The park was fairly busy for a thursday afternoon, all things considered. Alot of parents were taking their kids to the playground, what with preschool and the early elementary years getting out early on weekdays.
Blackfell wasn't a parent, but he was subsituting for Nikomas at the moment. She was busy with Aqua, he wasn't entirely sure what with. Some kind of a girl's day out or something... And so the raven child, teen, whatever, had his new little brother fostered on him. Not that he minded too much, since he barely knew the baby and should probably spend time with him, but still.
His wings were currently in hiding, and Nanaki was in a carrier strapped to the raven's back. Blackfell was by the playground, looking for something suitable for a baby to play on. Which wasn't saying much, since Blackfell remembered playing here when he was only a little younger...
Baby swings. That'd work. He brought Nanaki over to the little kids ones, slipping him out of the carrier and into the baby seat. He gave him a gentle push from behind, letting the little lion-dog swing forward slowly. "Like that, Nana?" He asked, still getting used to the name Nana. Nanaki, Nana, little brother... It was all odd.
Nanaki burbled happily, waving his little hands in the air in delight as he swung forward in the seat, his tail coming out of one of the leg holes in the back.
"Gaah!"

Jin was out with Cloud, again. The more he thought about it, the more he realized it really wasn't such a bad deal after all. Oh sure, Morrighan might always complain that a boy didn't know how to rear a child, but he was always able to point out that he raised her, didn't he? Her brother too, and they weren't that messed up. And his sister would quiet and shuffle off (because she'd never admit she was probably not right in the head), and then her twin would take his turn and complain that Cloud was annoying.
Now, how could a baby that never laughed or cried be annoying?
Jin wasn't sure (and was also unsure if this was even healthy), but would always use the situation the best he could, and would declare Cloud wanted to go out for a walk. It got him out of all the chores, all he had to do was pick up a few groceries on the way home. Someone else would clean the barn and feed the horses; he could come home, put Cloud down for a nap and ride his horse, come back in and someone would make dinner. It was perfect.
The redhead set Cloud down in the grass and settled on a nearby bench. The blond wasn't about to go far, and Jin almost fancied the idea of wasting time watching strangers. Like the boy pushing his brother on the swing. (They certainly didn't look alike, but that seemed to be the way of things on Gaia.)
Cloud wasn't terribly impressed with Jin set him down. Grass. How very...interesting. The blond was about to flop over and help himself to a handful of dirt when someone's voice caught his mind.
"Nnn?"
The blond started crawling towards the strange voice. Did that sound familiar?
Jin watched the baby crawl. Hmm. That was strange. Getting to his feet, Jin followed a few paces behind Cloud. That was the first time he'd actually seen the strange little blond do something, well, interesting.

Blackfell continued pushing Nanaki on the swing, the baby's giggles of delight increasing with each swing as he waved his hands. He certainly seemed to be enjoying the swing, that was for sure. He spared a glance to see another man arrive with a baby, too, and they didn't look too alike. His son maybe. Perhaps his wife, or girlfriend, was blond then.
That thought made a small, crooked smile come to the raven's face. It wasn't exactly like he and Nanaki looked alike. At all. Except for eye color, but that didn't say much.
He turned back to look at the father and son, and immediately saw the baby was crawling towards them, his blue eyes on Nanaki. What...? He stopped pushing the swing, one hand resting on the back of the seat as he watched the baby.
Nanaki was flying through the air, sort of, and it was amazing! He was laughing delightedly, though the smile disappeared when Blackfell stopped pushing him. He craned his head backwards, resulting in the swing shifting so he was almost upside down, to see what had made Blackfell stop.
"Gaah?" A little face with bright blue eyes, that seemed familiar for some reason. Though he couldn't for the life of his little baby mind figure out why...

Cloud continued on his little journey, quite determined to reach the strange boy. Once he got near the swing, the blond flopped down and peered up at Nanaki. Sticking a dirty hand into his mouth and began to chew. He didn't say anything, just studied the familiar stranger with uncharacteristic interest.
Jin stopped once Cloud halted, running a hand through his hair as he watched the small boy stare. "Huh," he said, finally looking up to the other pair. "Well, fancy that," he muttered, eyes dancing as he smiled. "Never seen th' tyke ge' frien'ly wi' anybody!" he announced, tipping his head to the side as he watched Cloud some more. Oh, what was he thinking?
"Ah, th' name's Jin. Jin Zavitra." The redhead offered a hand to the teen. "And the punk is Cloud. I didn' name 'em," he added, chuckling softly to himself. Like he'd pick a silly name like 'Cloud'. (In his opinion, that was hardly a boy's name at all.) "Pleasure t' meetcha." The smile held firm as the thief tried to greet the teenager and keep an eye on his charge at the same time.

Nanaki looked on in interest, as the blond watched him silently with blue eyes. That were upside down.
"Groow?" He asked curiously, his little tail wagging. He started tugging on the chains of the swing, while still upside down, demanding for Blackfell to let him down.
Rolling his eyes, he obligingly lifted the baby up and out of the seat, setting him down on the woodchips. He wouldn't get scratched due to the covering of fur on his body, though hopefully there wouldn't be any splinters to pick out later.
He stood up as the "father" came up, introducing himself as Jin and the baby as Cloud. They didn't look remotely alike, but still... "I'm Blackfell, and the furry thing is Nanaki." He said in response to Jin's words, nodding amiably. "Pleasure's mine."

Cloud got back up once Nanaki was placed down at his level. He pulled the hand from his mouth and toddled over to the other baby as quickly as his little limbs could take him, making a soft noise. He didn't really pay attention to the grown-ups, they were just being boring anyways.
Once he got close enough, Cloud reach over to grab Nanaki's ear. It looked awful soft.
"Blackfell." No wonder the kid didn't make fun of Cloud's unfortunate name. "So. That yours?" he asked, nodding to Nanaki. He had to doubt it, really. Now way could someone so young have a baby that old already. Especially a furry one. They didn't look anything alike, not at all. Of course, it might be a situation like his own, but who know.
"Looks like Cloud likes 'em." Which was saying a lot, since Cloud never really showed a whole lot of any emotion all at once.
