The lub lub lubing of a motor cycle was loud in the early morning air as Fiona and Cassie rode down the downtown street looking for a parking place. They were both humming and in a good mood until they saw the icecream parlor didnt open for another few hours.
"Ah well we can walk around and window shop till they open"
Cassie said as she parked the bike and they took off their protective jackets and helmets locking them in the side car

Harriet and his daughter were out for a walk today, the girl cheerfully skipping beside him. Bella worked this morning so they'd decided the morning should be spent just wandering around and having a good time.
The child was enthusiastically bobbing along beside her father, dressed in the play clothes he'd sewn. Alice was excited at the prospect of maybe meeting some other children while she and Harriet were out and about - she had gotten to meet so few young people, if she'd met any at all!
It was while they were wandering by some shops, the little girl's wings fluttering as she walked, that Alice spotted something much more interesting - a person with bright orangy hair and WINGS!
"Oooooh! Your wings are so pretty!" came the exclamation from behind Fiona as the smaller Herald rushed up to investigate, leaving a very sheepish Harriet to walk up after her.

Fiona and Cassie were looking in the window of a small art shop, Fiona was thinking about trying her hand at oil painting. They both jumped a little when they heard Alice exclaim about her wings. Fiona spun to face the younger herald and nearly squeeled when she saw the other girl had wings too! and they were the prettiest purple!
"Thank you!"
she replied then added
"but i like yours better, that is such a pretty color"
Cassie stood back after her initial move to come between her Fiona and the new child. She watched as they talked

"Thank you so much!" Alice squeaked happily, fluttering the small appendages and twirling a bit. She'd never met anyone else with wings and was sooooooo happy to finally do so!
"I'm Alice and that's my Daddy! What's your name?" the child asked then, arms spread wide as she looked up at the other girl, a huge grin upon her features. Such an open, sweet face. Honestly, Harriet wondered how she didn't have the world wrapped around her little finger.
Hatty walked up behind his daughter and smiled softly, nodding politely to Fiona and Cassie in turn.

Fiona nodded at Alices Daddy then said
"Im Fiona Blair! that means child of the feilds, and thats my Mommy!"
she turned and pulled Cassie closer behind her
"Her name is Cassie."
Cassie gave a little nod to the man then looked back at the child, holding Fionas hand lightly in her own.
Fiona continued
"Its nice to meet you both! its been a long time since i met another herald."

Fiona, who enjoyed common contact with others leaned in and rubbed her nose against Alices' when she pulled back she was smileing
"we are silly."
Cassie made a face but didnt say anything, she had yet to get Fiona to understand that some people had personal boundry issues and didnt like to be touched.

Alice giggled happily at the nose rub and bounced a bit on her toes. She was a happy-go-lucky and affectionate little thing, and was quite positive that she liked touching and hugging. So, luckily for Fiona, the nuzzle was reciprocated.
"Whee! I like you! You're fun ~ <3!" the child exclaimed with a nod and hugged the bigger Herald around her middle.
Harriet blushed and scratched the back of his head. "Sorry, Alice's not used to meeting new people. She'll learn eventually." he explained, though who it was directed at, he wasn't sure.

Fiona squeeled and hugged Alice back and picked her up just a little before setting her back down.
A drop of sweat rolled down cassies temple
"Eh, Fiona doesnt mind, shes over affectionate anyway."
she watched Fiona and Alice with a watchful eye of a mother even if she hadnt actually given birth to the child with wings

Alice had enjoyed her little lifting, mostly cause it made her feel like she was flying again. "What were you guys doing?" the girl asked, quite the nosy creature. Ah, to be young and think everything was simple <3
"Well, at least they have someone who doesn't mind it to talk to now." the man offered with a shrug.

"We came to get icecream, but they are still closed so we were window shopping."
she pointed in the window and said
"I like art and im thinking about trying oil painting"
cassie would not admit to a stranger that she loved the affection fiona gave her,
"thats true."

Harriet wouldn't admit the same thing about Alice to a stranger either, but it was true.
"Oooooooh!" pressing as close to the glass as she could, the small Herald took in the stuff she could see. "What interesting things! I haven't done art before, 'cept with crayons or finger paints. Are you good at art?"

Fiona picked alice up so she could see into the shop a little better.
