Lulua'line found herself in a pickle. She had lost her way from her family. Which, she really didn't care too much. Other then she had to get home somehow before they realized she was gone. She'd be in so much trouble if her mother had to come find her. Though, it'd most likely be her Uncle who found her first. He always found her before anyone else. But that was more then likely because he was like her, small and still a child. Most cubs thought the same, right?
Instead of panicing, Lulua decided to take this time in exploring a bit more before actually trying to smell her way back. Humming as she went. Haven't ran into anything dangerous before, she never really thought about staying quiet. She wasn't the quiet type, but she was the gentle type. She'd never intentionally hurt someone else. Of course, there were times where she did, but she always felt really bad after the fact.
The day was young, after all. Why waste it freaking out over stupid things that could be fixed later. The sun was out, and the day was pretty. A bit nippy out from autumn coming around the bend. Leaves falling, to where she could chase them, if there were many trees of course. Since there really wasn't, she instead chased the buggs and other small creatures. It seemed fun and helped with her hunting skills. Though she'd never really hurt them and let them go soon after she caught them. She'd never chance butterflies again. So easy to hurt. She accidently squished the last one she played with. Never again.

Vere moved under the big clump of trees, in a circle. It was one of the only areas with the tall plants that she knew of, and at this time of day, she liked to walk around and see the same thing every ten seconds.
She carefully zig-zagged her way through the falling leaves, cringing every time one touched or fell on her. She danced around those that had fallen, trying not to make that gods-awful crunch that the poor things made when crushed.
It was an awful feeling.
As she walked around, she kept a watch out for other lions. It hadn't been too long after her first other friend, and Vere was curious to see if there were others she could meet. After all, having more friends was never a bad thing.

It didn't take long before Lulua' noticed something red moving near. How strange. Being slightly curious she started move towards it. What could be red that moves? She knew that blood was red... could blood really move like some living creature? Nah, it was more like water and flows upon the ground. Her ears were straight forward, and her dark gray eyes watched carefully as she closed in.
She wasn't afraid of anything, or at least that's what she told herself. She was a bit frightened, but whatever the creature was it was her size, and possibly her age. "Hello?" She asked as she couldn't take it any longer. She had to know what, and who the other thing was. And hopefully it wasn't something that could eat her.

Vere jumped and skittered backwards, off her circular path, and stared at this new creature. What in the world...? She had never seen something like this before, ever in her life. And she knew that her family probably hadn't seen anything like this, either. This...animal had a long straight tail with no tuft of fur on the end like hers. And her ears were different. And her nose was different. And her paws were different.
Basically, the whole creature was different than Vere.
"Hello?" she repeated, blinking her wide blue eyes at the newcomer. "What, exactly, are you?" She stayed a fair, safe distance away. Just in case it decided that Vere looked yummy and wanted her as a snack instead of a conversation partner.

She raised a brow at the other. Wanting to laugh cause she cared the other creature. She just held it in for a question popped up instead. "I'm a leopard, silly!" How odd that the other creature hadn't a clue what she was. Everyone should know what she was. She was the best thing out there. Of course, she wasn't too egotistic. She just thought all leopards were great. Even half leopards. Lions were a close second though! "And you? What are you?" She asked curiously.

Vere blinked, quizzically tilting her head to one side. "Leopard?" she repeated with a tone of disbelief. "I've never seen a leopard before. I'm a lion!"
Everyone knew what a lion was, at least. How odd that this...leopard had no clue what she was. Though she couldn't really talk, if she didn't know what the other had been in the first place. Oh well.
"Where do you come from?"

A lion! Her aunt and uncles were half lion. She wondered if they'd look the same later on? Right now, they looked like leopards like she and her siblings did. "Well, yes. I'm a leopard. And you can't say you've never seen one, your looking straight at one." She reminded the other. She could have had fun and said she was a cheetah, but for all she knew, they looked just like lions.
"My aunt and uncles are half lions" she said as if it was something to be impressive. To her, it was. In a way. She never knew that some places looked down upon on hybrids, but she'd learn sooner or later. "I came from my mommies belly." she said with a giggle. "That's where all babies come from."

Vere giggled. "Now I've seen one. But before you I haven't. Why is your tail so long and skinny? There's no fur at the end!" She didn't mean to be rude, if it came off that way. Vere was genuinely interested in why the stranger looked so different.
"Half lions? So they're half leopard and half lion? That's strange. I've never heard of something like that before. Do they look more like leopards or lions?" Babies came from the mother's belly? She didn't know that.
"How can you be sure that you came from your mama's belly? I don't know about that. Mama never told us."

"My mommy told me it was because we need it to climb." She told the other with out finding the question rude in any way. "See, she told me that Lions don't climb, and that cheetahs don't either." she tried to explain. But she didn't know that cheetah's had similar tails, but where used for running rather then climbing.
"Yep! They look more like leopards though." She answered. "Momma said they might not look like leopards when they are older though." She nodded. Yi had told Lulua where she came from, so that's how she knew about mother's belly, but she didn't know the whole process of it.
"Yep! My aunt said that she would feel my momma's belly while I was in there. She said me and my siblings would kick from inside." She nodded. Her aunt told her a lot of things that most parents wouldn't want them to know. But Lulua never really understood them.

Climb? Like, trees? The only thing Vere had ever climbed was rocks.
"I've never gone climbing before." Which proved the fact that the leopard's mom told her that lions don't climb. "I don't think my claws are as big as yours." She unsheathed them and held them out for some comparison.
"I've never seen a half lion before. They may grow up to look more like me than you!"
"Wow. I wanna feel a belly with a cub inside!" Vere giggled at the thought. "Maybe when I'm older and I wanna have cubs, I'll be able to feel them kicking too."

Lulua did the same. Though, she was alot smaller then the lion cub that was in front of her. Though, she was bigger then her siblings. "I don't see how your's can't be bigger then mine, I'm tiny." She said looking at her claws to the others. Lulua's wheren't that long, but they were strong, and skiny and sharp. Strong enough to hold her up with no problem.
"That's what momma says. Apparently males get fluff around their head, where leopards we don't. We all pretty much look the same. Except females are always prettier and not as chunky, and stuff." She told the other. "Plus, dadda's got some head fluff, where momma doesn't."
"Maybe! I donno, I find it creepy to have someone else inside you!" she said honestly. She couldn't think about a baby wiggling in her belly. With that she gave a full body twitch as she shivered. It didn't seem fun at all. And her mom had seven in her belly. She must have been super fat!

"Nope, looks like yours are bigger." So that explained the claw marks she sometimes saw on trees. Vere had been wondering about those for a while, now.
She giggled. "Males don't get 'fluff,' " she explained. "It's called a mane. And they shake their heads a lot." She demonstrated with another giggle, shaking her head this way and that, pretending like she had a rather large mane herself. Like her dad's: his was really, really fluffy and poofy. When it got wet, it was all flattened on his other fur. But sometimes when it dried it would go out in a huge poofball. It made her and her siblings laugh.
"I want to have lots and lots of babies one day," Vere said proudly. "I want a big family that will live together and be happy. Though it is kind of weird to think that there's gonna be a little baby cub inside of me one day...probably more. Mama had lots of us." She eyed her stomach warily. "Don't get too big," she told it. "I don't wanna be fat. Mama said she was awful fat when she had us."

"well, it's fluffy, she said." She nodded. "And I only shake my head cause of flies that bug me, or if I get wet." she told The other, while listing to the other talk as well. It was easy to do, even if others thought it wasn't. "I want fluff around my neck though... It sounds like it'd be very soft." She told the other.
"Then you'd be like my mommy. I have five sisters, and one brother." She told the other. "Sometimes, she can't keep track of us all, which it makes it easy to go on adventures!" she said happily. "though I'd never run away, I love my family too much." She nodded at the other's comment. "Yeah, I'll never have babies inside me. Ewwie!" She said. "My aunt says the fatness goes away after the babies come."

She could see that. "It is fluffy!" Vere meant it as a compliment, of course. The only fluffy part on her body was her small amount of hair on her head and the tuft on the end of her own tail. And as fun as the latter was to play with--especially when it was someone else's tail, that kept flicking back and forth and it was just so inviting to go up and try to catch it--she thought it would be really cool to have a fluffy all over her tail. That would keep her nose really warm when it got cold outside.
Vere giggled. "You want to be a boy so you can have fluff around your neck?" She forgot that just moments ago she had corrected her new friend that said fluff was actually a 'mane.' It was easier to say fluff. And it was very easy talking and interacting with this girl. She liked Lulua a lot.
"I love my family, too," she added. "I don't ever want to leave them."

"No silly. I want to have fluff around my neck. Why would I want to be a nasty boy?" She said with a giggle. Boys had some type of disease. She just knew it. Though her brother didn't, but to her, he wasn't a boy. He was just her brother. Lulua'line had no fluff on her at all. Which to her, made her boring and stupid. But she was only a cub. "I mean, would you want to?" She asked.
Lulua' liked everyone, unless they gave her a reason for her to not like them. Though, everyone had a reason for the way they acted, so she didn't normally hold that against them. Unless they tried to kill her. "Family, my mom says, is the most important thing in anyone's life." She smiled. "Big or small." she nodded at the other. "Do you have a big family?" She asked. "I do. My family is huge. I got two uncles, an aunt, a mother a father, a grandma, and a brother, then five sisters." She told the other trying to remember if she missed someone.
