As many of you have probably heard, Hurricane Ike butchered Galveston and most of the Houston area[I live in Pasadena]. My family migrated up north, leaving our house all boarded up with everything on the beds. I took a week of clothes and carried my Marching uniform with me.
If there is any crisis in my town, my marching uniform is the first to follow me. It has a lot of memories[had it since 9th] and the actual color and theme of our school came from our band uniform, the first uniform before the football, cheerleaders, sidekicks etc were even mentioned.
And so we were able to come back to our home on Monday, September 15, 2008, and all but our fence and a couple of small trees fell down.
For marching band to come up into this discussion: We didn't have school for a whole week. A whole week without practice, and that is horrible for us. We need to practice, our first game is next Saturday.
But thankfully, a group of kids managed to pull together practice last Friday, and the majority of kids came, which excited me. This week we have practice 4 hours a day[The UIL party gave us extended time due to Ike], and we just finished our show today. : DDD Which makes me super duper happy.
Now for discussion: Has any horrific weather crisis postpone any rehearsals?

That is an awesome story. We have never had really bad weather - only rain (with lightning) which we sometimes stay inside for.
