Woohoo 2 topics in one night ninja
I was thinking for everyone to share their first name, and it's meaning, origin, whatever informational you'd like to add, teeheehee x3
I shall start, my first name is Amanda and it means 'loved, worthy of being loved' And im pretty sure it's Latin.
No reason my mom named me that, she thought i was going to be a boy and had a boy name, when i was a girl she forced the nurse to name me.
Your turn guys : D

I'm totally going to report you for spamming the forum. xd heart
I hate my first name. razz There are exactly 34987329403e32 different ways of spelling it and either my first or last or both names are always spelled wrong. It's Gaelic and traditionally spelled like "Ceilidh" and it means party. (Which, if you knew me, is the complete opposite.)
Since that's boring, I like to use Kali which is an Indian Goddess with swords and a skull necklace. Plus she has like four arms and likes black.
One day I will pay the $132 to officially change my name simply to "Lee".
It's interesting to know the name behind the avatar. Onicoe, I wouldn't of guessed Nicole to be your first name.

It's pronounced Kay-lee. My parents were nice enough not to give my name the traditional Gaelic spelling.

pirhan It's pronounced Kay-lee. My parents were nice enough not to give my name the traditional Gaelic spelling. When I worked at Gymboree for a short time there were a couple of kids with Gaelic spelt names and of course I totally butchered trying to say their names. I would like to learn a little Gaelic one day and of course go to Ireland. I also want to name my daughter Bridget, which if I remember correctly is the irish goddess of fire. My maiden name was Demeter, which was hungarian...but I always like to think of it as the greek goddess of harvest, so much more interesting. I love mythology wink -Pierced Pixie: Bah, I never use Susan though. I'm just...Suzy, hee hee.

I hate my name because growing up I wanted one of those personalized brushes, magnets, whatevers that the sold at the dollar store. They had Jenny, Rachel, Hayley, Armin and Zookamafu but not mine. No sir. Now, everyone and their dog is named that. Seriously. One time in my office, my name was that, this girls daughter name was that and the other woman's dog was named that.

Okay, here's mine---
Deborah, from Hebrew Devorah, means "bee", she was a judge & prophetess Elaine, either from Hebrew again, Eliana "my God has answered", or from Helen, meaning "light" (probably from Helen, my most excellent Grandmother!) Blessing, yep, that's my real maiden name
Guess you can all draw your own conclusions now---- blaugh
