Do you ever wonder if: - Entrenched, Bi-partisan policies caused our economic crisis? - Politicians create inflation by increasing the money supply? - Inflation benefits the political establishment at your expense? - The Real inflation rare is over 12% & rising? - The dollar has dropped 97% since 1913? - Federal Debt + liabilities > $60 trillion? - $60 trillion = $200,000 per American? - Prosperity requires limited government? Had enough? Support the Campaign for Liberty! Ok.. So for most of you you might either be laughing on the floor, giving a blank stare, or agreeing with everyone of those things. It was a card my dad got to hand out for the campaign for Liberty and wanted to hear what some of you think of this so called 3rd party. it was created by Ron Paul b/c the Republicans insulted and kicked him out of the party because of his views and belief in the constitution. Lol.

xd Curse you nonpolitical active people!... I'm a hypocrite. If it wernt for being in my JSA club I probably wouldn't much care either though.
Though I still think you should bring those points into mind, even if you arnt going to support the cause.. Because for most of us in the upcomming generation, we'er gonna be stuck paying off the US.

crying Ugh. Sorry about that, not just to you, but anyone else watching my posts haha. My dad works with the local politics, so that becomes one of the only things debated about on a regular basis around here, hence why I do these. razz Plus, you should want to know about polictics and how our government works haha.

Master Secret Asian Man If anyone is gonna pull us out of the s**t hole, it's us common people. I wouldn't put too much faith in that, either. The "common people" haven't been doing things worth too much faith in them. Part of the housing market problem is that the "common" person attempted to live beyond their means too much. Part of the oil price problem is that the "common" person puts forth demand for energy so high that OPEC can gouge us over pricing. Part of the government problem, even, is that politicians effectively know they can pull the wool over the common person's eyes because they're not involved, informed, etc. I'd say about half the problem is the fact that people with power are not saints and the other half of the problem is rooted in our own lifestyles.

Master Secret Asian Man Hey Inune. Didn't know you were in this guild. Anyway, you probably just proved me wrong. Again. sweatdrop Yeah, I just joined today. We'll see if my sparse and whimsical posting style can meet the 20-per-week rule. Anyway, you weren't completely off-base, in my opinion - just in the implication I got that people will change things. In this age, I think, it would take a cultural movement (which works with or in the "common" people) to really change anything. As to people actually accomplishing this, however....yeah... I don't think there's much faith to be put there unless we meet some circumstance that forces us to change our lifestyles.

The OP makes sense to me, though I can't say that I've wondered about it. As much as I love politics, I'll be underage this election, so I don't see the point in educating myself deeper than what is visible on the surface. Pretty bad excuse, I know. I'm also afraid of what I might find the farther I dig. Ignorance is bliss.

Vavari just gave the most chilling honest answer I have EVER witnessed. Your outlook is like that of so very many but I commend you for admitting it. At least you are aware of how complacent. As Inune stated it will take a serious slap in the face for the average person, to wake the hell up. Forgive me if I've put words in your mouth.
What I say now is strictly "Lilith" speaking. The only way things will change is if we fight for it. By the time many of you realize how bad things are, how bad things are getting it may well be too late. I'm not going to get into every aspect of what I'm talking about because I know good and well no one is going to read page after page of me ranting but damn it change is coming and not through Obama or McCain but the people that pull the strings. And it won't be something that kisses-it-and-makes-it-better, that change is going to rip open the wounds that are already causing this country to bleed out. Think the economy is bad now? Keep watching. I wish I were being over-dramatic. I really wish I were.

I would be more than happy to read your ranting Lilith. My dad has gotten himself into fighting in local politics trying to get hold from all these corrupt 2 party longtime family politicans, and the deeper we dig the worse it keeps getting. Ignorance IS bliss, but happiness isnt everything if we lose our freedoms and comforts for it. You should, if anything go rant some in chatterbox, heh. I tried tracking the national debt clock for a week or two.. But I just got so overwhelmed seeing the numbers and depressed I handed it to my dads friends and gave it up letting them stand there mouths agap. Hehe. Should of seen it when they messed up the economy, I think that made me give it up with the extreme change.

I appreciate that, Spacer. So far as the.. what is it trillions of dollars in National Debt? Here are my thoughts. Granted there are several factors but if the Federal Reserve didn't print up paper money without the gold to back it up - think maybe toilet paper wouldn't be worth more than the dollar? Not that I recommend wiping with money because, gross. But you get my point.
Now. On to a sensitive issue.. I firmly believe that the United States need to stop worrying about what every one ELSE is up to. Getting our hands out of every other countries cookie jars and noses out of everybody's business. We've been Big Brother long enough. It sickens me that there are orphans being shuffled about the system and homeless veterans living in the streets while we aide other countries. I'm not saying we shouldn't help others if we have the resources but we need to take care of ourselves first.
