Metallic waters came up with and idea for novices and accepted to move up does anyone have ideas for them, (or an idea other than quests?)

I'm not sure what the one deciding factor should be - but I think it should involve a lot of roleplaying over time, and then roleplaying the test/quiz/quest/whatever we decide.

I like Pynk's idea. Roleplaying enough to move up is important. Roleplaying the actual test/quiz/quest would let everyone know that the person moved up. I think there should also be something for warders-in-training.

I like the move up as you roleplay more idea. We should figure out a system for it though.

One idea - after a novice or accepted has been roleplaying their regular studies and routines for a while, one of the sisters just message her and tell her it's time for her test.
THEN the test is roleplayed with a sister (or more than one). Once the test is RP'ed through, they pass.
But I still don't know how to do the task. I mean, we could just roleplay it like it is in the books - but that seems too cheesy.

Well, If it's how they do it in the books... At least they tell us in detail how a Novice becomes and Accepted, I think it would be odd not to use the Three arches and such for that..

I think that the tests should be accurate, with the three arches. But what is inside should be carefully thought out and rped by the accepted. That would be part of the test IRL: If they rp what is inside as vividly as it should be portrayed.

True...but some people are more creative than others...maybe it should be a minor part of the test?

As for testing for the women, there are both detailed explanations of becoming Accepted and Aes Sedai, if you have read New Spring anyway...
Along the lines of RPing, shouldn't they have to show skill in doing so to be able to advance? Makes sense to me...
And does anyone have any ideas regarding the little people? AKA Warders in training...

From what I gathered in the books, warders were more or less chosen for their skill. When they learned how to fight better, they were placed in higher demand. I don't know how that would pan out on here though...

I've noticed that for the amount of warders listed, very few actually show up... Anywho, one is here... I'm not sure what system could be implimented really... Like I said, they were chosen for their skill. There could be a grading of improvement, such as the tactics used in a combative test? No....Argh....

Exactly. So then who would be the one to test Warders to be? I personally only would like two things: Skill in RP, and decent grammar.
As for the Novice and Accepted Training, I like the idea of having the arches and such. Why not use them, if you proclaim to be the White Tower? I am pretty sure we can all come together and give enough details of both tests to make it doable...

Well....the only very active Warders are Lathanam, Hawk, and Wolf. Maybe we should ask them, seeing as it would be under their power?
Yes, the arches are a good idea. If you haven't read New Spring and we go through with the testing, I'll post a description of the testing to become Aes Sedai.
