Basically, what is 'reverb'? I was looking at some amps w/ the feature, but I have no clue what it is.

It's an effect that causes an echo-y sound.

Pretty much what Slappy said. If my camera was working I could make you a video with a demonstration, but the best way to find out is to try it first hand.

Reverb will simulate the natural response of a room. In other words, it makes you sound like you're in a room/hall/auditorium depending on what type of reverb you have and what level you set it at.
