It was a slightly foggy day in the Wisp area of Darmia, but fog didn't bother Squirt. To be fair, there was little that did: he was a happy-go-lucky sort of fellow, always looking for fun and finding it wherever he went.
He especially felt at home when he was around water, and that was why he was laying flat on his back next to the river, hands behind his head like a pillow, simply relaxing. He loved relaxing nearly as much as he loved goofing off - which was saying something.

Star Ocean. Like her name- she was born in the ocean. A beautiful place where- that the moon seemed to always hit.. and thus became her. Not like others- she never wrinkled when she stayed in the water for too long.. Her fur just merely became more slick and softer. She had just came down from the city in the clouds.. Where most of her friends were- The group of stargazers that praised wisp for all its loving skies..
She didn't like to be in the clouds when the sun was out- too close.. would make her fade away- and she decided. Lower to the ground was her best option in the day time..
But Star Ocean, wasn't always up to the task to be around so many.. So. From that. She looked down at her favorite spot.. and what star gazers could do-- was inspired by shooting stars. Watching over her favorite spot.. she jumped down from her cloud, and like a shooting star- she sparkled and rushed down and promptly fell in to the water where the moon met her birth place. A wave was sent up by gravity as the sparkle suddenly faded and the ripples in the water crashed on to the banks.

Squirt had just about been asleep when suddenly there was a loud splash almost right next to him and a wave of water spilled over him, soaking him from head to toe. He bolted upright and gasped for air, his eyes wide with surprise. What was going on?
He shook his head violently, sending water spraying everywhere, then looked around to see what had happened. The fog wasn't as thick as it had been earlier, but it was still difficult to see very far - but the river, which was right next to the happy-go-lucky katorai, was easy to see, and he could see that there was someone in it.
Well, he loved the water - and he wanted to meet some new friends ... he grinned and jumped into the water next to the katorai, hoping that he wasn't going to be scaring it.
"Dude!" he grinned as he drew near, ghostly pale and almost seeming to glow a pale blue in the foggy light. "Awesome wave!"

Star Ocean took a gasp of hair as she threw her head up and began to float. Thinking that she wouldn't have company- but deadly wrong. She turned quickly in reflex and moved away a bit. Defensive and would attack if he had- but then his words didn't match up to her thoughts of threats. "Who are you and what are you doing here." She said with a soft but stern voice.
Wave? She looked about as noticed it herself. The rippling of when she fell..
"Whats ~ 'dude' ?" Blinks curiously.. but still on her guard. The sparkling night had danced around in her fur.. Making it wave in the air.

Squirt laughed and flicked some water at the katorai with his thumb and forefinger.
"Name's Squirt," he grinned with a mock salute. "Champion swimmer, surfer, and goofball. As for what I'm doin' here ..."
He ran his fingers through the long fur on the top of his head, making it stick up in a way that he liked to consider 'cool'.
"Juuuust chillin'."
Then he folded his arms across his chest in a completely relaxed manner and grinned at the katorai in a lopsided manner. "Dude ... just a way of saying ... person, I guess ... or 'hey you' when I don't know your name." He laughed again. "Chill out, dude, you're so stiff! Chillax, enjoy the water!"

She watched him a moment before she saw the aura. "Undine." She calmed just a lil more than before. "hmph. Champion swimmer~" Mocking a little bit..
"I have a name- 'Squirt'." She let out a little growl. "And its not stiff- and neither can YOU call me any of the sort. Im Star Ocean." She tossed her head a little and slipped through the water to sit on a rock that was below the water's surface.
"Hey you' Something we don't use to greet others..." She let out a growl and shook a bit.. Letting the water course through her system. "I would have relaxed just fine without someone like you. 'Dude'." She leaned forward a lil to look at the male. He was so bright- almost like he glowed.. and his hair was rather odd looking to her. Was he suppose to look like that? Heh.
'Undine- must have had a feild day~' She thought to herself.'. But I dont want to cause a war.. hmm.. kinder.. kinder.. but he is in my WATER D< ' Saying all this in her mind as she debated what to do.

"Hey, whoa, simmer!" Squirt brought up his hands and held them in front of himself defensively. "Seriously - calm down! Okay, okay - you got a name, I got it - Star Ocean. You don't want to go by dude, I hear ya - no need to freak!"
He scratched his head in confusion, and his hair fell back to how it was supposed to be. Touchy, he thought to himself. Doesn't she know how to have fun?
"Something 'bout this place I don't know?" he asked her next, raising one eyebrow in perplexity. "Not supposed to hang out here or something?"

"I grew up in this same water. Thats all." She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms in front of her. "I never seen another here- and it just came as a surprise.."
"Im not freaking out- by the looks of it- its the other way around." Slicking back in to the rock some. "Its a free world isn't it- " She looked to him and questioned his thought process. 'This can't really be his smartest move. Oh please' Her ears slicked back as she moved down lower until her nose was under water. Blinking at him with bubbles appearing where her mouth is. Making bubbles.. and he even splashed her.
That wasn't very nice.. She looked up then... The sun was so trouble some.. and her fur was getting hot- muggy.. it was disgusting.. and the fog wasn't helping.. Closing her eyes she zoned to feel the auras of any other spirit katorai~ None. Then she lifted her head. "And you even came here by yourself. Usually your kind travel in packs. Do they not." A brow was raised. Of what she had learned from the Undine race is that they travel through the ocean together.

Squirt raised his one eyebrow even higher. "So you're surprised and you spazz," he said flatly. "Fine. Do whatever you want - if it's a free world. But I think you'll find, Star Ocean, that it isn't a free world. Everywhere you go, there'll be someone telling you what to do and how to do it. Can't say what you want, can't do what you want."
Obviously. Or else he would be allowed to call her 'dude' or hang out there or whatever came natural to him. But no, here he was, stuck being so fake to her just so that she would be civil. What kind of twisted hypocritical act was she putting on, anyways?
"Or even be alone if you want," he added belatedly, thinking of her final comment and frowning. "For a free world, you sure do think there are a lot of things I should and shouldn't be doing." He folded his arms across his chest again, rebelliously now. "You got a problem with me being by myself?" he asked her in a challenging tone.

"Mm. Free world- you can walk away whenever you wish." She stretched out a little. "All i wanted to do was swim here. Thats all- then i see someone." Her fingertips came to surface with stars hidden within the blackblue coat. "Spazz?" Tilts head.
"I have no problem. Its your choice- I just read up on your kind. Undine usually stay together.. But its odd to see one by themselves.." Leans forward to him. "Do you have a problem with being alone~~~~ Fishy." A teaser and a smirk crossed her. She was getting to him- how funny to her. If he had come to the sky city- she would have been welcoming and walk him through. Befriend even. But on the ground.. she only knew one place and it was here.. Intruding her.
"I was brought up on learning of others." She settled down some but still a lil on guard. "Are you a lover of the sun." She questioned.

Squirt sat down in the water, letting it wash over his body and cool his temper.
"Well you aren't the only one who likes swimming here," he told her, a bit more softly now. "And honestly - the rest of my kind are all ... blah, I hate being always with someone else. It's just nice to be alone sometimes."
Fishy. So what? He was a swimmer, what did he care if she called him Fishy? Though it did annoy him - it wasn't fair if she could call him Fishy and he could only call her by her name.
"Sun don't make a difference to me, Dude," he frowned at her, deliberately calling her by the name she didn't like to show her that she was going to be given what the handed out. "It's warm but the moon is prettier."
Dang. Pretty. Next thing he'd be talking about fancies and shinies ... he sounded like a female. He blushed and looked away, angry with himself now instead of her.

"See.. you don't like being called names." Feeding him what he gave to her.. a light smirk cause she knew she was getting to him.. but now he pulled back.. and she was rather happy about that to say the least.
Once he said the moon was prettier ... a blush crossed her star light cheeks. She just.. couldn't come up with anything. Just stare at him for a moment.. And feel that there was a glimpse moment that they were on the same page- but then that ruptured due to herself. Curling around the rocks and laying across one lazily- and in ownership of. Her ears slicking down her head.

Squirt stuck his tongue out at Star Ocean, then looked away self-consciously. SHe was really making him feel stupid ... stupid and childish.
"What about you?" he asked, twirling his index finger in a slow circle in the water. "Sun or moon?"
They were both there, and neither of them seemed to want to leave ... so he figured that they might as well have conversation while they were together.

"I am of the moon. I adore it so." She smiled softly and brightly. "I am surprised that you would have said moon.. since the sun makes the waters more warmer.. and such." She shrugged.. and curled up more. The sun shown over them.. and she kept trying to squeeze in the cracks that the rock made so she could have some shade..
She couldnt be in the sun too long. It drained her like a shroom! Hoping he wouldn't exactly notice.. Weakness of the moon's daughters and sons. The sun and Visa Versa. Had she known not one sun that would bask in the moonlight's kindness on their own free will. It seemed to never happen.
The cool breeze like a beach swifted over the lands.. Making soft markings on each tree with shadows that danced. Wisp spirits could be felt- not thick or alerted.. just swiftly through.. and so kind. Like it was crattling the both of them in its grasp.
