Aderes stalked the shadows, never moving into light more than a few seconds. She watched her daughter, a pitiful excuse for a soquili, unworthy of the blood that ran through her veins. Sadiki had done a good job protecting her as she grew, but now as Aderes gazed she was all alone, unguarded; easy prey. Aderes' promise to the male that aided her could not be broken, she was more honorable than that and thus his flesh would never make a meal for her, but she had made no promises about their children. They were little more than an accident, her daughter and her son, and though they had potential to be great, to wreak havoc upon the world, to make their mother proud, their hearts were weighed down with the petty sentiments of the good.
Aderes looked to the night sky, a deep growl ushered forth from her throat. Her daughter had had the nerve to breed. Aderes should have killed her long ago and been rid of this problem. Now her blood would pass on to ever weaker beings; she would have to kill them all...
She turned back to her daughter, curled around three baskets nervously. At least she wasn't entirely stupid, she knew danger lurked. No sign or scent of her son or Sadiki lingered around, they were gone. Now was the time to end what she had mistakenly let live oh so long ago. She chuckled to herself as she stepped from the shadows into the moonlight, heading straight towards her daughter as she thought of how to kill the four soquili before her.
'This'll be too easy...'
