There has been something of an... accident.
Magnolia certainly didn't think that anyone else could be out hunting in these parts of the woods at the exact same time as she, and Rowan certainly didn't expect to be hit right on the wing by... well... let's just say, when you have to go, you have to go. But sometimes it could be smart to look out below, first, even if you are fairly certain that you're alone. To be fair, Magnolia is not really perched very high up - she's situated on a low perch, watching and listening to the area beyond her in search of prey.
It just happens that Rowan, looking for a good perch and at the same time taking stock of the possible prey in the area, flies by a little bit lower just as Magnolia... lets herself go.
Specific details: Neither Sentinel has a chance to notice the other before the unthinkable suddenly happens. Yes. Magnolia has just taken a crap on Rowan's wing. Rowan may have noticed Magnolia perched above, but Magnolia is completely unaware of Rowan's presence. (Rowan should post first).

It had been a calm, slow night and Rowan was out hunting for dinner. Flying low, the wildtype was looking down for prey when maybe he should have been looking up.
The Mus perched on his head gave a cry as he saw the Sentinel on the low perch, but Rowan reacted a little too late and something impacted on his wing.
The impact of the... Stuff set him a little off balance and, wondering what had happened, Rowan settled on a low perch and inspected himself.
And that's when the smell hit him.
Recoiling, the Wildtype looked for who might have.. Done that, and saw the other Sentinel perched a short distance away.
"Excuse me?" He called out, perhaps just a little louder then needed. "Watch out when you do that!" Rowan proceeded to try to wipe his wing against the branch he was on. He did not want to try to preen... It off unless it was absolutely necessary.

Magnolia was just beginning to shake herself off when the voice came. Loud, it jarred her, but its message startled her more. Feathers all stood on end as her beak clamped shut, eyes wider than she knew she could open them. She was sure been alone! Nobody in their right mind would be down this low without saying something; her pale coloration stood out in the gloom, not camouflaged her! Even though she wasn't the most genteel Sentinel in Noctua, she had been raised to be something of a lady, and had been holding it for a while before finding a nice, safe, and most importantly, low perch. Should she reply, or go with her instincts and fly away as quickly as possible? Her upbringing got the better of her as she knew she owed at the very least an apology. She found it impossible to move, though, and when she opened her beak, the only sound that came out was a weak, rattly "Ske-e-kek." Her eartufts drooped. Great. She couldn't even apologize. What would her aunt say if this got around? What would anybody say? As a teacher, she was supposed to set an example for her students, not eliminate when somebody else was around! Heart hammering away, she hoped the stranger wouldn't come up here and would just fly away, disgusted.

Rowan remains where he is, finding a promising piece of bark and fumbling with his Will to try to scrape the... Stuff... Off his wing. All the other Sentinel managed was a darn owl-noise and Rowan did not really know how to deal with this situation.
He heaved a sigh. "Aren't you even going to say anything?" He does not sound angry, rather... Exasperated. This was something that had never happened to him before.

A Wildtype, a male Wildtype! Oh, this was just great, Noctus only knew who she'd offended, with her luck, the male probably knew the Brigadier or something. Magnolia remained paralyzed with fear and embarrassment. "Eep!" she squeaked, her beak trembling. How did one apologize for something this dreadful? Aunt Peri had never mentioned it, for this subject in general horrified her, and she'd never heard of it happening before. Sentinels in polite society never spoke of such things... As if she was part of polite society after this humiliating incident! Her feathers had settled back down, now that her initial fear was over, and she continued pulling them in, trying to make herself small and invisible. "Umumum," she stammered, "So-so-so-sor-sorr-sor-so-sosorry!" She squinted her eyes shut as tightly as she knew how, hoping that the male would just fly off. What should she do now? Offer to help him... clean it off? Ew! But it would be worse for him, and it wasn't even his[bi]! Oh, what to do?

Rowan again heaves a deep sigh. Obviusly the Female Sentinel didn't mean it... But still... Happy to see that he is making at least some headway in cleaning his wing, Rowan continues his grizly work, all thoughts of hunt forgotten for the moment.
Another sigh. "You didn't mean to, did you? Still, you really should look out. Or down, as it were." Rowan's companion Mus runs off to look for something to help clean his masters wing as he looks up and studies the curled up Sentinel up there... She was obviously feeling guilty.
"Look, it was an accident, I'm not angry." Disgusted, yes. Angry? Not really. Not after seeing her curled up so tightly in fear. "I'm not going to eat you."

Well, that was a relief. If he wasn't going to eat her, he probably wasn't going to take her before the Elites and have her exiled for humiliating him. But this was small comfort to Magnolia; once talk of this got around, she might as well be exiled. Nobody was going to let an incontinent Teacher around their children! Vaguely wondering how Aunt Peri would feel if she moved to the far, far, far reaches of the Cold region, she hopped off her perch, feeling- literally- like crap. Spiraling slowly down to the male's perch, she refused to look at him as she began to help scrape the rest of the goo off with her Will. Cringing, she refused to think of what she was doing, thinking her hardest about tree sap and cleaning it out of her mus' fur. Good thing that neither of them were here... Dahlia, her old lady, was just as prim and proper as her aunt, and Steele had a horrible sense of humor; he'd have laughed at this. She continued to scrape, dropping the stuff down below. She knew this was probably another horrible breach of etiquette, but helping him was the only right thing to do.

Rowan watches impassively as the pretty Ghost cleaned him. Extending his wing towards her and happy to be free from fumbling with his clumsy Will. She looks very, very embarrassed about this accident and Rowan decides to try to lighten the mood, or distract her from what happened.
"I'm Rowan, what's your name?"
His small Mus companion comes running back with a few leaves in his paws, he climbs up on his masters back and tries to help in the cleaning process.
"And this is Berr." He says in a calm voice.

He wanted her name? Oh Noctus, he must be preparing a report for the Elites in his head! Magnolia wanted to die. Just right there on the spot, keel over and die, or get eaten by a fox, or something. Anything. In a pained voice, she croaked "'Er... Ga... Nolia. Name's Magnolia. S-s-s-s-s-s-orrysorrysorrysorry!" She wouldn't even make eye contact with his Mus. She was now very glad Steele was not here, as he had a tendency to get boisterous around others of his kind. Who knows what he'd do? And besides, after she was exiled, she was sure that her Companions would be given to Rowan to eat as reparations for his insult. At least this way, they wouldn't know anything about him before he devoured them. She hoped that he'd be quick about it, but knew that it was within his rights to... relish the experience. The very thought made her cringe even more; by now, she looked more tousled than, well, Tousled, as the constant pulling in of her feathers was doing nothing for her appearance.

A low chuckle escaped Rowan and his beak opened a bit in a small smile. She was flustered and... Scared? Rowan fixed his eyes on her properly and studied her features as well as the state of her feathers. He drew the conclusion that she was, indeed, scared and that her mind was racing.
"Hey..." He said, not caring if he interrupted her thoughts. "I'm not angry with you, it was an accident, right?" His voice is stern, leaving little argument.
He then glances over at his wing again. Good... Almost clean again.
"I appreciate you helping to clean me."

Magnolia bobbed her head in agreement so fast, the branch began to shake. "Accident, mmhm. Never on purpose. Never, never, never!" Pulling her head well below his, she looked up into the Wildtype's face with wide, frightened eyes, like a wet hatchling's. The lilac orbs begged forgiveness and radiated contrition. Continuing to scrape at his feathers with her Will, attempting to separate each of the individual barbs and pull it clean, she directed her eyes towards the damp patch. "It's my fault. My responsibility to clean it up."

"Hey, hey." Rowan says, a teasing glimmer in his eye. "Watch the branch." His voice is anything but angry: He's beginning to see the comedy of the situation. When Magnolia looked up into his face, he smiled at her. He had not meant for her to be scared of him.
"Mm, yeah. I guess. Looks like I'm almost clean again." Despite himself, Rowan chuckles a bit. "What are the odds of something like this happening?" With the smell mostly gone or faded into the background and his wing quickly becoming cleaner, Rowan began to really see just how absurd this situation was.
Berr works with Magnolia's Will but the little Mus doesn't see much more he can do, so he climbs up his master and sits on his head, looking at the other Sentinel.

"Sorrysorrysorry!" Immediately, Magnolia made herself as still as a Mus in a den of Serpes. She could see that the male wasn't so horrifically upset as the thought immediately, and she began to calm down, although her heart still beat rapidly. She relaxed her feathers a bit; however, her eartufts still remained nearly flat. "I... I don't think it's ever happened before. I know it hasn't to me- that is, I've never... um... well, I've just never done this to somebody before." She didn't want him thinking she regularly let loose on other Sentinel's wings.

Rowan begins to chuckle a bit, the closest thing he ever gets to breaking out into laughter. Mirth in evident in his voice.
"No, no... I believe you." He pauses and chuckles again. "Sorry, this is just so absurd... I mean what are the odds?" Hoping to get the female to relax a bit, Rowan leans forward and gently preens Magnolia's eartuft before settling back.
"I'm not angry, but lets not tell anybody about this particular incident, eh?"
His Mus looks genuenly shocked at his master, then begins to run around on Rowan. "Master happy! Master laugh!"
"More amused then happy, little one." He says, then chuckles again.

((Sorry this took me so long- it got REALLY hectic around here!))
Magnolia accepted the laughter, knowing full-well she deserved to be mocked. She stared down at her toes until she felt a nibble at her eartuft. Oh, Noctus, he'd changed his mind! He was going to eat her, starting with her eartufts! Or maybe he was just going to pluck them right out, like she'd been told would happen to naughty fledglings during her childhood. It didn't quite register that he was just tweaking it, and she almost panicked again. However, his words shocked her to the core, freezing her on the spot. Not telling? He wasn't going to make her the laughingstock of Noctua, as she fully deserved? Her words still didn't want to come out; however, she managed to squeak out an actual sentence. "Y'mean you don't want to throw me before th' Elites?" she sputtered. She wanted to believe him, but she wasn't quite sure.
