-5:07 PM, GST. Broken down apartment.

----------------

The apartment was a mess. Littered with bugs, grease, and all sorts of other disgusting things, this kind of place would never appeal to those wealthy. The apartment was a home for scoundrels, crooks, con men, and everything in between. It was almost obvious, even to the untrained eye, that this was a den of crime.

Eekan wasn't a person who minded. Maybe it was just because he grew up in that kind of area. Maybe not. Whatever the reason, nobody asked.

His fingers twitched absentmindedly in his sleep, his hand directly above where one of his pistols was, on his belt. Even though he was asleep, his soldier reflexes weren't.

My watch is broken, GST . Previously mentioned apartment

Antonin walked in front of his group of four, once they had got inside they ditched the various bags and such they had hid they're weapons in and now held them in plain sight. Though Antonin was a bright young man he had a taste for the unsavory which was made apparent as he stopped at the designated room, produced a small silver case from his pocket and popped it open, he had three pills left, he could see his reflection in the case and smiled. "Hey beautiful what're you doin in a place like this?" he popped a pill into his mouth turned his head towards the ceiling crunching the purple and yellow capsule between his teeth with a relieved sigh. "I dunno."

With a hand he pointed at the more muscular of the four, who happened to be carrying an M60 machine gun, God knows were he got it, Antonin sure as hell didn't and gestured at the door. Reaching into his pocket he turned a dial on his CD player turning up the Beethoven drifting through the air from the headphones dangling about his neck.

There was a brief moment of silence, save for the Beethoven, before the hallway was filled with the roar of automatic fire as the man with the machine gun now laying prone in the hallway in front of the room began firing.

Luckily for Eekan, the bed he was sleeping on was not directly behind the door, but to the side of it. The bullets cut through the weak, rotted wood with little difficulty. And, hearing the bullets, Eekan snapped to attention.

His twitching hand snatched his first SOCOM, the other picked up the second. He scanned the room for hostiles, and found the source of the noise easily. An intruder outside, obviously firing from the hallway into the door. The bullets had not reached his side of the room, however, so Eekan simply remained put.

A steady stream of lead had poured out from the hallway, into the door, out of it, and then crashed into the window behind the doorway. The window was shattered in mere seconds.

After some time, the stream of fire stopped, and the door which had previously been there was little more than small pieces of blackened wood. Eekan used this chance.

He immediately jumped from the bed, and, facing his new opponents, pulled the triggers of his SOCOMs as fast as he could, emptying the clips. Not bothering to see what happened, Eekan dashed out the window and lept out of it to the ground below, which was only ten feet down. He had no regrets about leaving his room to his assailants, as there was nothing of his still in it. Most of his equipment and gear and weapons were in the Render Dropship.

Deciding not to stick around, Eekan began running down the street, reloading his SOCOMs as he did so.

The man with the M60 whom had been laying on the ground was missed by Eekan's return fire, as were Antonin and his other men who were all standing to the sides of the door. The muscular fellow stood up brought the heavy machine gun to his shoulder before kicking in what was left of the door and began walking into the shabby apartment closely followed by Antonin and the other three men. "Knock, knock." Chimed in a fellow wielding a micro-uzi his words were followed by a high pitched laugh from Antonin.

Antonin's saw that the bed looked slept in and since there had been return fire Eekan no doubt exited through the window, poking his head out the window to check for the one they were hunting he saw two ejected clips in one direction. Quick on his feet Antonin lept out the window quickly followed by his men, he ordered them to take the direction Eekan had taken, the men were off in heartbeat fast on Eekan's trail while Antonin lingered in the street.

Hearing footsteps some ways off, Eekan cursed silently to himself. He stared at his SOCOMs, trying to formulate a plan that wouldn't give away his location, but would eliminate his foes behind him, whoever they were.

About a second afterwards, Eekan had re-holstered his gun on his belt, and was rummaging around in his pockets for where he had put his silencer. He soon found it, and began fitting it on the SOCOM in his left hand. Once Eekan finished fitting it on hastily, he stopped running and turned. Aiming the best he could, he fired off shots toward the figures, attempting to hit them all in the chest or head.

The man who had been walking in lead of the group carrying an uzi caught the first of the bullets inbetween his eyes and dropped lifelessly into the arms of the SOCOM wielding man behind him who then caught the next bullet in his right shoulder, dropping with the front man, his own brother dead in his arms. "********! ********! ********!" shouted the shotgun wielding man who dropped as a bullet thudded into his right knee cap followed by a crimson burst of blood vapor as the next round hit his throat cutting of his cry of curses. Michael, the machine gunner had dropped with the first man using the corpses as cover now squeezed the trigger sending off a burst of automatic fire at where he believed his foe to be, his aim blurred by the potent mixture of his sweat and his comrades blood running into his eyes.

Elsewhere Antonin began advancing on their location, checking his guns as he went.

The automatic fire hit Eekan in the left leg, knocking him off balance and forcing him to fall to the ground. Luckily, the bullet hadn't landed close enough in the leg to actually lodge itself in. It did however, hurt. A lot.

Letting out a hiss of air, Eekan fell to the ground, holding the bleeding area, breathing in short, quick breaths, his hand soaked in blood.

Eekan paused for a moment or two, grasping his leg, machine gun fire still going off over his head. He snatched his fallen SOCOM nearby, and began rolling to the side of the street to an alley nearby, to reload and re-prepare. Once he got to the alley, he lept to his feet with little grace and limped as fast as he could, reloaded his SOCOM, and looked to the street which he had just escaped from. Bullets were still flying in the street, and the other way of the alley.....The other way of the alley?

Eekan turned his head to the side, seeing the alley lead out to a different street. Wasting no time, he began running toward the other end.

Antonin rounded the corner with his silver .357 magnum in hand, he fired a round into the heap of corpses without thinking and continued on his way, the last of his comrades' brains were splatered across the damp streets. He moved with suprising speed and came into the alley Eekan inhabited and fired his second round, aiming inbetween Eekan's shoulder blades.

The bullet collided into the sweater made of the bullet proof material, forcing Eekan to fall.

Not one to waste any sort of chance, Eekan spun around as he fell, pulling the trigger of his SOCOM as fast as he could, letting out bullets at a rapid rate toward his enemy, managing to empty the entire clip.

Eekan dropped his pistol, spun onto his stomach, pushing himself off the ground, and began run/limping, which was suprisingly fast for somebody who had just been shot.

With an elegant twirl to the side the tail of his trench-coat flapped up and was promptly ripped to pieces by the bullets, with a look of anger on his face over his coat he took careful aim, and squeezed the trigger firing off a round aimed at the right thigh of Eekan's limping form.

"s**t!" Eekan cried as he fell to the ground, letting out short breaths. He pulled the other SOCOM from his belt and flipped himself to face Antonin, and, with precise aim, let out an entire clip out toward Antonin's thighs and shins.

With some difficulty, Eekan got up again and reloaded, turned around, and let loose another flurry of bullets, reloaded, and began limping away.

The second volley of bullets zoomed over head as he dropped onto his stommach, the exoskeleton suit he was wearing underneath his clothes saved him, he lined up his target and fired a bullet aimed to graze the right side of Eekan's head.

The bullet sliced past, not hitting the head at all, as Eekan had soon ducked behind a garbage can for cover. He pressed his back against it, and, upon finding his three grenades on his belt, unhooked one, pulled the pin, and tossed it, firing off a few bullets to mask its sound.

Getting up he caught sight of the grenade throwing up his right arm to cover his face as a bullets whizzed past him one grazing his neck were the suit was thinnest resulting in a burning pain causing him to gasp, the grenade then detonated violently sending small bb's out rapidly, one went directly into his right eye the eyeball itself bursting as the bb shredded it, the incoming hail of metal then took his right arm off at about mid-forearm, dropping on his back full of agonizing pain blood flowed down his right cheek as a blood curdling scream echoed down the alley. Antonin's freshly amputated limb dropped to the ground and began to form a puddle of blood.

Hearing the scream, Eekan slowly rose, turned his head, and just saw the bloody arm falling to the ground. Obviously, this assassin would be paused for a while.

Not one to waste any chances, Eekan kept moving, limping along, but as fast as he could, reloading his SOCOM as he did so.
