PostPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2005 6:32 pm

xD Your avatar is different again. xD

Anyway. ^.^

In the last episode...
After the explosion...

Not exactly sure. A lot could have occured.
But to answer the main question, no, I don't think Robin and Amon are dead. That's just too heartbreaking to believe! v.v
Plus, this is Robin and Amon we're talking about, here. xd Not just -anything- can kill them. We all know this by now.

I think they fled Japan and have gone elsewhere to start anew. *nod* 3nodding

Personally, I'd rather not know what happened to them, but I think they died (don't kill me!). Although there was like a billion and one senarios that went through my head before i came up with that conclusion; but Robin and Amon can't always win, that would just be so...cheesy, i guess you could say. xd I don't know, maybe it's just me, or maybe i wanted them to die (for some unprofound reason I'm unaware of). WHO KNOWS?! Even I don't know what's going through my mind most of the times. but that's besides the point..anyway, yeah, they died..and that's my input on it.

I would have written more, but i have to go to my violin lesson now!

Heartbreaking, but sentimental and fitting, right? I mean Witch Hunter Robin wasn't exactly known for it's "happy, and sunshine" moments, was it? ...er that's what I think.. our opinons differ, obviousely!

Same as I said earlier, it's true that Amon and Robin are known (as well as all the member of the STN-J) to get out of tight predecaments, but there are limits; yes, they are witches, but humans as well. If you add in all the adrenaline that was running through earlier with the whole Todou recording, and the "joust" with Zaizen, I'm sure they were pretty worn out. (not to mention Amon taking the bullet!) To me, it seemed pretty impossible, er..improbable, if you would.

sorry, I'm in a big debating mood, I just had a debate in AP World History an hour ago, and the whole "rush" is still going. ..I guess I came across this at the wrong time. xp

Yep. They do.
And no, but it did have "happy" and "sunshine" moments, and those are the moments that I remember. The ones that make me laugh. The ones that amuse me. The ones that didn't break my heart like the rest of the anime. Which was common. o_O;; I was always so emotional with it. xD

I guess there are limits, but this is Amon and Robin we're talking about. Not Sakaki, not Doujima, not even Karasuma. Amon and Robin are different. They're stronger; more capable, than the others. They had to protect themselves when no one else would. More independent.
And the fact that they are also human makes them stronger as well. They have the best of both worlds and I believe that they truly wanted to get out of there. For themselves. For Robin to officially be... the "Eve" and whatnot. And for Amon to lighten up. -_-

Adrenaline. Adrenaline is drive; fuel. They had drive to get out of that factory before it collapsed. And I believe they did. Robin is determined, and Amon just won't accept death. o_O;; not in that way, at least.

I don't think the recording made them physically exhausted. Mentally, maybe. Not physically. Zaizen incident... yep, that would make them tired. But if I remember correctly... wasn't Amon shot in the arm? Last time I remembered, not many people died from a wound like that. And they are still able to walk. Plus, how is it that Karasuma, who was with them when Robin put the witches in the factory "to rest," if you will, just made it out when they "didn't?" I'm sure they could have been seperated from her, but they would still have the same amount of time as her to get out. Amon's arm could play a factor as well, but this is Amon. I think he's pretty much used to stuff like this by now.

Yeah. You kinda were debating.
Sorry, but I'm certain that they're alive. That's just what I believe. I got to know Robin and Amon as characters throughout the series, and that's what I've concluded. @_@

moments is the key word here. There was never an episode that was dedicated to happiness. And the last episode sure wasn't an implacation of that, I mean it you had termoil, and confusion throughout the whole thing, and at that last instant, they let you go to think for your own in a semi-depressing (depends on how you look at it) way.

Exactly; that's what they want you to think. Yes, they're stronger, but that strength is also their weakness. Because like you said, they were mentally traumatized; a feeble mind can't support a strong body.

They can't and would rathar not accept death that way, but when facing death, you can't say no. Once you're staring it in the face, there's no running away.

Well, not completely. But moments do count for something. Moments are the things made into mememories. The things we don't forget.
And the fact that there was never really an episode dedicated to happiness makes the moments even more precious.
The only thing that I was saddened about in the last episode was the thing with Todou, Amon getting shot [of course xD], and Robin having to burn the rest of the witches because they were suffering. The actual -last- part of me seeing Robin and Amon wasn't depressing at all. After it was found out that they may be dead is when I was really depressed. The moments leading up to that weren't that bad, in my opinion. I think the episode "Time to say Goodbye" was way worse than the last one.

xD I don't think they were "traumatized," dude. Don't you think that's a little over-dramatic? I think they were shaken up by it, but they've had times just as worse in prior episodes. The only reason this would be different is because this is directly Robin's business.

Not sure if you ever heard this quote... but I'm going to cite it to you.
"It's not death if you refuse it, it is if you accept it."
And I think that ends mah rant well enough. xD

I'm with poisonwavehana on this one, WHR. I think Robin and Amon made it out of the Factory. If I remember correctly (I haven't seen the last episode in a while) but Michael was hopeful that they were still alive, right? Well, if Michael can have that hope then why shouldn't the audience?

Of course, I'm also a romantic at heart. I think Robin and Amon survived, disappeared together, and are living happily ever after... well, as happily as Amon and Robin can be sweatdrop

I really do think they made it... I don't care if it seems impossible.

And yes, Michael was hopeful... because Doujima told him that they were dead, but then he says something like: "How can I believe a word that woman says?! ... Know what I mean?" or something to that nature. *really needs to watch the series again*

xd Yes, happy as can be.

Solar-chan (Yes, I'm speaking in the third person ><) likes her opinion because it works well with fan fiction. Solar-chan writes fan fiction but I have yet to attempt something Witch Hunter Robin. Maybe I will for my holiday writing project!

And don't give up WHR-chan! I think that way so I can aspire to write about the show and who wants fan fiction from the show if it's not about Robin and Amon? Well, me... because I adore Haruto... but shhhh ><
