Where was he...oh! Where could he have gone?! It wasn't good, being alone, but now he was and...he shivered, hunkering down in the grass. "B-Brother!" The serval, full grown but no less timid than even the newest born kit, had been split from his dearest most beloved Brother, and now...oh, he was so alone! What if a lion came and ATE him??
Alas, the poor dear really was hopeless. He'd not left his Brother's side since the day they were born, and had never really learned how to cope with being alone. Surely the other male would wander back in a moment or two, but until then poor Korrin was no better than a wobbling pile of goo in the grass, only good for whimpering and praying.
Oh Boma. Oh dear, dear lovely Boma. Every time he wasn't paying attention, she would turn to steal a quick glance at him. The two had been friends forever, but for Cecil friends was the wrong word. She felt like there was something more, that there should be something more. 'Oh Boma...' she thought to herself. Maybe it was silly to think they could ever be anything more, but every time she looked at him...her heart seemed to shatter. Fall out of her chest, and melt at her feet. Of course, dinner was different for the two, and it was the time of day when Boma would go off to catch his evenings meal. Cecil usually hunted while they traveled, but for the green lion they usually had to make a stop.
"Be back before sunset, and don't get into a fight! Don't get hurt when you're hunting, either..." She trailed off, her worried words coming out in a rush.
'I will...' She heard Boma mumble, too concerned with the scent of a passing zebra to hear Cecil whisper,
"I'll wait for you to get back...I'll wait here forever for you..." Her words were in vein, just recently he had met a female. Normally, this was not a big deal. Cecil would just agitate Boma until he scared the girl off with his anger. But this time, he had just been entranced with her. They locked eyes, staring at one another for a long time. She growled at the thought.
