The day was no different from any other. The sun shone brightly, as always. The skies were clear and bright blue, with only a sparse few clouds, puffy and white like cotton balls. It was relatively cool, though, with a gentle breeze drifting over the area, almost lazily. Ekundayo most certainly did not feel the same way as the breeze! The young cub was active and playful as ever, venturing away from her family's den to explore the immediate, surrounding area.
It was unlike Ekundayo to wander away without big brother Mivu to protect her, and keep an eye on her. But Mivu had been napping, and Ekundayo found it impossible to sleep. So, with an unusual show of bravery for the sweet little female, Ekundayo set out. Spurred by curiosity, she wandered farther away from her home than she'd ever been, even with Mivu! The two of them had gone pretty far, too. Ekundayo soon realized that she no longer recognized the landscape, and she began to become frightened.
The poor thing was lost. She was alone, away from home, with no idea where she was or just how she was going to get back. Ekundayo began to shiver, not because of the cold breeze tickling her body, but because of fear. What would happen to her?
