Now in season 2 episode The Quest, Xena has died and Gabrielle has taken it upon herself to travel to Amphipilos to bury Xena. Autolocys, however, interrupts this plan much to subtext fans enjoyment. Xena has to be resurrected. To do so she has to be fed the ambrosia. We know that ambrosia creates gods; I give the example of Valesca. So by eating the ambrosia, shouldn't that have made Xena a god? Or does it mean that she was already a demi-god or something along those lines? This has just been bothering me if anyone wants to help clear this up.

Well, yes, it would make an ALIVE person a god. But since Xena was dead, I guess it just gave her the capability to be alive again.

Yeah. Xena specifically said it would bring her back, no mention of it making her into a god. If it would've turned her into a god, I don't think Xena would have wanted to be resurrected with it.

Well... I believe in the conspiracy theories of Xena's demi-godhood.
But yeah, like what everyone else said, Ambrosia will make a mortal immortal and give someone life-less life. But what it'll do to someone already immortal beats me.

yea i sorta beleive deh demi-god conspiracy too 3nodding ares being xenas papa 3nodding but that makes theyr smoochin and junk even grosser gonk
i heard somewher that ambrosia keeps gods immortal 3nodding but i dont think thass true ninja

So basically the ambrosia brings dead people back and alive people immortality or godhood? I know Valesca eats it and becomes a god but I can't seem to recall how Callisto became immortal. However if they ambrosia turns people into gods, I can understand her crazy lust for it.

You can't recall how Callisto became immortal because you probably didn't watch the Hercules episode that explained it.
