AIM RP BETWEEN CHURA'SHAIRI (UME) & KIMBIZI (KATE)

It'd been a while since Kimbizi had been anywhere near the borders. Lately, for some reason unknown to him, he'd been spending more and more time near the center of the Pridelands, where there was always activity and plenty of lions for him to show off in front of. For a male like Zizi, though, it was difficult to never get any alone time. Having been raised as one of eight, he knew the value of a few silent moments to think. So there he was, wandering around the edge of his home, his groomed-to-perfection fluffy mane wafting in the breeze like something out of a shampoo commercial.
He liked it out here. It was quiet, peaceful, slow-paced. He could almost stop himself from his cocky strut and completely relax. Almost. He still had a bounce in his step, of course, it was just the way he was. He'd lost some of his boyhood naivity and had learned he wasn't exactly the hottest lion around, but he still considered himself to be pretty darned handsome and he still considered himself to be something special. It was arrogance, yes, but not quite as in-your-face as it could've been. More like a quiet pride that dictated the way he behaved and held himself and what he said. So, even out here, he was still performing. But man, was it peaceful.

Chura'shairi was not the most dependable lioness out there. As a matter of fact, she was quite the opposite. Sometimes, even she found it quite remarkable that she managed to survive on her own for this long. Sometimes it was as though she could not even walk, the way she physically and verbally tripped over herself. She was a bit of a princess in that manner, always needing someone to take care of her. But she was still a sweet girl, not proud or arrogant. She was caring but not very helpful.
Chura took careful calculated steps afraid that at any moment she might trip. But it gave the appearance that she was walking gracefully and elegant as though she presumed to have airs. And as it was, she was lost, stuck with a horrible sense of direction. As luck would have it, she spotted the blue lion who was not that far from her. Thank goodness she was not completely doomed. "Hello," she called trying to sound cheerful although she was a while away still. Hopefully if he heard her, he wouldn't go away. She tried to walk a little faster, her steps becoming firm and a little more like marching to help prevent her from tripping.

Zizi's mind had drifted off into itself while he was parading on, and he didn't have the accute rogue awareness that his mother had. (Ha, okay, so maybe his mom wasn't completely aware, but she was certainly more aware of in tune with her surroundings than Zi ever was.) He was thinking about how life must be outside of the Pridelands. He wondered if it was always this peaceful, but the thought flitted away as fast as it came. Life for a lion without a pride at his back must be difficult. There could never be any guaruntee that one would eat dinner at night, and certainly less social interaction. Zizi liked his alone time, but he was also raised to have a deep respect for strong family bonds, and though he was quick to be annoyed by his many, many siblings, he couldn't help but love them more than he could put into words. They were, after all, his family.
The cheerful call almost made him think his own mom was trailing behind him somewhere, but he knew that wasn't true. It was her tone, almost, but not her voice. He turned towards the chipper sound, bright blue ears swiveling to try to catch the sound of feet. He was taken aback slightly by the pink lioness strutting her way towards him. He'd never seen such a bright color before, outside of his own family. "Hello... ," he called back somewhat cautiously.

Chura relaxed when he called back even if somewhat cautiously. She let her feet touch the ground and walk normally out of just simply forgetting to be careful. In truth, she wasn't that clumsy, she was just under the impression that she was hopelessly so. She tried to hurry in case he would get tired of waiting and leave, stumbling along the way but managing to catch herself. Soon she found herself at a social distance. "Is there... is there a pride near here?" she asked nearly out of breath while at the same time, trying to pretend that she was perfectly perfect, that nothing was wrong with her. She noticed that while her white coat was in good condition, his bright blue one was in a far better condition which made her feel inferior if at least for a minute. She was under the impression that males, even the gentlemen, were never that well put-together.

He cocked a brow, watching the poor girl parade her way down to him with mild interest. A smirk started to play at his lips, but he tried his best not to let it fully take over his expression. After all, that'd simply be rude, and rudeness wasn't very attractive when meeting a stranger. Of course, he made an effort to never be rude, but sometimes it just seemed like a sarcastic comment was completely neccessary. It didn't come out much with strangers, though. He really did believe in respect for those who deserved it, and it was hard to judge who deserved it without really meeting someone. Plus, she really was nice to look at, a trait Zi couldn't help but admire. So, at least for now, she deserved respect. And no smirk.

When she was close enough to speak, Zi nodded his head slightly in greeting. "Actually... you're here already. Welcome to the Pridelands." He motioned his head to the side, where if you were looking, you could see the massive rock that was the symbol of his homelands.
