After walking for so long, Mzimu's paws ached tremendously. At the same time though, his heart was lifted, as he now knew he was home. Zizima, his great friend from the ocean, had guided him all this way, right up until the point that Mzimu felt he could continue on his own.

Despite his age, there were a fair few scents that he recognised from when he was a cub. They were to be his guide now, and he would follow them until he hopefully found a member of the Ela'wadiyi Pride. He was sure that the Pride had survived, even if it was only a few lions strong now. He was positive that they will have lingered. All he had to do was move around these lands until either he found them, or they found him.

Tawa'di's eyes caught sight of movement. It didn't alarm him too much, until he had seen the colour. A very dark colour. Intrigued, the old lion slowly made his way towards the struggling form. He let his mind toss around ideas of who it could be. Someone he knew? Or was this another lost soul looking for a resting place before moving on?

Slowly his paws carried him towards the other. Once he had gotten close enough, he froze. Now, Tawa'di couldn't know everyone from their old lands, or the old blood, but he was very familiar with the shapes that most Ela'wadiyi grew into. Body shape, mane shape...and everything was alerting him.

"An Ela'wadiyi," he said, startled.

Mzimu's ears rolled forward as they heard a voice not too far from where he was walking. He slowly came to a stop and sniffed the air in order to confirm from what direction the voice may have come from. Once he was sure in which direction to walk, he took a few steps forward before stopping once again.

"Greetings. I am Mzimu, formerly of the Wolf Clan." Mzimu bowed his head deeply, as he was still unsure who he was addressing. His voice was rather loud, just incase he wasn't as close to the owner of the voice as he had thought. "I was forced to leave the Pride when the plague reached our lands. Due to my...'condition', I was unable to find my way back." The old lion didn't like refering to his blindness as a disability, even though that's what it felt like at times.

"Only now in my old age have I found the courage to make the journey back to these lands, with the help of a friend." Mzimu smiled briefly as he thought about Zizima. He couldn't have made it all this way without him. Now, he would wait to hear what the owner of the voice had to say in return.

Tawa'di's mind filtered through what he could remember, but he couldn't gain much. He hadn't known too many others outside of his old clan. And as he had become the sole survivor of his clan, he had come to these new lands not knowing very many.

"Welcome," he said warmly, a small smile on his face. "I'll admit, the few that have found their way home have been younger than you, old friend." His tail twitched in humor, but Tawa'di didn't think he'd be able to see it.

"It's a pleasure to know that you've found your home again, Mzimu." He offered a bow to the old lion, feeling a bit kindred with him. After Us'kali passed on, their wasn't any of his generation left.

Mzimu chuckled. "I can imagine." The old lion felt very relieved to have been found so soon after entering the Lands. He was sure now that everything was going to be alright. "Thank you very much. It's truely a pleasure and an honour to be here once again."

As well as the relief of actually being found, Mzimu was also very relieved that someone was indeed here. Although he was sure in his heart that the Pride will have lived on, there was no way of proving it until now. "I'm so glad that you are here. Please tell me, how many Ela'wadiyi are there now?"

The old lion chuckled. "There is no need to feel that. Just let your mind relax as you've returned to where you belong." It was comforting to feel that he wasn't the only old one within the pride. It was...odd being the oldest, as he never viewed himself as such until the pride needed him to be an elder to them all.

Tawa'di nodded before he continued. "The pride as flourished after the migration. We were in a dire situation for the few moons after, when there was only a pawful of us. A few more stragglers found themselves back home, and others had found friends and mates on their journey. With that, we have many young paws running over our new homelands, and with that there is much hope in the next generation when ours burns out." His tail swished behind him as he thought silently about that. Home. Age. It was a bittersweet revelation to himself.

Mzimu allowed himself to let out a content sigh. For the first time in ages, he felt truely at peace. Although living by the sea had always made him feel good, this was something completely different. It was as if he had lived the majority of his life with a missing piece, and now that he was here, he was finally whole.

As the mystery Ela'wadiyi went on, Mzimu listened very carefully. He looked solemn at the mention of there being just a pawful of Ela'wadiyi left, but was soon cheered up at the mention of younglings. "That's wonderful news." He too knew that he probably didn't have much time left, but at least now he knew that the Ela'wadiyi had a bright future.

"Thank you for telling me all this..." He trailed off as he realised that the other lion had not introduced himself. "Forgive me, but what is your name?" As he waited for the answer, he wondered if he would recognise the name.

"Ah!" Tawa'di looked startled for a moment. He couldn't believe that he didn't do that. Normally he would have, but there were times when his mind slipped the most simple of things, and this just had to be one of those times. He slightly shook his head, apologizing for the rudeness.

"I am sorry," he started slowly. "I'm Tawa'di Kanati, nvwati to the Bird clan for many, many moons." It felt almost like too many, though he knew he still needed to be around for a few more yet.

"It is a pleasure to see you again, old friend." He offered a slight bow. "Do you know if you would like to return to your old clan? I fear there is not many original members left. Asa'nunu Waya's daughter, Tsi'hilu Waya resides as the alu'nadi, and she has quite the littler of children," he added with a chuckle. It was always amusing to see the young grow up and have their own young.

A nvwati? Mzimu felt so lucky to have bumped into such an important member of the pride. "It is an honor to meet you Tawa'di Kanati." The old lion bowed his head in respect. When he lifted it, he nodded thoughtfully. "I would like nothing more than to return to the Wolf Clan, if that is at all possible."

He didn't recognise the surname Waya, but he was very pleased regardless that the Wolf Clan was still going strong. There would even be the pitter-patter of tiny paws running around, which would certainly be a welcome sound to Mzimu's ears. "I look forward to meeting Tsi'hilu Waya and her family."

Tawa'di tapped his paw on the ground for a moment, smiling. "It should be more than possible," he offered as reassurance. "I am sure they would love the hear your travels outside of our homelands. Especially the little ones." He chuckled. "They seem to have endless amounts of energy."

He shifted his weight, his tail brushing against the ground as he stood up. "I would love to guide you to their clan. It may take a day or so, as I'm not completely sure of their location, but with some assitance we should get there within due time."

Mzimu smiled, and once again bowed his head in gratitude. Not only had he managed to return to his homelands, but he was going to be able to rejoin the very Clan he was born into. Things couldn't have gone any better. The old lion chuckled at the mention of cubs. "I must admit, I haven't been around ones so young in a very long time. I think I will be learning from them as much as they learn from me."

When Mzimu heard that Tawa'di had stood up, he did the same. The last leg of the journey would probably be the toughest due to his current condition, but he felt a re-newed energy from just being in these lands. "Thank you Tawa'di Kanati, I am truely grateful." With that, the old male took a few steps in the direction of Tawa'di's voice, as that he may join him at his side. Soon enough they would be in the territory of the Wolf Clan, and Mzimu couldn't wait.
