Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I need to work on how to translate my thoughts into text better. So this week, I decided to institute my sketch-a-day routine... or at least try to. I'll post stuff from that as often as I can. Hopefully I can drop some pencil + paper drawings too, now that I have a scanner. Most recent: 8/19  8/18  8/17

awesome awesome, i love sketch threads in where you can record your progress. can i ask for the other two links be images instead so we can see them? biggrin i really love the third one, i think that one came out pretty well. it has a better balance of values than your first two since i feel like they're too washed out. adding some darker colors will probably make them stand out more biggrin

Okie dokie. mm... yeah, I try not to use darker colors a lot, but I guess I should use the whole spectrum. 8/21 (totally forgot about wave principle)  8/25  8/28

  Finally... some on-paper stuff. Both are pen, but the figure itself is pencil.

Been mostly working on 18x24 inch paper... with no camera handy, so I can't get pictures/scans of those at the moment. I'll upload some of the stuff from between when I last posted and now... not too much stuff from the past week or two though; papers to write. 10/4 - Gunbuster 2 (nono)  10/10 - Lulz  cheap .gif's    10/21 - Disgaea time   10/23 - Halloween  10/29 - Nia + Yoko  11/10 - that zOMG! thang  11/16 - scribble

heehehe cool i like the chibis =) stylish and fun. i just busted out disgaea again last night actually. gotta get around to finishing the last few levels. i caught myself in a stalemate last year because i wanted to get all my characters leveled up super high before finishing but was turned off by the amount of time it'd take to do so >< some of etna's stuff is getting lost on my monitor in front of the dark background, might be nice to see a rim light or some bright outlines on those.
cool to see the zomg sketch too biggrin especially after having worked on the intro for so long. that npc montage had like the camera move from hell.. of course now after effects CS4 supports independent x/y/z keyframes which would have made that job ridiculously simpler >< anyway it'd be fun to see it really refined if you ever decide to revisit it.

Heh... I was just about to pick up the DS version recently. Ironically, I haven't actually played any Disgaea game before. The closest thing was Phantom Brave. Hah. I was surprised when I first saw the intro. Super-awesome... and I caught that little bit of Gurren Lagann OP reference in there too. Some updates... 12/2+3 - Some re-do's on the characters my Halloween picture and Gunbuster 2 fun    12/9 - More Gunbuster 2  12/12+13 - Shikabane Hime (lawl... total GAINAX fan)   And... Nono once more

She's been my desktop ever since I finished her. :d 12/13 - Minai (Finished from earlier)  [lol. time gap] 1/18 - EVA 02 + Asuka    Nono's been sitting on my desktop for a good while now, so I decided I should get something new. I also just finished watching Evangelion for the first time. Crazy good. When I watched 25+26 of the aired series, I totally rage'd until I found out they re-did it.
