( I think I got his name right. This is my first time really RPing her, so I might be a little over the place Xd )

User Image The skies were over casted with dark clouds that looked like they would leak their rain any minute. Istas had gone to take a look around the teepee, and she had gone a little to far and was now lost. She sniffed around a little, clumsily padding around. She was sure that Forte would be very angry that she had vanished and was probably out looking for her right now.

Istas reached a thin path and she followed it to the right, and it brought her out to a feild. She looked around, hearing thunder off in the distance... "I want to go home..." She whimpered a little, starting to really get scared now that she was really lost, and an on coming storm was about to hit.

[[ You spelled it right. ^^ ]]
User Image The clouds had come in quick while the aging stallion was on his way home. Wings stretched at his sides, golden eyes kept glancing upwards at the clouds, though he was very capable of flying over them. It would just be a little hard to see the ground, now wouldn't it? Dipping a wing tip, he altered course, setting in to land in a clearing off to the side. Wings beating a couple of times as he headed lower, his hooves soon touched the ground just as the thunder started to roll. long sandy strands drifted a moment around him before settling, well it looked like he would be walking.

Turning his head to one side, an ear twisted as if he had heard something just after the thunder. The voice was small, foal like and scared. If the voice was that young he could imagine that it was scared. Eyes searching the edges of the clearing, he soon gazed upon a young light colored foal in trees. Head tilting a little and wings shuffling at his sides to make sure the feathers were completely settled, the stallion stepped over toward the foal. Behind him, his long tail dragged the ground, though strangely remained free of anything that might get stuck in the strands.

Istas was carefree by a general nature, but she wasn't completely careless in her endeavors either. Her frightening situation could possibly be getting worse, and she knew she was right to be scared. Her eyes looked around wondering which way was going to bring her home. Before the signs of the storm she didn't care where she went, but now with a threat, she wanted her mother. It was then that she saw someone descend from the sky. This could have been bad.... He was heading right for her. She knew of other breeds of horses, but not to much about them... And Forte taught her stranger danger. But this was a double bind. This older male could be there to help her, or cause her harm... The lesser of two evils might be to ask for help from him, rather then try and brave the storm alone... The foal wasn't to sure what was the better option... While she tried to process this information it gave the male ample time to come over to her. Her eyes focused on his from... He didn't seem all that threatening.

The old stallion stopped before the foal, giving her space though also remaining close to her. His golden eyes watched her as his head tilted to one side a little. He was a father of five and a grandfather to the same amount from one son. Now a great grandfather to two from his eldest granddaughter. There were more lines that connected to his family 'tree' but they weren't to be pondered over too much. His family was growing before his eye and it made him feel older every day. Shoving family from his mind the stallion lowered his head down to the filly's eye level.

"You alright there little one?" he asked as an ebony ear turned back as another distant roll of thunder passed over head behind him.

He watched the filly as he waited for her answer, one ear was turned toward her while the other remained toward his back. He could listen to both and seemed that there was more fear in this little one then a few of his own children put together. Though his granddaughter was something else, flighty at the very least, so he had to wonder about this one now. Where were her parents or guardian? Surely they didn't let her wander too far from their sights, but knowing one of his own, he wouldn't put it past any one at that age. Curious and all that of course. Head raising he looked around to see if anyone else was around with the filly, though sighting no one he looked back down at her, concerned.

Her auburn eyes looked at him and she twitched her ears. To speak, or not to speak. The young girl looked at him, and then let her eyes follow him as his head raised. "I... Seem to be lost." She admitted. As she did she expected Solange, or Forte to come dashing over to scold her for wandering... "My moma was reseting.. She's tired because shes having babies... and Next thing I knew.. I couldn't see the teepee anymore.. " Her voice was sweet, and innocent just like a child. "I thought it was okay, but... when I heard the thunder I realized I had no idea how to get home... Moma's probably looking for me.. and Papa said that she needs to rest..." She started to realize the consequences of her carefree behavior. Had she paid enough attention how to get home, things would have been fine.

When a heavy sigh she moved her eyes over the sky, the rolling thunder and lightening was now in view. She shivered and looked up at him with a worried look... She inched a little closer, and then halted knowing looking to him for shelter might not have been as good of an idea as she had thought, he might not want her near him...

Shihab gave an understanding nod as the filly spoke of wandering from home and that her mother needed rest, though the mare having foals so soon? He gathered that maybe it was an adoptive parent at the very least anyways. When the filly came closer to him, though she stopped as if rethinking her actions. Shihab stepped forward and extended a feathery wing toward the filly, aiming to cover her with it like a warm fluffy blanket.

"Well, thunder storms can be frightening to one your age." he nodded standing beside her, "Now, come on, lets see if we can't find you a way home, if this storm gets too bad, we might have to find shelter and continue when it lightens up." His gave went skyward again as a small drop of water fell from the clouds and landed on his muzzle. Well getting himself home wasn't going to happen this day.

Turning his attention back to the foal at his side he looked in the direction she had come in. That might have been the best bet, head back the way she came until something became familiar to her. Still, with the speed of the storm, that endeavor might have to wait until it passes completely past and the sun, hopefully, comes out.

The foal wiggled her way under his wing, and she turned around to face the same direction. She looked up at him as he spoke. He had a comforting manner of a grandfather about him. She was starting to feel happy she had meet him and not some other horse. She had only taken the path a little way to get to where she was... "I had come through the woods." She told him, but she nodded with her snout in the direction that she had wondered. "We live along a river... Papa's nearby there too." She nodded some. She could see Forte and Liberty in her mind, spazing.. Liberty trying to keep Forte calm, as they try and find her... They were both her height, and with Forte pregnant, they wouldn't be moving to fast.

She hoped the small bit of information she was able to give him would help him get her home... She moved her eyes to the ground and a few wet spots had started to appear. She knew she was safe under his wing, it felt warm compared to the outside air, that was starting to get a little bit windy. She wondered if they would make it home before the storm. Adults were always able to make the impossible possible.

Already he could feel the start of the rains pitter pattering against his ebony and gold colored back. Shaking his head he stepped forward heading for the trees. At least there they would be under cover and the rain will be little to none instead of full force out in the open. An ear turned to listen to the filly as he bent his head down to get under a couple of low hanging branches. By a river huh? Reminded him of his own home with his human and mate. They too lived by a river, perhaps even the same one.

"Well, lets see what we can find." He nodded stopping for a moment to shake the water from his back and wings. "Also, my name's Shihab, what might yours be little one?" he asked looking down at her.

After a moment, his gaze went skyward, though the foliage blocked most the skies above, but snakes of lightening slithered their way across. A beautiful thing in their own light, but none the less dangerous as well. Pretty from a distance, but when one chose to lash out at something, the consequences were devastating if the something was struck. Shaking his head, long sandy strands waving to and fro along his neck before focusing on the matter at hand. Getting the little one back home before her parents worried themselves sick and worry for a pregnant mare is the last thing needed.

Istas nodded at him, she tried to keep a pace following him. She had to make two to three steps to his one. Shihab's legs being longer and all. She looked around a bit, it had gotten darker now that the ran started, she wasn't all that sure where she was. Her ears twitched to the sound of hte thunder rumbling after the lightening and she jumped a little.

"Sh-shihab~" She practiced his name a few more times in her head, making sure she was saying it correctly. "I'm Istas Misae." She looked up at him, but she only saw the end of his muzzle from under the wing. When he shook she moved in closer to him when the cool air ran against her. As she moved with him she let her childish curiosity get the better of her. "How old are you?" He had an older air about him, but he could have very well been younger...

The rain and cold didn't give him much trouble, but the slight wind that blew from behind made him shiver and pull his wing in closer to the foal inorder to keep her warm. Mane rustling around his head, he waited for it to ease and the thunder to cease it's roar before turning toward the filly. His other wing stretched a little and folded itself over his back to keep himself a little warmer.

"It is a pleasure meeting you, miss Istas. If I may call you that for short." He smiled before taking another step into the trees where the air was surely to be warmer and wind less. "How old am I?" he puzzled with a grin. "Old enough to have great grandchildren running around and they aren't making me feel any younger."

That was a question he really didn't know, he had forgotten his age a long time ago when found his beloved silver bell and settled down with her. Still, he had missed the sounds of hooves running around perhaps someday he would care for foals again, maybe not of his own... But ones that would need someone to look after them, at the very least. Keeping his pace slow for Istas's sake, he minded to not move his wing away from her.

Istas nodded at him as she blinked up. "That's fine~" She giggled at him. "Really? you're a great grandfather? Your grandkids are really lucky." She nodded after in a matter of fact manner. She had two sets of parents, apparently, but she had no grandparents... Well Liberty's parents.. but she rarely ever saw them.

"I don't really know where we are..." She blinked over at him. The paths were all new to her. "Are we heading to the river?" She inquired, unsure of what direction they were going in now. Since she had come from the woods, she wasn't even sure of the directions. She hopped around under his wing a little, having gotten more comfortable with him.

The rain poured from the skies over head, the very one that she had once been flying in before landing. The sound of it against the leaves sounded like heaven to the aging stallion, that he could almost fall asleep. An ear turning gently to one side, he looked down at Istas whom stood still under his tri-colored wing. His other ears turned listening to their surrounding, with the rain it was hard to tell where a river could have been.

"We will have to see, with the rain tapping across the leaves. It tends to fool the senses on where one has to go." Shihab nodded "But if we getting close to the river, it's roar will louden as we get closer. So keep your ears open."

Shihab wasn't very familiar to the surroundings, but if he was right there might have been a river not too far from where they stood. Though a fair walk at the very least. Stepping carefully Shihab bowed his head low a little to get under a branch, he kept a golden eye on Istas. He had a feeling that her parents would be worried about her, he knew that he would be worried about any of his children if they had been lost a good deal of time without appearing.

"But not to worry, I'll get you home. Even if I have to carry you." He smiled down at the foal, though wasn't sure how he would carry her, he would certainly find a way.

Istas looked up at him. He sure was smart, she thought. She never would have guessed about listening to the water to find it... But the rain was to hard, she could barely hear him with the patter of the drops on the leaves. Istas shuffled after him. The thunder rumbled again, and it was getting closer.

She wondered what a more normal family was like, but she wasn't sure if she should ask such a question. But it was around them, that she saw a flower, she had looked at this flower on her way through the woods. "Flower~' She blinked up at him, turning her head to look at it again. "I looked it at earlier."

Stooping his head down a little, Shihab looked back at the filly before looking toward a flower that she was speaking about. Strange to find still a blooming flower within such a place, but still not all that strange, summer was still here, not quite over yet. An ear twitched as as he heard the thunder coming closer to where they stood and the rain poured even harder. Some drops leaking past the leaves and onto his back.

"So you have an idea on where to go from here?" he asked Istas as he looked down once more. "If this flower is familiar, and we continue this direction, there might be a chance that we will make it back to your home in no time."

Istas looked around some. "Well.. The flower was on my left.. so it was over there." She nodded diagonally through the woods. The path wasn't going in the same direction. "I'm not sure if there was a split in the road ahead..." She blinked up at him. She wanted to get home, she was starting to feel even more insecure. She padded forward with him and tried to see if there was a path in that direction at all. "The human.. had a fire going too, before I left... But the right might have made it go out since.." She looked around some wondering of there was any smoke...
