Ark sat on the edge of the passing stream, watching the fish float through aimlessly, mindlessly. Sighing to himself, he flicked his tail left and right. Was his life this boring day to day? Was nothing going to excite his interest? Coming to the conclusion that it wasn't likely, Ark huffed and pouted to himself. Mumbling things unintelligible.

She came down the hill like a swift hunter. Silent and stealthy. The golden bands around her legs where even silent as she made her approach to the stream. Slowly, Maeve eyed the surroundings making sure that there was no danger or if there was even prey. Rounding a bush she spied Ark on the other side of the stream. Her blue eyes scrutinized him from where she stood by the bush.

Ark was to engrossed in his thoughts to notice things around him. He pawed at the water, disturbing the fish with there trance like swimming. Everything seemed like they were brain washed with them no blinking, so rhythmic. Sighing again, under his breath, Ark looked up towards the tree's across them. Scanning for birds, squirrel, something.

Maeve watched Ark quietly. She wasn't necessarily hidden, just not in a very noticable spot. But with dainty steps she stepped forward cautiously as this was a strange male to her and she wasn't in the mind for conflict. She took a quick lap at the water to stave off her thirst all the while keeping an eye on him.

As the female approached from her small place beside the bushes, Ark watched her with curiosity. She was a very, very beautiful girl. She seemed built like a huntress. Ark stopped padding in the water and left it damp paw drift in the slight pull of the stream. "..Hello." He smiled encouragingly towards her, flicking his tail aimlessly.

Her brilliant blue eyes where no longer on him while she lapped at the water, but her ears stood up tall upon her head. When he spoke her eye flicked back to his and she raised her head. A couple drops of water dripped from her chin and fell to the stream. She gave him a slight smirk...but her eyes spoke of a devious nature. "Hello..." she murmured to him.

Ark couldn't help grin. This was an intriguing helix, highly attractive. "hm.. How are you on this fine day?" he whispered in low, almost husky voice. He stood to his feet in manners, not going to sit until she did. His tail swayed slightly, his eyes wandering over her body and examining the markings of jewelery she wore. Suddenly her nails sparkled and caught his attention. He'd never seem something like that.

Maeve smirked at him as she watched his eyes appraise her and then landing on her feet where each toe held a solid gold nail sharped to perfection. "Like what you see?" she asked in a rather nonchalance voice. She flexed her claws in the ground near the stream.

Ark's eyes quickly flickered up to her eyes then back down to the paws which she was showing off. Grinning more, pausing, then returning to gaze at her eyes, he nodded his head once. "I do. They seem highly lethal, just like your eyes.." he continued to stare into her gaze, his grin spreading again to flash his canine fang just under his top lip.

"My prey never stands a chance against my claws. Sharpened solid and gold. They cut through flesh like a hot knife through butter." Maeve didn't seem to flinch or avoid his own gaze. It had been a skill she practiced in order be a great huntress. Prey sometimes have a hard time escaping her piecing blue gaze.

When she said the last part about the hot knife, his eyes flinched, narrowing though the grin stayed in place. Sexy... He flicked his tail once than turned his eyes from her, turning to look off at the distance from where she came. Was she from around here? His head still turned, his eyes followed back to hers. "If your the huntress you look and act like, I'd say you travel often?" he inquired, perking his eyes in interest.
