Rhea laid in the sun resting her eyes. She could never decide whether she liked the sun or not. On the one hand it was warm, on the other hand it was bright, and that made it hard to sleep when it was about.
She shook her head and yawned before sitting up and shaking the loose grass out of her fur. Around her were several palm trees which made soothing rustling noises in the wind. They weren't great for climbing, but they always managed to put her to sleep.
She yawned again and decided that she'd better start moving about befoe she fell asleep again...
Walking over to a nearby pool, she stared at her reflection. Reflection's had always puzzled her. She remembered someone saying once that they were almost exact, down to the minor detail that they were backwards. Or something like that. She hadn't been paying very much attention, she'd been sleeping at the time. Reaching down she dipped her paw into the water, sending out ripples across the surface and distorting her relfection. She smiled, although she'd never liked the water very much it had certain appeals to it, maybe that was from her Mother's side as opposed to her Father's.
Speaking of her Mother, hadn't she said something about meeting somewhere today? She put a paw to her head and tried to think, but couldn't put her finger on the details...

Maiya was curled up on the ground in their cave home, sleeping soundly. Her ear twitched and she slowley sat up before yawning and stretching out her arms. As she looked around, she counted to see if everyone was there. There was Vulcan, and Caeculus, and Nona, and Faunus... But where was Rhea? She felt like she was supposed to be remembering something, but shrugged it off and stood up to lasily walk towards the entrance of the cave.

Suddenly an overpowering sense of dread overcame her, she didn't know why, but she felt something was wrong. What if she was imagining things? What if she wasn't supposed to be out here on her own?
Looking around the sense of fear crept up her spine and made her shiver. Without a second thought she bounded back towards the cave, her eyes starting to tear up.

Maiya sheilded her tired eyes from the sun as she stepped into the entrance. She stretched some more before leaning on the entrance edge and looking out into the berry bushes. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she saw something red heading towards her. "Rhea?"

Blinded by tears, she bulleted directly into her mother's shins, falling over her head backwards, dazed.

Maiya covered her mouth with her hands and immediatly bent over to softly stroke Rhea's head. "Are you ok Rhea? What's wrong?" She asked concerned.

She groaned and swayed a little, flinching as she felt her mother put her hand to her head.
"My head hurts..."

Maiya looked at Rhea's hear concerned. "It does?" she asked before leaning down and giving her a small kiss on her head. "Better?"

Rhea sniffed again and wiped away a tear before nodding. She knew she shouldn't cry in front of her mother, she was a big girl now. She took a deep breath and looked up.
"..Weren't we supposed to meet somewhere?"

Maiya smiled softly at Rhea, trying to help cheer her up. That smile dissappeared at she realized that she had forgotten to meet up with Rhea! "I'm so sorry dear, I can't beleive mommy forgot! I promise I won't forget again, okay?" she asked as she stroked Rhea's head again.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed the attention, at least her mind was playing tricks on her after all.
"I's okay. At least we're here now." She looked up at her Mother and grinned.

Maiya looked down at her daughter and returned her smile. "That's right, we are here. Together. Is there anythign you would like to do with mommy?" she asked.

She put a paw to her chin and thought, what did she want to do? She couldn't say sleep because that would just make her look lazy, well, lazier than she already was.
"Uhm...how about a game of hide and seek?"

Maiya smiled and nodded. "Okay," she said before giving Rhea a quick tickle, "You better go hide quick before I get you!" She turned around and kept one eye open to make sure Rhea understood it was her turn to hide.

Rhea blinked, then realised she was it. "Oh...drat." She scampered off in an Easterly direction, calling back: "You'd better have both eyes closed now!"
