Murdoc glared at the ground, panting heavily. Another failed attempt at catching an antelope. The male was as swift as any other cheetah, but he lacked bruit strength that was needed to actually take down a large animal. He'd probably be stuck with rabbits and mice again for a couple days...
Calming slowly, he exhaled and glanced around, ears tilted back. What now? He could try again later... But the herd was spooked now, and he doubted that he'd be able to sneak up on them again. Accepting the fact that he'd be hungry tonight, he stood and started trotting away to a patch of trees. Maybe he'd at least be able to get his breath back in a bit of shade.

Not too far away, a lean female cheetah chomped down on the leg of a freshly killed antelope. It was so delicious, so juicy, just like the one she caught last week. Some might call Saiha an expert hunter, but she wouldn't admit it. She had her own handicaps, but hunting wasn't one of them. She was only afraid of the dark...and thankfully the sun was still high in the sky.
As she got her fill, her dark eyes noticed the increasing number of vultures and hyenas gathering around her.
"Back off guys, I'm saving this for leftovers." She muttered. "Kill your own food."

The wing shifted, bringing the smell of blood to his nostrils. He blinked, glancing over his shoulder. Had someone else managed to kill something? Maybe that was why the herd was already a bit jumpy... Curious and starving, he turned and trotted back the way he had came. Perhaps there would be some bones he could gnaw on, at least...
He just hoped that it wasn't a pride of lions or something. He really could go without being chased down and beaten up by a bunch of girls. How disgraceful.

Continuing to chew on the bones, she suddenly smelled another cheetah nearby. And...well. It smelled. Dropping the bones from her mouth, she got to her feet to face the incoming cheetah. Oh hell no. What did this male think he was going to do? But Saiha wouldn't act that way. She would remain calm and pleasant.
Giving him a smile, she yelled to him. "Whatcha looking for, dude?" He still was pretty far away, so she wasn't even sure if she heard her. Quite frankly, she hoped he didn't.

Murdoc continued to follow the scent until he could see the other cheetah. Ah, great... a girl. He smirked and trotted closer, his head held high. He carried himself as if he was the hottest feline in Africa, even though... well, he wasn't. Though if he cleaned up a bit he wouldn't be too bad.
"Oh, I don't know..." He called out when he was close enough to be heard. "What can ya offer me, babe?"

Saiha raised an eyebrow at his remark. Her eyes glanced over to a pile of elephant dung and back at the male. A pile of s**t. She wanted to say, but of course...she was to nice for that. She couldn't let herself say that to complete stranger. Eyes then glanced down at the remaining carcass of the antelope. Oh. What the hell.
"Well, babe. I offer you a feast that I prepared with my own paws." The female said, motioning with a paw at the meat. Hoping that her lack of enthusiasm wasn't too obvious.

Murdoc raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Oh? Well then!" He stepped closer, sniffing at the meat eagerly. He was rather hungry... He nipped a little at it, testing it. After chewing and swallowing he grinned back at her, winking. "Thanks, Doll. Mighty kind of ya to offer me your hard earned meal."
He bent down again and stole a large chunk of meat and bone, stepping back to gnaw at it. He had little manners, and merely devoured the scraps, the bone serving as a messy chew toy. "Ya get enough to eat? I like a girl with some meat on her bones. No need to be starving to make me happy, Doll."
