What was the reason for closing the Captains Guild in the first place?? Did they give a reason?? I don`t remember reading one!!!!!!! sweatdrop confused

the guild.
~ Members who werent in the captains guild thought it was unfair that
there were information they couldnt access.
~ They couldnt find any reason to keep it up.

yes but I think it was a Captains Guild member who actually said this, not a Mod or member of Gaia staff, so they indeed never gave a good reason for closing it. neutral

It was unfair because they never gave a real reason for closing it, they just said that they were going to close it, Not why, and only the members speculated about why. They could have at least locked the whole Guild so people could look at the information at least, even if they couldn`t post in it. And for those who say that people started protesting because Only Captains and Vice-Captains could see the info, the Mods should have been the ones to tell us, or the Gaia staff, not Captains Guild members, who only speculated on the subject, and that it is why it was called Captains Guild in the first place!!!!!!!!

Not many guilds have a reason why they close.
Is sad but true.
usually the reason is only known to the owner.

Anywho, do you really think it would be any different if people did know?
They would still shout 'bull sh*t' and people like me would still get bored
and petition it... The fact is that there was no stopping it from happening.

The CG was the only guild that the Gaian Administrators created as an information gathering and instructional guild to begin with. So, when it got to be more of a chat guild, the purpose was defeated. This guild is here to inform, collect information and to have fun. Since Gaian Administrators did not create this guild, Guild Crews did, we will not be closed down.
Any and all concerns, questions you would have posted in the Captain's guild will now be available here, and since we went private and not hidden, we are viewable by everyone. You just have to be a member to post, and if you are crew anywhere- you are automatically approved for admission here.
