taking his seat again.

He didn't say anything over the reaction of the two boys as he came in, noticing that Sasha was acting really weird - had he been that way during the fire? He didn't recall seeing him at the Halloween event, though maybe he had snuck in while Micajah had been busy being accosted by a cross-dressing Weiyuan.

"Eh? What are you two talking about? The invasions or something?"

Micajah was in unusually good mood, almost too happy for his usual calm and collected self, and he pulled a chair out to sit in before he pushed open one of his books. He'd walked into a conversation that he caught the tail end of and though he'd missed all of it he could still gather what it may have been on; hardly anyone could think of the earth and not think invasion.

"If it's about the invasions the only thing I remember is my father saying he was glad my mother wasn't around to see it, as well as us moving a lot as Father's work became a bit more demanding."

Sasha was glad neither boy said anything about his... oddities, though he was pretty sure they were silently judging him. Oh well. Sticks and stones.

"It cut off supplies to our village. We had to start eating some of our reindeer... Oh we uhh breed reindeer... yeah and... it was hard..." Sasha didn't really want to talk about it. He lowered his head and picked at his fingers with great focus.

The invasion was a very sore spot for a lot of the students at this school. While he didn't like it any more than the next person the only good thing from it was his coming here. Finally free from his mother's oppression. He shook his head clearing his thoughts as he looked up to the other two boys.

"Well enough of that topic then. I'll ask one of the instructors some time to fill me in. I feel kind of lost on it anyway, maybe better not to know the details." He shrugged leaning back in his chair as he tilted it further to balance on two legs. Placing his pencil on his top lip he tried balancing his weight and the pencil at the same time while talking. "Uh..Mica... you... looked nice... ah.. at the Hallo... no don't fall... stay...stay... Hallo... no... ween party?" He looked over in an awkward position. "Not used to guys... oooh... dressing as girls.. aww it fell." He pouted then continued "Well I wasn't used to the whole dressing up thing but an angel suits you." He smiled. "And your red death was really good, Sasha!"
