This is for anyone to discuss the happenings of the UAW Ford 500 as they happen, live, if anyone's here.

It's on now, woohoo! 4 wide into turn 1!

Mikey is okay. Junior seems to be out. Sadler and Johnson had initial contact. Nowhere for the rest to go.

Lol! Mikey really had some humor biggrin

"First my world was right, then it was wrong, then it was right, then wrong, then right, and then I saw the Aaron's Dream Machine slide by, and I was thinking to myself, is this a nightmare?"

Awwww, hate it happened, but Mikey always cracks me up.

Mark Martin had some unusually outspoken comments about the restrictor plate situation.

There was some question about whether or not Junior pushed the 48 into the 38. Further review shows Sadler was already starting to turn when Junior hit Johnson.

Restart lap 28: Matt Kenseth leading.

Really good fight for the lead right now between Kenseth and Stewart.

Caution #2: Johnson blows tire.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2005 12:28 pm

Johnson's left rear fender all over the track, Mark Martin's retired for the race.

Restart: lap 38, Kurt Busch leads.

Not sure what the official standings are but I'd guess if the race ended now, Rusty Wallace would be leading the points.

Amazing eek

Johnson's car is still making speed with no left rear quarterpanel, there has to be a bunch of disturbed air hitting the back of the car, that has to be like a parachute, but he's still at speed.

Mayfield maybe just played too much strategy and dropped back too much. He's losing the draft now.

Man I hate jimmie Johson. I hope Matt Kenseth wins this race.

Mike Bliss blows tire in turn 2, spins and collects Jeff Green and a bunch had to take evasive maneuvers.
