The Past It had been a sense of fate the day Serenity met Stripes or at least that was the way that she thought of it. She never really thought about how their owners could have placed them in the same area of the park on the same day. Then again she found that area of the park from flying about. Neither really expected to find someone that they got along with the way they seemed to click. Spending the remainder of the day in the park playing a game of chase and swimming in the cove. Days passed by and they would find each other in the fields where they would frolic and play until the day would fade again. This was the way things went on for a few weeks, and then crushes developed into something more as things tend to do at times... Some time later Serenity and Stripes found themselves parents of two lovely pups.

Serenity had Sander in her maw as she flew through the meadows as she headed towards the Storytellers tree by the meadows. Landing on the ground she set Sander the bouncing ball of fluff down on the ground. As soon as Sander was set down on the ground he started bouncing about, "mommy! When is daddy and Sadie going to come!" He said bounding around the clearing and around the tree looking for his father and sister.

Stripes lead the way towards the tree, smiling at the pup that was hopping around his paw. He didn't expect to be a father, but he was immensely happy, glad his dad was helping him as well as Reign being a doting grandmother.Sadie ran circles around her daddy, quite happy to be out and about. She tried convincing her much, much larger grandma to come out with her, but she had said she was going to go visit with her granddad and would see her again when she came back home.

"I'm sure they're on their way Sander sweetie." Serenity said laughing at the dark bouncing ball. She leaned down and nuzzled him when he bounced over to her and then went and laid down at the base of the tree.
Sander giggled and nuzzled his mother back. He then went bounding into the long grass of the meadow looking for Sadie and daddy. After traveling a little ways he turned back and bounded back into the clearing so Serenity wouldn't panic. Seeing that Serenity had closed her eyes a bit he grinned and then snuck up towards her tail wagging behind him as he pounced at her wagging tail, "rawr!"

Stripes finally pushed his way through the brush and held a few branchs out of the way for Sadie so she wouldn't get hit by them. Letting her pass by him, he followed after the pup and shook some leaves from his fur, looking about to see if he could spot Serenity and his son.
Sadie bounded through the tall grass, calling out 'Mama!' and 'Sander!' over and over, hoping one of them would answer her.

Serenity laughed when her tail was suddenly pounced upon and opened her eyes. In a fairly quick movement she turned her head and grabbed Sander before he could get away. "Time for your bath," she said to him as he started to struggle to get away wanting to play.
Sander was in giggle fits as he pounced on Serenity's tail and when she suddenly grabbed him he knew what that meant. "Awww moooommmm!" He said struggling to get away even though he knew it was pointless. Hearing Sadie's voice his ears pirked up and he cheerfully called back, "Sadie! Sadie, by the big tree!" He then began to struggle more wanting to go play with his sister.

Stripes flicked his ears when he heard Sander call out to his sister and he chuckled, going towards the place he heard him at the same pace he was going, letting Sadie go greet them first.
Sadie turned and almost toppled over, but she got her balance back and bounded toward where she heard her brother calling for her.

When Sander started calling out to his sister and father Serenity let her son go.
As soon as he was free he darted off calling behind him, "come on momma!" He then darted in the direction of Sadie and Stripes calling out, "Sadie! Daddy! Sadie! Sadie!"
Serenity got up as soon as Sander was free and followed after him into the meadow making sure he didn't get out of her sight.

Sadie giggled as she ran faster and picked up more speed, a little something she gained from her grandma, but ended up tripping and rolling a little bit. She rolled to a stop, but felt herself being picked up gently by the scruff and then set back down on her feet. She smiled up at her daddy, wagging her tail.
Stripes watched his daughter, seeing her start to move faster, something he knew that had been passed down from her speedy grandmother, but he ran to her when she tripped and rolled. He picked her up and set her right, licking the top of her head and nudging her to go to her mother and brother.

Serenity soon spotted Stripes and Sadie a small second before Sander saw his sister. At seeing her daughter and Stripes Serenity's face lit up as she smiled at the two of them.
At spotting his sister and his father he became even more hyper and louder, "SADIE! DADDY!!!" He then picked up his pace and pounced and tackled his sister in greeting all while giggling happily.

"Sander, Mama!!" Sadie cried out happily and she giggled when she was pounced upon, rolling with her brother in the grass.
Stripes stopped walking for a moment when the two pups finally pounced on each other and he smiled at them and at Serenity.

Serenity couldn't help but laugh light heartedly at seeing the two of her children greeting and playing with one another. She remembered a time when she would pounce at Stripes in greeting and couldn't help but smirk at the fact that it would make Sander and Sadie giggle. So without much thought she bounded in Stripes direction and pounced into the air tackling Stripes much like their children had just done to eachother.
Sander giggled at his sister and nibbled on her ears. Seeing Serenity go and pounce their daddy sent him into more giggle fits where he went rolling from Sadie rolling about with giggles.

Stripes yelped a bit when he was suddenly pounced on, but he chuckled, "Hello to you too Serenity!" he said, rolling out from under her.
Sadie nibbled on her brothers ears and then made her way from out under him, shaking her fur out and then running around.

Getting up off the ground she grinned at Stripes, "Good day Stripes." She said and then nuzzled under his chin in a more proper greeting.
When he finally got his giggles under control Sander got up off the ground and bounded over to his parents. Standing on his back paws he put his front on Stripes shoulders, "hi daddy!!"

Stripes nuzzled the top of her, but smiled down at his son when he came over. He licked the top of his head, chuckling, "Hey squirt! Have you been taking care of your mother?" he asked.
Sadie ran over and stopped by her other, nuzzling one of her legs in greeting, tail wagging about happily.
